- New solo piano arrangement by my friend Thomas Andersen. Thomas explains the background to his arrangement: “I decided to make an arrangement based on a mixture of 3 well-known arrangements by Liapunov, Galloway and Coates, I also added things from the original orchestra score. I guess you could my version is a variation on other arrangements.

I'm not a musician or even a follower of classical music, but Every time this guy start playing the piano, I start to tear up.
Who said Pachebel's Canon in D is boring? This is an absolutely beautiful and fantastic arrangement!

Probably everyone who had to play the looping bassline throughout the whole thing. Though I personally still think the chord is addicting as hell. Never gotten bored so far

I have always loved this piece, my son played it in High School, and I pray he plays it at my funeral.
Canon in D always makes me feel peace and positive. It seems like it has a kind of power to calm me down when i face anything or any difficulties in my life. Canon in D is very impressive. I love the rhythm of canon in D❤️

L'arrangement que je joue est totalement différent de celui ci, c'est sympa d'en entendre d'autres! Paul Barton respecte bien l'esprit baroque en gardant toujours le même tempo mais en faisant varier le volume, belle interprétation !

I like the editing choice to show two measures at a time. The bassline and each melody are two measures long; showing them each on on one screen helps to compare them all to each other and see the relationship.

The greatest recording of this EVER, is Wynton Marsalis, playing all three parts. The most beautiful poetic version ever played, hands down.
I've learned this piece when I was 13 in this version. It was so calm . Now I'm 14 and I'm learning Hungarian rhapsody n 2. This video brought me back some memories
