With everything in my life being a disappointment as of lately, this is quite the opposite and I thank you for these great stories. I know I have heard them before but it is an escape from the mundane none the less.
I hear that Phillip. Here's hoping things improve for the world.
Hope things turn around for you soon Phillip!
An escape from the mundane…yup, keeps me going too! Best channel, ear buds in, the sweet distraction of other worldly things after a day of drudgery😂👍
It’s very telling that in times when the average person feels outside the norm, those who dwell in that place (because of things equally out of their control) can offer what little comfort there is. Chaos tends to feel comfortable to those who feel chaos, or something like that
Hang in there, things will turn around for you soon
This was so amazing. A good many of these stories inspired me to wright some short stories of my own. I really liked the 2nd or 3rd story, the one with the (Trees of Truth). It reminded me of my own daughter and how we would make up things on the fly and act as if they were real, such as the magical smoking pipe. Thank you so much for putting these stories on here.
Keep on Writing and Telling your own stuff!! Leave the world a treasured legacy.. You deserve SUCCESS.
This was a fantastic idea, you folks! Thank you Ian, Jen, and the rest of your crew at Horrorbabble! I'm 27 hours into a 30 hour drive so this dropped at the perfect time to listen to till I get home! I had to drive from Portland, OR to Los Angeles, CA, then Back home to Portland non stop so thanks for the help staying awake for my last stretch!
Don't you have trains?
Americans are all backwards istg
@@whythelongface64 yeah, but the drive was fun. It was a great adventure
You never know what you're gonna come across on the road that's for sure!
@@DocZ82 exactly! Plus I took a friend with me who had never been out of the Portland/Vancouver area so it was cool to take him to all these new places and whatnot
Starting now. I'm incredibly excited. Everytime I see a notification for a new HB offering it's like an unexpected present!
Thank you Ian and Jennifer these stories are wonderful❤🎉
You and Dr Creepen are the best at what you do. Mad love for getting me through the day.
One of the best channels on all of YT. Thankee sai
Glad there's a three-day weekend for this. Awesome timing!
What a nice way to spend my post biopsy afternoon.
😊 thank you
We had a crazy thunderstorm last night and these stories were just perfect for the mood inside. Thoroughly enjoyed it all so much!!
Imagine the first story with a modern chapter. I could imagine these creatures living underneath NYC. When Covid happened the trains stopped running.
Wow, 7 stories! Thank you to everyone at HorrorBabble for all you do. You're the best!
Way to go mate, looking forward to this collection! People classed as outsiders are always the best people by far. If someone has had any reason to rise above and push on through adversity, that pressure, if you survive it will turn you into a truly amazing and unique human being. Stronger, better and much more compassionate than the other 95 %. Don't break... it will be hard won but worth all the effort I promise you.
True brother, very true 👍
You can always find a more positive way to view almost any situation, even where most people will struggle to see it. It's really hard in the beginning but you can at least view rough situations in a more positive light. You'll feel a lot better yourself and because of this, deal with whatever it might be in a much more effective way.
Your mind works alot better when not under stress or locked down under a negative world view.
@@DocZ82 Stress is a great motivator. It's one of the main causes of procrastination because procrastination creates stress as the deadline approaches. I work much better under stress. To a point, of course. People with ADHD are at their best under stress. Their brains kick into high gear. They make the best firefighters and first responders.
Very true words.
“Certainly, it had much to do with something in the book which Warren carried with him-that ancient book in undecipherable characters which had come to him from India a month before-but I swear I do not know what it was that we expected to find. …..”
Keep up the good work and, as always, stay safe!
I cannot tell a lie -- it was my date book! Warren, who has a hookup with Cthulhu later this aeon...
@@awarningtothecuriouswerewolves Well, that explains why Warren is dead.
@@thomaslardinois6383 -- Let's face it Thomas, the dating scene is unspeakable, if not unnameable! Cheers Warren, who sometimes just wants to be...alone!
These are so nicely done, sir. This channel is making my year, thanks Ian. Your American accents are solid too.
I am so glad to have Internet access again, I really. Missed your stories..!
Ian I swear your channel just keeps getting better and better every reading.
