I’m so sorry! Remember that rejection is gods protection, he will reveal the reason for the disappointment and redirect you to where he wants you to be in due time ❤️
hi Alyssa! I am also a regional FA for a wholly-owned subsidiary like you are (but a different airline). we don't have a flight attendant flow program at my airline, but I have applied several times to the mainline carrier and haven't gotten the CJO. it truly is heartbreaking because you have all of these thoughts and plans for how things will be when you cross over to the other airline. I hope you know that you are not alone and that the people in life - both family and friends as well as your subscribers - love and support you no matter where you are. there is something great out there with your name on it. 💖 ps - I also got sick right after the holidays and it was awful! but I thankfully had a lot of days off afterwards and it was really great to just rest for those days.
Oh my Alyssa! I’m so sad for u. I know I haven’t said anything when I comment but I’m with your airline now too but on leave. Found out in my IOE I was a lot sicker than I thought. I was in the fall class and haven’t been able to get back. I too, went thru so much heartbreak knowing I’m not quite well enough to fly. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. I do think there are some aspects of our company that is so good, but there are some not so good aspects as well. You are in Texas now and there’s a lot of different airlines with fantastic pay within your area. I appreciate you putting God 1st and it’s a reminder to me of knowing God has better plans than ours. You will be in my prayers🙏🫶 thanks for being a vulnerable honest person and fine example for all of us. God bless
You are not a failure, I am a former FA I started training and got sent home the day before graduation because I answered I have never been convicted of a felony I HAVE NOT. I had a misdemeanor charge for a joint when I was 18 years old. I was devastated but got a job with a mainline carrier. You did nothing wrong. If I were you I would apply for another mainline. I think it is wrong how they handled it.
You seem like a wonderful young lady and I'm really sorry this happened to you. Based on what you've described, I don't think they were honest with you about the reason they rescinded the job offer. Keep the faith, but I would take this as a sign to move on to another airline. You have so much to offer. It will be their loss when you move on. Keep believing in yourself and the bright future you envision for yourself. You got this!!!
A very similar thing happened to me in my hotel career. I was set to move abroad to a brand new hotel opening I'd been recommended to but an old " warning" was found on my file. I ended staying put and getting promoted then moving into training new starters and connecting more with my family at home. Eventually I worked for a different chain which gave opportunities to work abroad for short periods not long term so the best of both worlds. The " warning" on my file was extremely minor but enabled me to teach others to be careful
Keep looking at the positives, you are such a great human being and your future plans will come to play when they are supposed to ❤ as it stands you are living a beautiful life
I know how devastated you must have been, @Alyssa - it happened to me also (altho not an airline industry job), being turned down for a promotion a week before I was supposed to start. Completely knocks the wind out of your sails. For now, though, keep flying with your regional, but also consider other mainline carriers. I don't know if mainline carriers give "extra points" for FAs already working in the industry when sorting thru applications, but it would make sense if they did. UAL and SWA have crew bases in Houston - a short commute. AA's major hub/base is DFW, still a relatively short commute. DAL's closest are SLC and ATL, and you already know where AS bases are. I think the industry standard is that you're assigned to a base during training/graduation, but then after passing probation, you can bid for another base. "Crash pad time" if you're a commuter, eh? In the meantime, keep your spirits up, keep hugging Damon, and keep making your passengers happy. As always, Cheers from GEG ❣
Wow, wow, wow! 😮 I want to just give you a hug through the screen. Girl, the way you turned this in a positive way as well as a learning point after your heart to heart about improving your relationship with the Lord. I am honestly flabbergasted about the decision this company made. It sounds more like an error in the way this company runs its system. I don't know much about how flight corporations work, to be honest, but this is nuts. You're such a beautiful human, and it is truly their loss for not allowing you to take these steps at this moment in time. I find you brave to slowly let go of your visions of that this month had in stock according to your expectations and see it in a way where this step is simply not for this moment. Thank you for sharing this with us. It honestly is their loss... How crazy all your contact info had already been changed too. PS Whatever content you post, I'll watch. I was even just thinking about journal prompts, some of the questions you ask yourself during these heart to heart conversations, or just meal prepping and chatting! You got this, girl! You got whatever is written in the stars for you! ❤
Oh Alyssa, I'm so sorry. I had been wondering where you were. Hate to hear that. Like you said, just remember God has something else better in store for you! You'll find YOUR perfect airline or whatever you decide to do. We all love you and I'll definitely be praying for you. Thank you for updating us, I know that was hard for you. We're here for you no matter where or what you do!
Oh Alyssa! I'm so sorry this happened. It stinks sometimes when God tells you to wait, but you have the right perspective. I'm glad you have Damon so close and in your corner.
I have missed you Alyssa but so sorry to hear you haven’t been well and about the job offer.I had a warning a few years back & after 6 months it was wiped from my record, surely this can’t stay on your file for ever & you can try again,I’ve no doubt you’re a lovely person & great at your job & you absolutely should be allowed to apply again at some stage if this is what you want.Take care
I can so relate to how you are feeling about this and I am so very sorry that it happened to you. Yes, God has another plan for you and it will be the right plan. ❤
To me it feels like God might be protecting you from something. You may never know what it is, but this happened for a reason. You have a great attitude, and your love for and trust in God shines through. He's got you in his hands, Alyssa. This too shall pass and he will get you where you need to go. That said, I think that what the airline did to you is terrible. Forgetting to read something? A warning? No one is allowed to make a mistake? Yikes. I hope it truly had nothing to do with you being sick. I also got the flu the week before Christmas; I wasn't able to function as a human being for about a week and a half and I am still fatigued, still having weird sinus pressure, and just feel completely off. I was supposed to fly somewhere last week and decided against it. I wouldn't have been able to work two days after Christmas. Hang in there. Things are going to work out for the best. Hugs!
