Absolutely not. He’s a douche and the fans hate him l.
I definitely don't agree with Gary. He ain't fooling anyone
Please don't jump on the UA-cam haters bandwagon of hating Ian Garry. As an Irish man he sounds nothing like conor mcgregor, completly different accent! He is a cocky young man with good reason.stop hating
Ian Garry is insufferable, he talks like he's the next coming of Christ and he ran away from Geoff Neil and hugged MVP to a decision
neither of those assessments is accurate. He outstruck Neal in every round, he didn't run away, he lured Geoff into strikes. As for MVP he threatened several submissions and landed elbow strikes from bottom. He didn't lay and pray, that could really only be applied to the last minute and a half or so of the whole fight.
@Fightconnoisseur96 The point is this: He talked all the noise about him being soooo much faster and skilled than MVP, how he was going to outclass him on the feet and how he was just on a totally different level....then got cracked a couple times and just refused to engage him at all in the striking. Yes, he got some control time and threatened a submission, but he talked all that delusional shit about outclassing MVP on the feet then literally did not engage him at all. It's that delusional element, that arrogance that is undeserved and unearned, that brings him hate. Because brother, everyone who is being honest saw him eek out an ultra safe, and ultra soy decision. Which is fine, but NOT AFTER HE TALKED ALL THAT SHIT ABOUT HIS STRIKING AND KNOCKING MVP OUT!! It's just unlikable dude, plain and simple.
@@doublec1758 so you are mad because a fighter made his opponent think he was gonna do one thing and then did the opposite? That is the oldest trick in the book, fighters do that literally all the time. This is not worth being worked up about. MVP got tricked, that is about it.
@@Fightconnoisseur96 he didn't do that brother, and you know it. He planned on striking with him, he said it himself after the fight. If he would have said right after "Ha ha! You fell for the oldest trick in the book! I was never going to stand with you, I just wanted you to have the wrong game plan." Then I'd be much less annoyed. But of course he "was in control standing up the whole time" and wobbled MVP in the second round(which absolutely never happened,(watch it yourself if you don't believe me). It's just so obviousl to 99% of humans with a brain that Ian Machado Gary is extremely delusional and narcissistic, and those are two traits together are just universally unlikeable. You are in the minority dude. The guy is a good fighter, there's no doubt about that, but he is not a GREAT fighter. He says that he's the fastest, most technical, most talented, and most entertaining prospect of all time. Then goes out two fights in a row and eeks out a decision in the most boring and un- entertaining way. If you honestly can't agree with any of these points, then there is no point in me engaging further. There is no need to waste either of our time .
@@doublec1758 you are taking his words WAYYYY too literally dude, all fighters sell their fights. Sean Strickland has lied about what he is gonna do in every single fight he has ever been in, for example.
You are fucking spot on with this assessment mate. Refreshing to see.
Shavkat finishes Garry and makes it look easy.
most hated in ufc
Shavkat will wreck him
This is it! Kudos to you and Shak for being real out there. Hopefully you guys still get interviews with him.
the boss said it was a draw.
The judges decides
Same guy says Jones is p4p no1
That bc he is@@loopvil369
@@rishbademhaPeople need to start understanding that. Dana is an airhead.
Garry is a tool. I don’t hate any other UFC fighter but I do HATE Ian Garry. That fight was a draw, NOT a win!
You could give Garry every single round.
Only Adesanya can rival this bell end.
"everybody wants to be McGregor"
I think he is going full heel mode. I don't see him ever being in the fan's good graces and I think he has accepted that.
I appreciate that you made a video like this most people who are involved in media especially being around the fighters and asking them questions would be be hesitant to do so because of possible backlash from the fighters👍
James is absolutely correct. He is not connor McGregor and tries way too hard to be someone he isnt. IRS cringey to watch. Hom and Colby both are cringey. For their gimmicks.
