For anyone still having issues if you have enabled run as admin or override high dpi scaling in compatibility file disabled these it worked for me

Didn't work for me. Citrix caused the error message. I just uninstalled it. Edit: It worked only for a minute.

Try verifying files then restart your PC, then verify files one more time and launch directly through the steam library. I used to get this error all the time when I launched through desktop shortcut.

If it wasnt fixed for you with that, you have to change your steam profilename and your steamprofilepicture (avatar). Sounds weird but it fixes the problem

For me neither. There can also be a conflict with software. I uninstalled Citrix and now it works again.

To my surprise, I checked that box while turning off fullscreen optimization in cs2, and now I'm getting the VAC error, I don't think it affects like that.

Didn`t work for me it says "A game file appears to be missing or corrupted. In the steam client go to the game`s properties. In the Local Files tab select Verify Integrity of Game Cache to have steam double-check the game`s installation."

Just launch cs directly from your steam library and you will never get this error.

@@JardTheRat that doesn't work cause sometimes the vac error doesnt come until hours into playing, I've been playing csgo off and on for the last year cause of 1 week bans, there is no fix for this, I've searched for solutions for months and I've tried everything except resetting windows. Also, the error this video is referring to isn't the same one, this one is just "vac is unable to verify" and keeps you from joining matchmaking, the big error that no one ever has a video about is something like "something with your PC is blocking the vac system" and when you press ok it opens a link in your browser.
