I am like you, I love rain and really love thunderstorms and severe weather. I love falling asleep to the sound of rain and thunder as it relaxes me, and I just nod right off to sleep. I grew up on the East Coast of the United States and we had hurricanes, and I loved going out in them. My mom thought I was crazy for doing that. In our neighborhood we had a pier at the beach and when storms rolled in I'd go sit on the pier and watch it come it, feel the electricity in the air. It was the best feeling, like my whole body was recharging.

I know the chanel from the time where you cave Rent your Minicans and personaly I think the new Car is nice but it is now way less Camping.
Campink for me is something you do to go away from the normal Day, keep the Luxus at Home.
Having everything electric in the Van is nice and easy but making rice in a Ricecooker, Enjoying a Game at a big screen, well thats Things you can have at Home too.
What you can't have at home to made a Meal in the Pot you always have use, maybe use a Grill and enjoy the Area you are visiting.
Here in Germany Camping is mostly done with a Tent and if you need to reload a Phone you need to use a foldable solar Panel or a small Powerbank and if a Fire is possible, some sausages on a Stick.
Also missing the usual Music you always have play in the End.

While I really appreciate the effort to try new things and keep things fresh and interesting, I do think that the gaming and big screens do detract a bit from the experience of camping, and could otherwise be done anywhere.
If you're looking for ideas for something new and low-tech to try, I think I would maybe suggest trying something like sketching something that you're interested in, such as ideas for a new layout for your van? If it's layout sketches, it really doesn't matter if you aren't confident drawing, since it's just a rough sketch to build upon.

To be honest, in camping don't bring technology it ruins the actual meaning of camping. Staying close to nature spending some thoughtfull time with yourself is the reason why people go for camping.
If you feel lonely bring a friend with whom you can chit chat Or read a book etc.
