I'm a Muslim, I'm so sorry. If you're gay, that's completely fine and that's who you are. If you're bisexual, it's fine. Whoever you are, it's ok. Be proud of who you are, whoever you are. Always be happy of who you are.

Don't apologize because the person who shot those pupils was muslim and u are too. It's not ur fault, it's that man and people shouldn't hate Muslims because of what Islamic State has done. There's a difference between Muslims and Radical Muslims and people should realize that 💓

+InternetPotat0 that kind of annoys me when people put that whole "kind" part about being human same with How he just said "I see no humanity" Whooooo writes these rules of humanity?? Cause if it's based off how humans have behaved for the last couple hundred years then this is pretty accurate

I'm only 14 yet when I go to the movies I'm starring at the door half the time thinking of where to run if someone comes in and starts shooting. Yet when I'm at school I can't concentrate cause I keep looking for places to hide if a gunman comes in. And I don't get to live my life normally because I have really bad anxiety and I'm scared of being outside. Yet when I see a policeman, all I do is stair a his/her gun praying that they won't shoot me. I'm scared of being inside. I'm scared of being outside. And I'm scared of the people who are suppose to protect us.

Do you realize that having a mass shooting or getting killed by a cop is really unlikely. The only reason you think that it is is because the media sensationalizes it for views.

i appreciate the "we are all equal" message here but i care if they're gay; i care if they're black; i care if they're any minority. i may be a white girl but i am gay and things like this that specifically target people like me make me scared to go out in public and be proud of every part of myself, and that is not okay. i'm glad that there are people like yourself who see everyone as equal but trying to stop the "small details" (which really are big details in some peoples' lives. have you seen all of the kids who are disowned and kicked out after coming out?) from being more important is the kind of erasure that cause people in minority groups to suffer. and yes, guns are bad; wars are bad; death counts racked up to over 50 in one day are bad; and people of all types, genders, sexualities, and races need to come together and put a stop to it, but the beautiful thing about "humans" is how different we are, and how amazing we are when we do come together and create positive change. |-/

Hey, everyone's voice matters. I'm a 14 year old and a bisexual. I don't know anyone who died either but the fact that people have died for no reason at all, it makes me sick. We all need to get our asses in gear and do something. That's just the truth. I feel the same way you do, about knowing how it feels. I almost feel helpless in situations like this. Idk. Most people are accepting of lgbt people like myself, but when people get killed because of it that's what everyone remembers.

    • @zackfair1863

The thing is, hating the world won't fix anything. The world already has too much hate in it.
I can understand why you'd say you hate it, but hating it won't make a change, it'll do the opposite, really.
What we /can/ do, is rise above hate, protect love, and each other. LOVE one another, despite race, who they love, religion, etc. Make a change FOR EACH OTHER, and those who come after us. We have to do the right thing /now/; Instead of just sitting around and hating the world around us we need to get up and CHANGE it so no one else has to hate so much, or feel so hopeless again.

Islam is to blame for a considerable number of these massacres. Their book, the Quran, promotes violence towards "disbelievers", violence towards homosexuals, and general intolerance towards anyone who thinks differently from them.

We need to fix something. The FBI investigated this man TWICE and he was still able to purchase an assault rifle, a Sig Sauer MCX to be exact. A gun that was produced by the military for use by Special Operative forces. It is a powerful gun that was ultimately made to kill as many people as possible while providing the wielder "a complete weapon system for any scenario or environment." This weapon was designed to kill and was easily purchased by a man deemed worthy of being on the FBI terrorist watch list. Why would one civilian man need a weapon of war used by special militant operants? And why was a suspected dangerous man, of all people, allowed to get possession of one? We don't want to take away your guns, we just want to make it harder for dangerous people to get them. We just want to make the world a little safer.

I am an American teen. I am white and I classify as bisexual.
I watch the news on a daily basis.
I need to know what is happening in the world.
We can't make this a normal thing.
We can't let mass shootings become a normal thing.
I only ever leave the house to go to school, or to go grocery shopping.
I have anxiety and I am always going over scenarios in my head trying to get an idea of what I would do in this situation. How could I protect the people I love, how can I protect myself?
I am honestly scared about what our society has come to. We are too ignorant to recognize what is happening. We don't talk about these things because it makes us uncomfortable. We need to stop blaming everything on race, or religion, or sexual preference, or even gender. We need to realize that no civilian needs an AK-47. No civilian needs a military grade weapon. We need to be more strict about our gun laws.
We have to give ourselves piece of mind.

    • @icenamosin2979
      @icenamosin2979 8 років тому

no, every citizen of age should own an ak or "military-grade weapon" as long as they are law abiding because people with military grade weapons and ak's want to hurt us. the reason why these Mass Shootings are getting so out of hand is because these bad people are targeting places where they will find little resistance. they know no one will shoot back at them until the cops come. its like the "fish in a barrel" analogy. and to say that we need more laws is pointless. these shooters got their guns legally and illegally. some had already gone through background checks. the government didnt know they were a bad person up until they actually did the bad thing so what will another gun law do to stop them. and even if they dont pass a background check they can go to the black market to buy their items. saying more, stricter laws will stop mass shootings is like saying the prohibition stopped alcoholism and the war on drugs got rid of heroine and cocaine. we dont need more laws, we need a better armed and more educated populous. (P.S. what do you mean "military grade"? do you mean the aesthetic look of the fire arm? because that doesnt represent how deadly the weapon is. or is it the rate of fire? because its very, and i mean very hard for a civilian to acquire an automatic weapon. or is it durability and craftsmanship, because everything that was made to a strict regulation is military grade. an iphone is a military grade item, your house is a military grade item, a laptop or tablet is a military grade item. im very curious what your definition of "military grade" is.)

