Thank you very much for featuring my builds and for the very high score! As you said I really tried to capture the look of Tahu by basing the moc of the original Mata set but adding subtle references to the other models. Also, small note. The head is wobbly and hitting the technic connector piece as the pneumatic T-pieces should be connected to it, fitting the neck in place! Looking forward to the other 5!

I saw your Toa mocs on Instagram and I really like a lot of your design choices. Though I would do things a little bit differently, I'm glad to see others making custom limbs and torsos from smaller technic pieces, rather than defaulting to the regular pieces Lego's used. Definitely stuff I'd like to see in Bionicle's future.
I like this quite a bit, and something about that mask just screams "Tahu Phantoka" to me.
That's because the mask was maded by Galva to be a redesign of the original 2008 kanohi

I think this moc isn't perfect, but still represents a lot of things I really like about Bionicle. Even if I don't agree with every design choice, I think there were some really good ideas utilized. I wish that if Lego ever brings the theme back, we see some figures more like this dedicated to their older audience who wants more complex builds. Building the upper leg or weapon from scratch is a lot more interesting than having it premade as singular pieces, and greater torso articulation and armoring is a great change. Can't wait to see the other Toa reviewed!
It's amazing but honestly I'd make a couple changes, such as vaguely longer arms, a articulated hand that holds his flame sword and abit more of a waist.

The use of the red tooth gear on the hip is one incredibly smart idea as throwback to the Mata torso.
I'm missing 90th anniversary Tahu in this review, hahaha.

The way the flame comes straight out of the wrist reminds me more of Vakama Hordika than Tahu Mata. It is a look I really like, though.

Man I'd love it if LEGO took this idea and made a series of collectable, master built, adult sets perfect for collectors and fans alike.
This, but with more completely new armour pieces almost all over (plus taking the design of the thighs and upper arms, and making them each one solid piece maybe), should have been the style of the reboot. It's an amazing figure I'll be seeing in my dreams
If Lego really launches these products, not only fans but also consumers will buy the remade Toa Tahu.
If Lego released this as a part of a celebration set I'd be happy. It's like a gen 1, gen 2, toa nuva and a touch of phantoka all mashed into 1 design!
Imagine they release this and if people liked it, released the rest. In fact if you replace the chest piece and the bohrok eyes on his shoulder with grey peices, you can literally call it a nuva form. Like he put on armour for a battle!
Also look! Knees and elbow joints! (For older bionicle fans, you have no idea how amazing this is :D )
That would inevitably lead to an entire overhaul of Bionicle XD

That and with new technology they could probably upgrade them too! Maybe replace the black sphere the toys had for a light-up stud like the movies had?
Or light-up eyes? Maybe you can press a button and they'd talk, making them the first talking lego set !
How about reusing Hidden Side's app idea and use it to recreate the CD and website hidden code mystery? Add fun games and more! Experiment like lego used to do before licensed set's!
@@WakoDoodle While that would be awesome, it would require Lego's motivation to revamp/continue Bionicle as a theme. But they seem to be annoyed at best by our constant requests to do so.

If Lego would make this as figure to pay tribute to BIONICLE, I would be glad.
I think this desighn is close to lego style
Add one of the newer friction adders to the neck and it should fix your problem
I think that if you find a way to make the shoulders face upwards rather than diagonally, you could fix the articulation issue and maybe make it more accurate to the original Toa Tahu…
Tbh not a big fan of this one, I really don't like the chest armor, the lower waist is very thin, the mask looks way more Nuva than Mata and the gear function being hindered by the chest armor is also a bummer.
I think the biggest thing that we can take from this fan model is that Kanohi. THAT is what the adapted Hao Nuva should have appeared like in 2008.

I need to get a 3D printer just start printing my own pieces that enough 3D scanner so I can scan all the old pieces I have in and then create new marks
Helryx is among my favorite characters but so far her designs have been...a bit monotone. I hope to see a real good one some day.

That’s a no on the ccbs. This is honestly the weakest one I’ve seen. Callan did better and that’s saying a lot lol