1:22 How could Ian have the longest win streak in the WW division? isn't Leon on a 12-fight win streak and Belal on a 9-fight win streak?
great vidieo James🙏🏿
i agree Usman is not scared of Him but about the Chimaev thing yes Khamzet is scarry very very scary but lets not forget that was a short notice too for Chimaev & Usman was not the Champion that time coming of a 2 loss in a row they did promise Him a win in that match Middleweight Title shot next!!!
so why would someone was in Usman's shoes says no to that Khamzet fight if You hear what im saying maMan🙏🏿
I picked mvp to win and I admit that I was wrong. However, if we adhere to scoring criteria and judge this fight on damage above all, after rewatching the fight, I could count on the fingers of one hand how many significant strikes Geary landed, most of which happened after Geary caught Page’s leg and even then the strikes he landed from top position were not very clean. Now, I am not going to pretend that MVP had a striking masterclass performance himself in this fight, as his output vs Geary was one of the lowest if not the lowest ever; however, one doesn’t have to be a genius or an MMA connoisseur to clearly see that between the two fighters, Page landed cleaner and more damaging strikes throughout the fight on the feet, although neither fighter did much outside of control on the ground and against the fence, and Geary did have more control time, and to his credit his back take in R1 did get him closer to fight finishing sequence, as he tried his best to get that RNC, but credit to MVP’s submission defence, Geary was unable to find a finish in that first round and never got close to it again throughout the rest of the fight. It was very clear to me who was the better and the faster striker of the two but the fight was a dud and didn’t live up to my expectations, although I wouldn’t disagree with the judges’ decision because, even though Page did out damage Geary over 3 rounds, his output on the feet was uncharacteristically so low that it was too marginal to expect his hand to be raised at the end, despite the fact that I wanted to see it more than any other fight outcome on that card.
Ian Garry’s whole spiel reminded me of paddy’s deluded comments after the Gordon fight! And him comparing himself to someone like pereira is completely insane lol it’s unreal and I’m looking forward to the day someone finally puts him in his place!
Ian has the wrong people running his public persona.
most people will only ever watch him to see him lose, even if he does improve over time and become a great fighter his personality will make a lot ppl just never like him and pull the numbers hs thinks hes worth.
Perfect assessment from you James! I respect the fact that you are being real and calling the B.S on certain fighters like how I did before with Jamahal hill when you interviewed him. And man this “random internet kid” lol was spot on about hill as you can see the backlash he gets from fans. Anyways all love bro and hopefully we get a Rafeal Fiziev interview from you
Been working on a Fiziev interview for a while, he's tough to get
@@LynchOnSports keep up the good work and the great content 👍
Crazy people forgot Conor vs max.
Colby was never offered the fight quote dana!!!
The rules need a drastic update
As someone who is not a native English speaker, I believe I can sense the difference between how Garry and Conor sound like more than someone from the US or Canada could. So, I can understand why James thinks he sounds like Conor. Most people I work with can't distinguish my English accent from any other Indian.
They're both Irish. What are you talking about?
Great video
I have been watching your channel for last 5 years. Always enjoy your takes. Agreed Ian just isn’t that guy
Would you ever have him on your channel? That would be a great interview, I feel like you’d call him out on his bs
He's a tough interview to get
After a day of thinking about it......I think he's at the point where he has to say that about himself to pump himself up after a win he probably didn't like
Anyone else notice when Garry threw his kicks it seemed like he was trying as hard as he can to be fast lol
BILAL MOHAMED has the longest win streak 10*
On point!!! 👌
Hit the nail on the head like always 👌
MVP lit him up on the feet. Good plan for him to lay on MVP the third round, but not overly impressive.
Garry is almost as delusional as Jamahal Hill & I disagree about him being a great fighter. His highest quality opponent was MVP & he (literally) hung on for dear life against a man 11 years his senior.
Spot on. Ian is a total knob sprocket.
From a promotional standpoint, do you think Ian winner is better for the UFC? Or would MVP have been a better scenario?
