Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is set in post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a pandemic. Former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers his wife Sarah, having been assumed dead, may still be alive and goes on a quest to find her. Days Gone is played from a third-person perspective in which the player can explore an open world environment. Players can use firearms, melee weapons and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend themselves against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures known as freakers. A major game mechanic is Deacon's motorcycle, which is used as the player character's main mode of transportation and mobile inventory.

In a perfect world this game would switch places with TLOU IP and It would get It's praise and sales (still sold near as much as TLOU2 despite critical sabotage) while games like TLOU2 would be nitpicked to death and seen as a dissapointment and that franchise would be cancled Instead , or many other similiarly overrated AAA games within the genre. Real gamers aren't running things anymore. It's not a perfect game but the potential Is massive and the pros far outweigh the cons , It's the type of weird experimentally fun AAA game we needed especially on the gameplay side, this world didn't feel contrived like so many other AAAs , critics were just fake casual gamers that only push generic dumbed down shit with easy mass appeal.
For those who created this masterpiece of a game, I would happily pay $90+ for a sequel 😩

Why has it taken this long for people to give this game the respect it deserves? It’s most defiantly one of the best open worlds ever made in my view . All the negative review that was made basically stopped any sequel being made . This cannot be right , we deserve a sequel. What a game it is. Brilliant work Sony bends .
I got it late but I’m going to give it a chance, and I always thought it looked unique especially because the main character is from Star Wars force unleashed
This is a beautiful game, in all the aspects of shooting, world etc . Definitely need second part.

I played this game on release. The biggest issue it had was bugs. Gamers expect PS studio games to be polished on release and this was not. Once the bugs got resolved it was a great experience.
Game was good for the few mission.. than was to repetitive same shit over and over got boring.

I just finished this game every mission every horde everything this game is a master piece 10//10 the story and zombies are just perfect . Take your time it’s worth it 😎👍🏽
It would make a great movie even. Every aspect was awesome even the soundtrack..... this game is truly EPIC. I don't get tired of starting over. And the syphon filter rifle in ng+ on realistic makes it a whole new experience
I WD prefer a game like this but not over fast zombies . More like walking dead type. Were enemies are humans mostly. A survival game

Had a blast playing this. Fun. The people who made the game obviously were skilled in gaming or knowing how to entertain. No part 2 is a shame.

Got a PS5 because I missed out on PS4 exclusives (I had an xbox one) and played basically all the big PS4 exclusives by now and this is my fav... tragedy they arent doing a sequel as the game and some of the systems in the game had so much potential
Belongs to alltime top5 games. Can't get over it, rolls on my mind forever and sometimes I found me just listening title music and staring it on ps5.
This game is unbelievable and unbeatable. Super story line, very realistic graphics. Each mission is super exciting. Background score is of the next level especially during hordes. Kudos to the developers 😊😊😊

This game has not gotten the attention it definitely deserves. It's a bit difficult at first, but it sure gets to the point where it's just PERFECT.
I played Days Gone on ps4 and did not like it. Then I played it again on Ps5, and loved every bit of it. I platinumed it and still think about it's emotional story till this day. The most underrated game in the history of the world.

I love this game…ran through it 4 times now!! I love how we have the freedom to do whatever missions we want or just cruise around the map doing whatever we want!!

Days Gone is a underrated gem, such a fun game, the story was surprisingly deep, Deacon was a really well defined, likable character, the gameplay, riding around on your motorcycle, the horde mechanics, one of my personal favorite open world games of the last console generation.
I love the characters in this game ! Skizzo is one of the best backstabbing characters I’ve seen in a game. The ultimate opportunist

@@anasshahid224 they did a great job at making him as dislikable as possible. Great writing ! Everyone couldn’t wait to get their hands on him once he left deacon out for dead to the rippers. I’m currently on a 3rd play through and this game is amazing every time I play it. I really do hope we get a sequel because there’s so much more story to tell.
The music that plays when you’re in an intense situation just adds to the awesomeness of this game.

Recently kill counted it and having never bothered with it before, I was absolutely blown away with the story, setting and especially how they set you up to take on the hordes… I’ve never had such sweaty palms since Alien Isolation… but this was action packed edge of my seat stuff! Excellent 10/10 for me.
Addicting gameplay, great progression system, well fleshed out characters and an amazing story. I can’t think of a logical reason why this game was bashed 🤷🏻♂️

I remember when it first came out i played for lime 20 minutes and put it down for a year. When I finally decided to play it I fell in love with it. Its my personal absolute best ps4 game.
Big fan of this one. It's great entertainment, the first time you ride into a horde and accidentally lead it through a camp ... Just awesome. The only downside is playing it time and again rather than play something else... 9/10
I loved the game. There are not many games i wanted to play constant to reach the end, but this is one off the few ones i played every free hour i had. The great music when u ride on the bike too your next unlocked erea. Man i got goosebumbs. The story line, the surprises, to plan ahead etc etc. Awesome game.

And for me when it comes to hordes , the tommy gun was my favorite .
I love Days Gone. And I think I’ve heard that CD PROJEKT RED (Witcher3, Cyberpunk 2077) was interested in the ip. That would be awesome. I need more Days Gone!

Vastly underrated and the delay didn’t help its case at all. This game had one of the best stories in a video game that I have ever played. Even made me tear up at one point if I remember correctly.
They even reintroduced his wife. In the most perfect way. I was hoping it would happen at some point. But I wasn’t even expecting it when it happened 👍👍. The horde fights were a lot of fun. The weapons you could create. Even your bike was cool. I thought that would be a down side or an inconvenience. But it actually felt natural and fit the game perfect.
Here is the problem though and why is slid under the radar and didn’t get the praise it so rightfully deserved. Why it missed out on a sequel or even a franchise.

That’s just all the mainstream stuff before days gone even came out.
For about 10 years zombie stuff owned a large part of entertainment. People got burnt out, plus towards the release of days gone. Walking dead had 2 of their worst seasons. For a show that a lot of people loved talked about and were obsessed over.
Days gone was delayed at least once. It was announced in 2016 peak zombie craze give or take. Delayed in 2018 not released till 2019.
Such a shame too because the zombies in days gone. We’re more of a problem on the side. They were there and a problem. But mostly just to set the tone. Most of the game you’re dealing with human enemies.
🤷♂️ oh well a hidden gem for those that played it. At least they didn’t get a chance to make it worse with a sequel.

Living in Oregon I was continually surprised to recognize all the places!
This is my all time favorite game which I have played through till the end about 8 times so far. The action, story, weapons, characters, emotions, excitement, hoards, is all in perfect harmony. You have to play it to the end to get the full experience.
Get ng+ and the rifle from syphon filter, put it on survival and it becomes a whole different game. Best game I've played.
Days Gone is criminally underrated. Probably my favorite zombie game ever, which is saying a lot considering how oversaturated the genre is. One of the most under appreciated games of all time.

Mowing down hoards one of the most satisfying game mechanics I have experienced. Everything about this game was rewarding, the character and weapon progressions, the story. So damn good!
Fighting hordes is awesome. You get such an adrenaline rush… and the weapon / skill progression is great. You actually feel deacon get stronger as you get more guns and unlock more skills

Investigating the bunker in the ambush camp is the way to complete that, otherwise it’ll all just respawn. I know you kind of had to retreat but still you didn’t have to leave entirely. The same goes for the horde you were fighting, they’ll all just respawn unless you finish off every one of them.

My favorite game of all time. I’ve played Last Of Us 1 and 2. Played Resident Evil 4 remake. Played Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2. This one in my opinion is the best. Can’t believe we haven’t gotten a sequel.
