He's my personal GOAT, as I'm an English Literature student and "poet" (put that in inverted comma's as I do write a lot of poetry and put it on Instagram but not properly published or anything) so his crazy wordplay never ceases to blow me away and I'm always thinking how the hell can somebody put words together like that and write to such a consistantly high level. His production has also gotten to an great level too. I do get that the idea of the "GOAT" is subjective though, as is the art itself, music benefits from context, I listen to Aes when chilling in my room, or maybe walking somewhere at night, I'd love to see somebody like Denzel Curry live as the energy would be amazing, and when drunk in the club Cardi hits the spot.

It’s nice to find a react channel with quick ears for lyrics. Aesop is one of the goats and a treasure trove of intricate, cryptic surrealist lyrics.
None Shall Pass is definitely on the cryptic side of his catalog.
My recommendation as your newest subscriber is to whip out your dictionary, pack up your traffic cone and listen to his album, “The Impossible Kid.”
It’s a really solid example of what this insane guy is capable of when he dials back his tongue-twisters a few notches. He takes his trademark lyrical mastery and brings it back down towards earth a bit. The whole album is much less cryptic and thus easier to understand the general gist on first listen.

That’s a good distinction I never thought of. Aesop is probably the greatest hip hop author of all time. I could suggest a sea of songs going back 2 years, but you might as well hit the newest one 'Long Legged Larry', it showcases his storytelling. The problem with aesop is he's the Michelangelo of rap. You'll never understand him on a first listen, even though he sounds good. You have to listen to a song 20 times and read the lyrics 10 times to even begin to grasp his genius. He is a nitch artist that only hip hop purists will appreciate. Not great for views, but everyone who knows him respect the hell out of him
