I just got the new Steam update, and this happened to me. I really think the crucial part of this fix is exiting CSGO by clicking Stop in Steam. I did all the steps except that one, and it didn't work. But after doing it, it worked! Thank you very much!
I had this issue the other day, but verifying didn't work. so what i did was verify game files, restart pc and then just queue up for a deathmatch game and once i joined i just left and it then allowed me to queue for match making again. no idea what was going on, happened on 2 different accounts.

The only solution that worked for me was to Reset the PC. If you're a Windows 11 user, its pretty simple to reset your PC. Now I'm not facing this issue anymore and I can play as long as I want. If you want uninterrupted mins of CS2/CSGO, this might be the only option and its worth it. I also want to mention that I've used CCleaner before and Valve has mentioned it might cause some issues. So after the reset, I haven't installed it back.

It didn’t work for me. I’ve checked the integrity of the game files, I’ve restarted my steam, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled CSGO, I’ve cleared all my caches, and I have no VAC ban on my account.

@@masterblaster9784 I've literally gone on to an uninstalling spree on my laptop where everyday I am uninstalling 1 software from my laptop then I verify csgo files and restart the game and play it until I get the error to find out which software is causing it but I've not found it yet I have Asus TUF laptop and I read somewhere on google that Asus have pre installed "armoury crate" software for enabling game mode and it is known for causing problems in games So I decided to uninstall it but then I am not able to switch to game mode and all my games lag during gameplay, even csgo has only 50 fps due to this So then I decided to install an alternative software to armoury crate known as GHelper(found out on Asus forums) thinking that since now I dont have armoury crate and I can even enable game mode and play csgo without interruption but unfortunately the same error occured again 😣 Now I'm out of ideas just hoping CS2 comes out quickly and doesnt have the same problem

This seems to be different now and the typical solutions didn't help. What helped for me today (15th June) was changing my fcking steam name and then, restart steam, verify etc.
