Bikejoring looks such fun and Rancho absolutely loves it. 💙💙
Thanks Lorna! It’s one of his favorite things to do 😊
Good Rancho,Belgian shepherds can do everything.I get pulled by my malinois when I use the snowboard uphill like a skilift 😄
by bike I prefer to carry him in the trailer "40kg" and he pulls me during the climbs 🚵🐕
Haha, what a great idea! 💡😀😊 We should try it too! And a trailer sounds good, especially for longer distances😉
@@ranchothedog if Rancho like to go in the trailer and you want to push .. I recommend you the "camino de Santiago" with the trailer, it was the best trip of my life.. plus Rancho would earn the canine compostela!!
It’s so nice to see you and Rancho doing one of your favourite things which is Bikejoring, thanks so much for giving the five tips on Bikejoring with your dog safety is very important to people and their dogs isn’t it. Aaaw 😊 Thank you! He was being a bit silly, as always 😁🤪😅
Adorable ☺️

oh this is awesome , I dont think my coco will be cooperative thought to do this
Thanks 😊 it’s not for every dog, but you can always give it a try!
Awesome review! So cute and beautiful dog! Thanks for sharing! Have a lovely day my friend!
Thank you! You too!
Love his Belgian energy!! Looks so fun and such a cute ending!! Thanks for the info on bike joring, I've had a few "emergency" stops as well as gear and harness mishaps 😅😭 And using a "bike tow leash" attachment worked great until the large female did a complete 180 while attached to the body of the bike to chase a random deer while we were riding in the rain 💀 Havent been out since so will have to give some of these tips a try. Beautiful Terv, and enjoyed your edits and music selection too!
Thanks this was very factual and helpful. My 3yr old malinois would love this I just need a better bike.
You are Amazing Rancho
Thanks buddy 😊
Holaa Ranchoo!!!😘😘😘❤️🐺❤️
:)))
ranico🐕💞💞💞🤠🤠
Hey!
excellent tips. Love the calm confidence -- Rancho's and his handler. Kudos
We often hear the comment 'you're lazy, letting your dogs do all the work!', they often forget, we have to get up extra early to prepare their food, go to quiet places and clean everything after....it is worth it though, seeing how much fun they have!🐶🌸🐺😁
Exactly! And the people who think we do it out of laziness just don’t understand what these dogs actually need. Seeing them have so much fun is definitely the best part. And seeing them in a deep sleep afterwards isn’t bad either.
@@ranchothedog agree👍
Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing! Can you please tell me how I can find more detail info to train mine!? I love Biking and My dog is a begian too!
Très beau beau tervurent j'adore ,il ressemble aussi aux mien ❤😊
So nice! Thanks for all the great info and congrats for Rancho! Greetings from Brazil!
Thanks so much 😊
Love ya Rancho.
Bone broth! Great tip!
Hiii! Bikejoring is so fun! Rancho is having a fun time clearly. 😍 In Belgium bikejoring is forbidden unfortunately. But we still go joring with Tove. 🤭 She just goes bezerk when the bike with the antenna comes out. 😂 We don't have beautiful trails where we live, like a the one you showed us but we still have loads of fun.
Thank you for the beautiful video!!
See you next time! ❤️
How interesting that it’s actually forbidden! I’d love to know why! I’m glad to hear you do it anyway though 😀 Tove must really appreciate that!
@@ranchothedog I think its because your not allowed to use your dog as a pulling force. (like a horse). There are exceptions for dogs like huskies, but you have to ask permission and go to the vet specifically asking for permission to use your dog as a pulling force.
Very good dog! Rancho is being cooperative, sad i cant do this with our golden retriever he even dont want to go out for a walk outside.Rancho and human really have had fun!
Aaaw, it’s ok! Cuddling on the couch isn’t bad either 🙃🥰😊
Awesome tips for anyone wanting to try bikejoring. It really does look fun both for you and Rancho, and I really like seeing all the countryside where you live too. The garden at your new house is looking great too, Rancho was having such fun playing in it. 😊💙🐾
Glad you enjoyed it! We do love our joring trips :) About the gardne, I planted a lot of flowers and bushes along with some trees and also veggies of course. So maybe in a few years, it'll turn into an edible forest, hehe.
doggy running out in luscious green and dirt fields, such a beautiful sight! whats the song at 5:30 btw?
Thanks! 😊 My husband made that track. Making electronic music is a hobby of his.
@@ranchothedog wow its really good, does he have a soundcloud so i can listen to it properly?
Look at that beautiful intelligent face
Hey, thanks for the video! What bike are you riding?
What are those powders you were talking about? Im interested in starting 😁
Did you teach your dog to check with you from time to time, or is it a breed trait? I noticed he does it so often and it's such a good habit cos then he's constantly aware of you/your location.
What kind of lead are you using?
Yeah, well... Tervuerens... you're right when saying "They don't know when they're past their limits", however, I think they know... but don't want to know. Denial, right ?
We've had a 3 day long weekend with long walks and Tess was really exhausted, we could tell... however, when we went to the door, she was there. "don;'t go out walking without me". A rare bread,
A German Shepherd knows when he's knackered, a Belgian just denies it.
I liked the video, even though we don't take Tess for bike rides. It's what you say, whatever the activity: get our dog to obey - always -, get your dog accustomed to human activities like people running, riding a step, skating, biking... then, when you trust them, and they trust you, off-leash is nothing but fun.
In Belgium the general rule is: a dog is on a leash at all times... I stress, AT ALL TIMES.
Sorry, NO! What this rule means to keep safe, is: a dog must not, may not, is not allowed to, disturb other humans or pets. I totally agree. But a "leash", as meant by the law/local regulations, must not be interpreted as a physical line. I tend to say, my leash is: MY VOICE. I have had many encounters with policemen or city guards, with my dogs off-leash,... for which I could have, rightfully, be fined... but wasn't. Because everyone could see that the dog would not be a problem and was 100% obedient.
I rather encounter another obedient dog, off-leash, with a handler who is aware of his surroundings, than an idiot with a dog on an 8 m leash checking his facebook likes while walking his dog and letting it do its thing. I HATE those people who are glued to their phones...
Anyway, we're all glad to see Rancho and you enjoying yourselves together !! And we know we think alike about many things :). Keep those posts coming !
Hehe, you’re right! It’s probably just denial. 😃 As long as something fun might be happening, they’ll never pass on the opportunity.
Glad to hear that in Belgium your police are reasonable and can tell a responsible dog owner from an irresponsible one. The law here is actually to either have your dog on a leash or off the leash with a muzzle on. So when we go to the city, we usually use a leash, but out in the forest people make their own rules. Just once a gamekeeper told us to put our dogs on leashes, but we explained they were obedient. I don’t think he believed us, but he let us go.
Good to hear you enjoyed the video! We’ll try and upload more often!
So I have a golden doodle dog he is so energetic and biking is scary but i use a kneeboard and it works so good i use a spinner shark so sorry rancho died
thanks
hello looks like belgium ?
Czech republic ;)
Tip number 4 is a little off... You only get disqualified if your dog gets behind the bike. To train at a high level you should know when and where the line should be stretched or loose.
That's what I meant when I said it, I probably should have made it clearer. I know it's not so simple with the line being stretched at all times, but this video is meant for complete beginnners so I didn't want to go into too much detail and make it overly complicated. I watched some of your vids! Great work.
Don't lay down the bike on the derailleur side.