Wish my guitar playing did that every time I played.😅
Awesome, new reading. I'll have to give it a listen after work.
I love when you put together collections like this.
This was a brilliant collection of stories that you put together for us to listen to. I took the time on the weekend to listen to them all. I enjoyed them so much. They all exhibited traits of outsiders and the authors were very descriptive. Your narration was exceptional. Thank you. Have a wonderful weekend 💖🌟
What a wonderful collection, thank you for bringing us such gems.
I seriously love your channel! I am a huge horror fan and I have always dreamed of writing my own horror stories. Finding you guys inspired me to start my own horror channel, so thanks a billion! I love the video!
Wonderful, great, I've been waiting! A great theme, thanks! And this first story has always been one of my top favourites. One of those that *really* need to be read by this particular narrator, thanks Ian!!
I'm arcading today so I needed this to get through. Schools out so it's crazy. 💀
Thanks Ian and Jennifer.
What's arcading?
@@carolrios9216 My daughter owns a classic arcade here in Tennessee. I work it for her on the weekends. I created a new verb to describe it. Lol
@@jeffashley5512 Sounds like fun!
@@carolrios9216 It's called Verbing.
Thank you. Gives me peace in a difficult period, and takes md away from this World to other...
Awesome! The Outsider by H. P. Lovecraft is one of my favorite short stories.🙏👻☠🐙
2nd. Lol Great Thursday treat. Thx Ian
Finally. Stories I can relate to.
The rain sheeted down upon the unclean city, flooding the gutters in rainbow hues and reflecting lurid neon from the cheap gin joints and sleazy massage parlors it would never cleanse. Hunching my shoulders against the staccato rain drops, I lit a cigarette and turned down the dark alley. Damn Warren and his paranoia. In front of me a dark trench coated shadow emerged from behind a dumpster. Ivory teeth gleamed on a hatchet face shadowed by a black derby hat. In a gloved hand he gripped a nickeled Colt .45.
I scowled and shouted over the pouring rain, _"I was EXPECTING Warren!"_
The man snarled and raised the .45 to my face _"You FOOL! Warren is DEAD!"_
And that would've been the end. But then Warren came up behind him with a cricket bat and hit his bowler for sixes.
Well played Warren.
I love your American accent. It fits the tone and era of the narrations perfectly.
I think it is funny. Almost a California accent but also Idaho, Colorado or South Dakota.
It isn't American. There is no American accent that sounds like his. Although he does a pretty good American accent in Far Below.
Accent? What accent? We don't have an accent!
HI Philip
Hope things are better for you . I seem to enjoy listening to horror stories
when dealing with chaos and Ian has my total gratitude for enhancing my audio experience as I listen to his dramatically superior
verbal performances .
Thank you for matching another story collection to one of my more frequent and moods!
I enjoy your work so much. Thank you
Thanks Sharon!
how eerily relatable stories wonderfully told. thank you.
Thank you. An excellent selection
Thank you, Ian!
Such sweet, comforting stories to help me sleep....
Is it Christmas??? It feels like it with this huge drop of stories!! Thank you!! ❤️
Listening from the ukwales❤
Barely 8 minutes in and already hooked.
Great work as always!
Thank you for your wonderful 👏 work. I truly appreciate these collections.
great collection, well read. thank you
Excellent offering! Thank you!
The first story is so damn good, and so perfectly read. Amazing stuff
AGREED
Loved it good work in bringing them out so much to hear ! Love it
Smegging aewsome! Thank you for all your hard work! Cheers all!
I prefer listening to audiobooks lately.. cant watch tv these days, plus its like someone reading me a bedtime story 😴
Thanks for listening, Max!
This is a great collection of stories! Thanks!
Another outstanding video thanks again Ian!!!😎👍👍👍👍
The best ever

good collection!! enjoyed
I’ve loved this channel for about a year now. Keep the stories coming Ian!
Thank you for that reading Horror Babble
This will be fun night night
Goddamnit I enjoy seeing those 2+ hour time stamps!
Arwcwb I know you!!!!!!! Hello my friend!!
@@ssshhhjjj192 Howdy!
Far Below is brilliant.
Thanks for posting this video.
