When I worked a preseason game for the Timberwolves, at the end of half time, OKC was leaving the visitor’s locker room and headed to the court. I was in the tunnel near the court. Russ, who was and still is one of my favorite players walked past me. Now, there was a policy for the Timberwolves that we, employees, are not to talk to the players even if they initiate it. However, I was so star struck and the words, “yo, what up Russ,” just slipped out of my mouth. I believe Russ knew it was genuine. Russell turned back, smiled, gave me the head nod, and said, “what’s happening baby!?” I had a lot of fun memories but that’s my favorite when I’m worked for the Wolves. Go Russell! I hope you get your ring this year with the Clippers. You already have the most important one with Nina! ❤

@14:31 - This "difference" in "versions" of intimacy (i.e., love languages) is exactly what Laterras R. Whitfield of Dear Future Wifey said broke up his marriage in his recent podcast with Hardly Initiated. It's commendable that you two know how to successfully navigate this difference. This just confirms that someone with physical touch as their love language doesn't always have to get that need fulfilled by sex because it includes all kinds of touch.

Man snatched & wifed her up before negative external influence overshadows her core traditional values lol. What a beautiful couple! Cheers to another 16 years of learning about yourselves and growing together. The lot of women outchea are easily influenced by what they see on these junk apps, as much as some of we men want to get married, we're slowly but steadily deleting those thoughts, our expectations are low, & even if we find a 'Nina', there'd be prenups because people change like Ayisha curry, not saying she's bad, but the signs are already emerging😅

This is such a great conversation and gift to the world. From prior years of observations , I could tell Russ had a chill personality and tries to make everyone around him happy... but watching this video helps to understand his underlying mindset of pursuing simplicity and not overthinking stuff. Nina's personality matches well with Russ' and both continue to do a great job working well as a couple, raising a family and being role models in the world. Great way to start the weekend. Thank you and I'm sharing this!!! ♥

Damn, Nina… this was an amazing podcast. I’m a half white, half asian man dating a black woman for four years, and all I want to do is make her happy. I am a Russ fan as I’m from OKC (and how I got to the video), but you made so many good points and observations, especially about having kids. We’ve always talked, self-reflectively, about our relationship and future goals, and been honest and open with each other… but seeing how you (and how you’ve challenged him) and Russ have navigated your relationship really inspires me about our future and how we can be successful even if we don’t always align (and how to work on that). We do want kids in the future. Thank you so much for this! Im gonna keep watching!

To paraphrase Dostoyevsky, to love something you must be honest about it.
One of the most enriching aspects about following Russell’s career is that forced me to be good at seeing what was actually happening. So many people would have strong opinions, one way or the other, that it made it difficult to process what was actually happening.
But eventually it forced me to just view things more concretely and to better at spotting what was important or where the weight was. It helped me immensely in my interpersonal relations.
Thank you to both of you, and I wish your family love and joy.