My only issue is that especially in the latest video "Me and Mass Shootings" (incredible video by the way), they talk about how we argue about these issues and don't take action. In this very immersing video, the issues are presented, but no solution are shown or suggested. It's important to acknowledge these issues, but as buzzfeed said themselves, we have to take action.

A correction. There was a solution for the misleading news that politicians present. It was to address these misconceptions to politicians because it will attempt to encourage others to take action. They are regular people too, just like you and me. Not everyone has answers but we can attempt to help others find them.

Why mass shootings? because you can't help yourself? or because you hate. I am tired too, but I can't hold myself anymore. Mass shootings do nothing, but makes the 1 layer of us fade away. till we have no layers. I'm not saying to give up on life, but I'm saying, please watch what you do and please help one another.

When I saw the image of Century 16 or what it is now called Century I felt it. My brother was going to see the Batman Movie that night at that theater but it was full so he went to a movie theater in Denver. My brother could have been killed over someone's selfish act to kill, because he had the right to own a gun and use a gun, yet people in the LGBTQ+ Community can't donate blood because the Government is afraid that they might have aids. This is not fair the U.S. needs to stop allowing this to happen by allowing irresponsible dangerous humans whose mind is not in the right place hold a gun and shoot. Letting that person hold a gun- being able to own, use, and shoot a gun, has caused many to fall and never get back up, we need to speak up and stop this amount of gun violence and gun misuse in America, or one day it may be us who's down and can never get back up.

I'm sick of people blaming Muslims. their religion/beliefs literally had NOTHING at all to do with this attack. just because the shooter was Muslim doesnt mean he is an extremist. Why are you so scared of them? less than a fraction of a percent of them are even extremists. judging the entire race for that fraction of a percent is like saying all black people are in gangs and like killing people.

Look at what the Quran says concerning homosexuals, women, and "disbelievers" and tell me Islam has nothing to do with what's wrong with the world. Also, if people are Muslims but don't support these killings, they're being hypocrites because the ideology that they have subscribed to condones these horrific acts. Stop defending Islam. Islam is what kills people, and if you still haven't realized this, you're a part of the problem.

I don't see why my best friends should live in fear because they love different. I don't see why I should live in fear because you cannot see what is right in front of you. I don't see why every time there is a shooting I just think "not again" that to me is shameful. You said Virginia Tech would never happen again. You said Sandy Hook would never happen again. You say Colorado will never happen again. Wake up. It will if you don't stop this.

People need to understand that MUSLIMS and TERRORISTS are two very different things. In several comments people keep saying it was a Muslim who did this; no it was not. It was a terrorist with the intention of taking people's lives and causing others grief, I'm not even a Muslim but I know how hard it must be for people to say such horrible things about a religion when it has nothing to do with them. My heart goes out to the people who lost their lives, the people who are being penalized for having a religion that in some way is apparently tied to terrorism, and to all the people who have been affected by yet another tragedy. Something needs to change because yes I see humans, yet no humanity.

Like I said I agree with you that we should talk about everything going on around the world, and media acts as if nothing is wrong. But you can't blame our crappy media/ government mistakes on us. We know what's going on and we are sympathetic. Just like we would expect other nations to feel for us after all of what was said in the video happened in one day. And I don't think it's a waste of time trying to help America. It has potential just like anywhere else, are we just supposed to wait for it to crumble and fall into nothing but a memory? No it's our home so of course we are going to help it. Plus you also have to remember Buzzfeed is located in L.A. so of course they are going to do something for what happened in Orlando, I mean there are so many workers that are part of the lqbtq community, so of course they are going to dedicate something to the tragedy.

I am bisexual, along with my cousin, her best friend,my best friends are pansexual, my friend at school he is trans ( f-m) and asexual. should I be scared for the random lgbt strangers that I have not yet met. but the thing is I don't want to be scared, I - we, all of us in the lgbt community or even supporters of the lgbt community shouldn't have to be scared that one day some one might hurt us for being who we are, we should be able to be who we, with out death threats or actual death.
LET US BE WHO WE ARE!

Next tragedy happens the same repeating pattern will take place. I'm just wondering how many innocent lives and speeches is it going to take in order for America to realize that one man's grave is literally an open door. (Gun store)

When terrorists took action on 9/11 we didn't say the planes had nothing to do with this, no we as a society made airplane security at it's highest so why on earth can't we do the same for guns??

How come we say lets legalize guns in America let's make it legal in all 50 states but then we cry about what happens I understand and mean no disrespect to ppl about what I'm gonna say it's just my opinion and I'm allowed to have an opinion guns are designed to kill guns have no other purpose but to kill a car was designed to transport someone faster a knife is designed to cut but it depends on the user you can't say a knife is bad it's a tool it depends on the person who uses it but guns are simply there to kill not to help there are there to harm that is a guns purpose but yet we mad it legal for guns to be out in public I remember going to the movies and not worrying about some idiot to come and kill in a place were I could have fun but now you don't know if you will come back from the movies, mall, fair, club I used to think school was a safe place but since it legal to carry a gun more of these things are now frequent