The red God laughs was great need more like it... well every story was great but that one was great I love the idea of an alien species finding a war torn earth and trying to figure out our tech and what happened to us
Excellent
Space squid comes to earth, sees human skeletons, "These rigid inflexible things must have been as immobile as trees! Well, let's talk to some worms." Genius.
*1ST Story, ''Far Below'' is my FAV........REminds me of [aka] ''crawlers''/''rake''/''ghouls''.*
CHEERS HB..............
Featuring Warren, the original Outsider! See you outside reality!
I enjoyed It All Came True in the Woods, but the ending sent a slight shiver up my spine. Did she say... squirrel?
Squirrel!
A collection about me. Lovely
Off topic and childish, but I would like to hear more works which feature Ian reading the words “the poop” and “shrubbery” as often as possible. Why dim the flame of perfection with words of such obvious, endemic inferiority? Thank you Ian! I absolutely adore your work. Thank you for being a companion through many and more days of convalescence. There is seldom anything I’d rather “watch” on the service’s “It really is legal” plan. Godspeed good Bard!
I am a fool. Warren was just playing dead. Damn his black heart.
Good job 👌👍👍👍
Ian, your recordings have kept me alive. I'm 39 years old...my wife left me....my kids hate me. If not for your readings. I wouldn't be here. Because I have no interest in anything else
He is a good one isn't he?
I am in a similar boat, but not the same. I would like to offer some sincere support for you in your situation.
Just know that somewhere there is a guy who can tell you that even in such dire straits, you can handle it. It sometimes can even get better.
It does it's best to destroy you, believe me. But as terrible as it is, unlike the Crawling Chaos you can master your own life and overcome it.
Be well blessed, my friend. And please seek your best in every action of every day.
I am in this situation. Sometimes I enjoy work but not very often. I wish I could sleep more.
What accent? We don't have an accent! I love these stories, especially the odd ones. Don't get me wrong , i like Cthulhu as much as the next guy, but i like the collections best. Thank you. I would never have heard any of this without horrorbabble. I listen every night as bedtime stories.
Clark Ashton Smith had some good stories.
The narrator of the first story sounds a lot like Brandon Keener, his cadences are so similar
New intro music?! Creeepy!! 😁
Far Below is wonderful
glad you went in the Washington DC Transit area they're pretty far underground 50 ft is it maybe more 100 ft try me down there in the darkness try to escape those darkness down there that lie and wait under Washington DC you know the secrets
Poor Warren. 😮
I mean....they belong
Just not in our dimension.
The Red God was superb right up to the last silly paragraph about Mars. Amusing to read past people's mistaken ideas of the nature of the universe.
The Outsider is as tragic as it is horrific and brilliant. One of Lovecraft's best.
"Brrrrrr rat tat tat". Ian.... You are an absolute G.... Gangster..... ******In Far Below, right when the 2 electric powered death carts sandwich the monster
Billions of blue blistering barnacles in a thundering typhoon ! I’ll bite my tongue no longer. While the passage of time has let me finally accept the death of Warren and the foolishness of expecting anything else I have to ask - where did you get that great outburst which makes me laugh at the beginning of every episode ?
captain haddock as a cosmic horror protagonist would be something else
@@nedwardnobqop6568 And what’s more if Cthulhu dared tell Professor Calculus to stop acting the goat we’d have no more trouble from that be-tentacled bashi-bazouk !
@@teddydog6229 I need Cthulhu Mythos TinTin now, the pieces all fit

the wendell phrophecorim intense.
Sounds like they've known about the metro crawler longer then you'd think. :p
Great mid-20th century American accent!
...the first story, there's alot of different stories of sewer mutants and worms and of course alligators under NY. Is this story about to be the first of publicized urban legends? CHUDs?
Poor Warren
I have to say, your American voice would do well for voice acting

Old stone under NYC. My secret dream is being a sandhogg
I absolutely love Manly Wade-well man! He has all of the fun of early pulp horror without the racism. Are there stories that are not included in the 5 volume complete works. Please help??

Warren was at Martha's Vineyard, disguised as an illegal.
The underground monsters won’t go past 120th? I guess even they won’t go into Harlem.
