    Love your sincerity, it's refreshing and frankly I'd make the same mistakes if I wasn't advised against them beforehand, so thank you 😘

    I was looking for DIY waterfall edge videos for a countertop. When I saw she Chiefs blanket I had to watch. KC native here but live in cowgirl country now, Dallas, TX. I make sure I rep my Chiefs everywhere I go though lol. Thanks for the helpful video.

    Love your video, and thanks for sharing your lessons learned! Are you concerned about the wood bowing at the center? I love the clean, modern look! I need something just as long.

      Thank you for stopping by! I was, but we haven’t had any problems at all! We also don’t keep anything heavy on there; just a decor tray and video game monitor, then we’ll also eat there sometimes when we want to watch a movie with dinner 🥰

    Hey Jesse! I’m about to begin this project. I bought a dowel jig but I’m unsure how to approach the correct angle for the dowels. Any tips?

      Thank you! We’re so happy with it. Check out the description box for supplies. Measurements for this one, which was for a very odd and specific area, are listed below:
      Length: 89”
      Depth: 15”
      Height: 29.75”

    Hello Jesse,
    I loved this project and tried to do it myself. But the 45degree angles aren’t perfect when I’m trying to join the two ends. It’s more than 90degrees (around 95degrees) I wanted to use angle braces to join both the ends but now I can’t as the angle is bigger than 90degrees. How should I join the ends and what should I fill in the gaps?

      @jesseandcompany  Рік тому

      Speaking as a non-expert, I might adjust your circular saw, try on a test piece of wood, then go over the edges again with a new cut. You wouldn’t need to cut off more than 1/8”. Even getting it as close as possible, however, it’s not likely that you will have a perfect edge with no gaps. I like to mix wood glue with the sawdust collected from sanding it, and use that paste as a wood filler. With the sawdust being from the same of wood, it should stain the same color as the table.

    Such a great job. I’m wanting to try this but I have no idea how to drill the pocket holes. Any tips?

    • @jesseandcompany
      @jesseandcompany  2 роки тому

      Thank you! If you’re wanting to do pocket holes, I would recommend a Kreg Pocket Hole Jig and doing it on a practice piece. If you want to do the dowel system like I did, I’m not sure I would recommend doing it the way I did, which involved a lot of guess work and eyeballing. If you go that route, just go slowly and start with a test piece if you have one. Also, if you put the mitered edges together before drilling and draw the line the dowels should make across both edges, that can help you visualize the angle the dowels (and therefore holes) should be running as well. I really like the custom jig Tamar makes in the video listed below, but it requires at least several tools that I definitely don’t have. But if you do or can get your hands on them, I recommend giving that a try! Hope that all made sense…feel free to tag me on Instagram @Jesse_and_Company if you give this a try!

    What’s the length of the table?

    • @jesseandcompany
      @jesseandcompany  Рік тому

      The length is 89”, depth is 15”, and height is 29.75”. Super specific to the space I built it for. It’s super easy to customize to your own dimensions!

    I’m SO impressed with how this turned out. You amaze me. Would the process be the same with a different wood? Anything I would need to consider if I used a different type of wood to take a crack at this DIY?

    • @jesseandcompany
      @jesseandcompany  3 роки тому

      Thank you! I would imagine so, at least in terms of the process and cut pattern. The big differences would probably come if using a different wood, specifically a harder species (different saw blades or drill bit, different miter joint requirements such as biscuits or larger dowels).