Fans like MVP more
Probably Garry because mvp can’t beat any of the grapplers and atleast garry might have a chance
@@LynchOnSportsfans don't like Colby, but he sells fights. They need a heel for the WW division now that Colby is fading. Shavkat, Usman, Leon, JDM, Burns, none of them are great at "selling" fights. Belhal isn't bad, but he's a boring fighter. Gary is what the doctors ordered.
Just my uneducated thoughts.
MVP is 37 garry 26 and promotable
@nathanheinl7975 - Fans liked Colby before the Leon fight
He's a good striker no doubt, but what he severely needs is aggression and muscle. If you don't ever throw, and don't hurt them when you land then it doesn't matter.
Man he’s cringe, but it’s gotta be Shavkat or Usman next and then a title shot if he wins. If he beats one of those guys, even if it’s boring, he deserves it.
What you said sums it up James, "He's acting like Conor Mcgregor, but he's not Conor McGregor".
He constantly says not to compare him to Conor but people will never listen.
@@hyp3mma476 we wouldn't compare him if he didn't try to talk like Conor, and I don't mean the accent. He is not as talented as he says he is.
Ian is. Cringe. King
its an age of cringe in mma .... garry, hill, covington, strickland. the list goes on
I hope we eventually see Conor call this dork out. Ian mentioning breaking a Conor record of going 8-0 in the UFC, so there was already a little jab thrown. Hopefully, at some point, Conor has enough of this fool and lets him have it.
Tell him he's no conor nor delivers in performance or trash talk
Connor made people laugh, Connor made jokes. He was entertaining before, during and after fights. Ian is boring, mediocre and boring...:)
You can smell the inauthenticity coming off Ian Garry.
Who the fook is Alexi pèrère ?!
James, i did not see him talking like Conor…. Besides, he won . MVP did not do his usual clowning around. He can talk as he wishes as long as he back it up - and he exactly doing that. He is not imitating Conor. MVP is not walk over. He doesn’t have to praise his opponent
@CaseyKCRichards - He didn't back it up though. He said he would destroy and finish MVP and he didn't
@@LynchOnSports he is not going to tell his game plan - which was to grapple and use his ground game . I had known all along that if this was just stand up - he would be playing into MVP game plan . I am irish born spent my youth there but living in California, Conor os mot liked at all in Ireland. Ian like Conor is playing a character. Let him be . Lynch is of irish origin Ir☘️☘️
@CaseyKCRichards - Nope that's a lame excuse, he said he would finish MVP. That's the issue. You can't talk like Conor McGregor and not have performances like Conor McGregor did. Have to back up all that talk. He won a close fight, he didn't dominate him
@@LynchOnSports not a lame excuse but he out smarted MVP- he won . Dana as well as i knew it would be a boring fight . He won 🏆
@CaseyKCRichards - Yes it is, you claim he said he was going to finish MVP to "not give away the gameplan" as if that somehow makes up for his performance against MVP. Again, he dominates MVP and finishes him, nobody has an issue with what he's saying. But he's pretending we didn't watch the fight he thinks we watched
He better avoid shavkat like the plague in my opinion. His talk doesn't match his performance. If he beats shavkat I will gladly eat my words. I just don't see it. He got the win, but he's not dominating like he thinks. I do give him props for asking for shavkat, because not to many welterweights want that fight.
Man Ian needs to learn from Enson Inoue! Don't complain about stoppages or how fights played out until you watch the fight back! Just crazy how terrible he acts. Seems like Paddy learned after all the hate in the Gordon fight. Ugh Ian is so Cringe he's never going to be popular!
His wife’s closer to the hit O’Malley is than he is
Ian Deluli Garry Gaychado
Usman, scared? Really? Scared lmfao delusional.
Ikr!? Sooo delusional!!! Smh!
His wife’s ex-husband’s family name is becoming famous
Has there ever been a more unlikable fighter than Garry ?
He didn't win. Not even close
Ian is a boring fighter and talks a lot
I don't think people give MVP enough credit he is so fucking good. It's like Khamzat beating Usman, Usman is a legend.
