Don’t have too much faith in any politician party. Neither are fully faithful to God’s will and the example of Christ. Both have qualities that reflect His moral law. But both also have policies that go against His teachings.

The job of POTUS isn't to be "Christ-like". It's to "Faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." according to the oath. Trying to put the burden of student loans onto people who didn't take them out or paid theirs off? Uncontitutional. Trying to use OSHA to force people to get fke vaccine, also Uncontoitutional. And who was it that did those things. Oh, right. Not Trump.
Also, where specifically in the Bible does Jesus instruct anyone to ensure the ability of a woman to kill her unborn child. I must have missed that bit. The apparently now "Christ-like" Kamala Harris sure seems to think she read it.

They don’t question what they’re told. They don’t do research into how the parties differ in policies. It’s one of the reasons Republicans cut education. Less educated voters vote Republican. They want their constituents poor, uneducated and angry at immigrants. Then they’ll never question where the money they should be getting from their work and what they pay in taxes is actually going when they aren’t getting it wages and it’s not going into their communities.

UK here. This is a true Christian.
When salvation by faith turns into sin without consequences, and when blessings turn into material greed, Christianity has become the use of the name of God in vain (doing evil for selfish purposes by taking advantage of people's beliefs and ignorance). Hitler was "saved" by God from 40+ assassination attempts, only to commit suicide after destroying the people he swore to protect (60 million soldiers, plus 6 million innocent jews). The "greatness" promised by Hitler to Germany was a delusion that never came true, quite the opposite: Germany fell from its power and influence for decades.
OK but the last count I read said total deaths caused by Hitler was about 50 million. Got to remember tho, think about all the offenses. Jesus said woe to those from whom the offense comes.
Let's not forget the 5 million non-Jew victims. And, yes, religious texts even warn about false prophets, and still they follow this cruel dictator wannabe.
They deny meal assistance in schools but want kids to read the 10 Commandments while cruelly denying the 2nd one.

Join one of the Dem prayer groups. I did that for 2020 and just cried my first meeting via phone. Finally, a group of fellow believers who get it. There are more than 2,000 verses on poverty (& alleviating it), social justice and embracing the disenfranchised. It has stern warnings against those who exalt the rich and greedy.
I'm a former Trump voter, and there's no chance I'm going to vote Republican ever again.

I've always had "conservative" values, but I've always voted liberal for many of the reasons you mention, plus I feel the government has no business forcing others to be like me. I just wish I could convince other like minded people to follow suit. Pretty sure this is what it means to "walk the narrow path"....
that is precisely what it means. hold yourself to the standards of morality, but do not seek to impose them on others. this presents a very strong impact on our psyche, it fills us with a sense of injustice to see others not bound by what we are bound by. which is why jesus taught to forgive.

Theres a quote attributed to Ghandi (its debated whether he ever actually said it) that frequently applies, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
Often the loudest people who claim to be Christian fail to live up to very basic teachings of Christ. The repubican party in particular would probably demonize him as a socialist, since many of his teachings are about giving your wealth to help those less fortunate.
The fact that so many Christian groups act so contrary to what the bible says Jesus was like is what pushed me away from organized religion toward being somwhere between agnostic and atheist.
