Barry was 9 and Robin, left, and Maurice (fraternal twins) were 6, in 1958 when they started. They had already been performing for 20 years when this song came out. Check out 'Nights On Broadway',the first song they used their falsettos in, but Barry comes in low and powerful! 'Alone', another sky-high falsetto masterpiece...the Midnight Special TV show live performance is the best, and 'Run To Me' is one of their best harmonies, recorded when they were barely out of their teens! Over 1,000 songs...enjoy!
The Bee Gees started with their music when Barry was 8 and the twins were 5. Their initial performances were, again when they were young children, at auto races where they would play, and people would give them coins. And it grew from there. By the time they were young teens they are well known in Australia, were performing in clubs and on TV shows. They all 3 play several instruments as well. Over their career, they wrote and performed over 1,000 songs. The had a brother who was about 10 years younger. He did perform with the Bee Gees a few times, but he mostly had did his own thing. The Bee Gees might be one of the most talented songwriters in music as well. They started doing music very young in England, moved to Australia where they had a few hits, moved back to England and their big break was scoring the soundtrack for the movie Saturday Night Fever that launched the movie career of John Travolta and was basically at the highlight of disco music
If I remember correctly when the US blacklisted disco in the early 80s the BeeGees were targeted first. I was born in 1976 so not the best memory. I am American and I remember being in Kindergarten and out of nowhere there was no more disco on the radio. Damn shame because the BeeGees were so much more than disco.

Their father was a big band leader and drummer. Their mother sang, but gave it up when she got married. Barry was scalded when a toddler and in hospital for many months. After surviving and returning home, his mum said he hardly spoke, but he always had a song for anyone who asked. He seemed to find more to say when the twins began talking. Story has it that their father (who couldn’t pay rent) brought home a tv when Barry was 8 and the twins 5. Neighbors said that Barry quickly “developed square eyes” from watching it so much. He was fascinated with entertainers and entertainment. They said the first time he saw a “song and dance man” on it he pointed at the tv and said that’s what I’m going to do when I grow up. Maurice said they were walking down the street and Barry said he was going to be a pop star when he grew up. The twins asked if they could be pop stars, too, and Barry said yes… and Barry was the big brother so he knew everything. He said they could, and they believed him. Barry said he always knew. They had one purpose in life after that. Shortly after the family moved to Australia to keep Barry out of reform school (landing on his twelfth birthday), they were heard singing by a local dj, were named the BG’s, and started working professionally. Their father quit his job to manage them, and they became the family of 7’s sole support. Their earliest video and first tv appearance is TIME IS PASSING BY from 1960. During a nine-month period, beginning in the Christmas season of 1977, seven songs written by the brothers held the No. 1 position on the US charts for 27 of 37 consecutive weeks: three of their own releases, two for brother Andy Gibb, the Yvonne Elliman single, 'If I Can't Have You' and the song "Grease", performed by Frankie Valli. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. (January 12, 1945.) She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two surviving members of the family. Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. Nights On Broadway ua-cam.com/video/UpJ9yMXgNvQ/v-deo.htmlsi=jPTiDBrXXoMrlXdO In this video, Barry was singing the lead, and Maurice (black pants) sang the falsetto. On the studio album, Barry did the falsetto. On the other songs, Maurice brings the harmony.
NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them.
I recommend the following songs: (I know it's a lot. )
