Hey Lily, love the way you explain the differences for b2c & b2b product design! Keep up the good work & ignore the negative comments! Have a good day!
B2B startups are incredibly innovative in UI patterns. I’ve invented many things in that setting. I think you are conflating big company vs small company rather than b2C vs b2B.
Have to disagree on this one. Overall, from what I've experienced and seen B2B is less innovative with design. This includes companies of all sizes, not just startups. Your startups may be the exception since you're the designer 😀
I agree with Glen, B2B has a lot more customized UI patterns, to suits these complex scenarios, B2C has some interesting visuals, but the UI components are very simple; there are matrix in B2B to measure the design, depends on the industry it could be different. I do like your whiteboard video, but sounds like you don’t have enough experience in B2B.
@@summerdesigner In the video, I mentioned B2B is much more complex (to your point) whereas B2C is more emphasizing UI, and leads in terms of world class experiences. Even within design teams of unrelated sectors, work of design teams like Airbnb and Meta is often referenced. In regarding how B2B is measured, I'm not sure what you mean-are you disagreeing with the increased difficulty of measuring B2B vs. B2C? From working in B2B, I find data collection is not nearly as emphasized as in B2C, where you have to measure and catch many small fish vs. one whale.

@@Designalily My 27 years of experience in B2B design must be mistaken. 🤷♂

Thanks for that great explanation! I always feel lost when i read about B2b or B2c
Thanks for making this video, Keep it up. 💯
Hey Lily, Thanks for the explanation!
But if you show examples, I think all are much better understood.
Thanks Lily!! it was great explanation!:)
Any designers here who like working with Atlassian products? Engineers seem to love it. Me, much less so...
I'm the 1st one!