Heyy, former OO regional flight attendant here! The grass isn't always greener on the other side. It could've been a blessing that you're not over there - I've heard people moving to mainline Alaska (even from OO and Horizon) and absolutely hating it. Not to hate on the company, but Alaska does have a lot of homeless flight attendants because they can't afford to live. It's a huge drop financially starting out. Reserve life is brutal. They can add flying whenever. There's benefits and cons to every space and sometimes rejection is a good thing. It means you're too good for Alaska and there's bigger and better things out there
Hi Alyssa and Damo! So sorry things didn’t work out as hoped, but I truly believe every little thing in life happens for a reason. We wish you the both the best in 2025!! - Gabe and Gabriella 💗🤙🏼
I'm so sorry Alyssa. A very similar thing happened to me when I worked for the Federal government in Omaha Nebraska years ago. Its a long story but I was envisioning myself in a location and position that I had applied for (a promotion) and didn't get. I had already "moved" in my mind. Long story short I ended up leaving the Government and I moved to that place I envisioned (Florida) and now am self employed day trading and calling my own shots with life on my terms. In my 20s I would have never thought I'd be living where I am and doing what I'm doing now back then.
You guys are so adorable together. There is a flu like going around, glad you are feeling better. Things happen and your health is more important. Things happen for a reason. There is a better plan in your path. it is what you make it. I was regional and now I work for a charter. Keep striving 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t work in the airline industry. But I do help people navigate benefits with the government. What you’re experiencing is straight up administrative bureauocracy. It’s not personal at all. But it really stinks when you’re affected by your company’s mistakes. I see it time and time again at work and like you, they don’t know what’s going on without someone with system access. The biggest lesson I would take from it is to remember this mistake and educate yourself. Go through your company policies and procedures, talk to other flight attendants at your airline and others to see if the same thing happened to them. How did they deal with it? By gathering more information, you should get a better sense of how to proceed. You might want to ask others who transitioned out of regional to mainline how they did it too. It sounds like your company made it seem like the transition is simple and in reality, they expect perfection. Thank you for sharing all your videos. Best of luck to you!
Oh Alyssa! I'm so sorry to hear. It's just a little detour on the path of life. You have so much to offer! :) Remember, God's timing is always perfect! :) Hang in there! I'll be praying for you! Big Big Hugs! And I hope I get to see you in IDA soon! :)
God’s timing and plan is perfect🙏 for some reason you were not supposed to be in the 1/6 training class. I had a F2F on 9/20 and got cut at the very end. We would have been classmates❤ last year I got a CJO from UA that was rescinded. It was so hard to see my classmates graduate and I see their posts about their trips now. My faith and trust in Jesus has given me the strength to persevere and be patient. I’m planning to apply to AS in a few months. Maybe we’ll be classmates someday in the future 🙏💙💚🙏 thank you for sharing your update! Happy New Year, be safe and stay healthy ❤
Thank you for sharing your heart with us. While I was listening to you share about your new opportunity. As a flight attendant, then about your ph call. These words came to mind, Man plans his ways but God directs his steps, I could insert her steps.
Alyssa this just breaks my heart. Keep your head up. This is not about you not be a great employee. God has a different plan. Maybe it's not the right time. Press into God and ask Him what you need to learn about this. Stay focused on Him. He knows the plans He has for you. You will look back later and you'll be thanking Him for all that He is going to bring to you. God is so good and always has the best for you.
I really enjoy watching your flight attendant videos. I’m sorry to hear that you can’t go to training. That’s ridiculous how the company rescinded your job offer the last minute. There are many other mainline airlines that are hiring. Please don’t be discouraged. God has other plans for you.
Heartbreaking video, I think God has plans for you so hang on and try to move into this New Year either a positive attitude 🙏I’m my real yo u you our channel, love your videos, I’m a Portland girl born & raised so I’m familiar with your locations✈️
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
It will be amazing across the next several weeks to see what God has planned for you. Thank you so much for being so real. lean into your BF , family and friends and your pastors. Their support and council is what will shape , how you feel. God‘s guidance will give you the direction that you’re searching for
It was definitely not in your control. It was a lapse on the regional side. Watching your videos it definitely looks like you care about your passengers and co workers. Glad that you have the support of your boyfriend Damien and family.
I experienced what you are going through, but like some one mentioned in the comments, sometimes a No “ from God is because he He has something better for us, just wait on The Lord, praying for strength and peace in you life in Jesus name❤🙏🏼
I am so sorry. It is just not fair. There are other airlines sweetie. If you are not ever going to be able to move up, time to change carriers. I used to work for SWA. They are the best airline or in my eyes anyway..😊
It sounds like they switched her regional access to the mainline since she was going to training in 2 days and would not have any more flights with the regional. The regional and mainline she is talking about are the same company but they each have there own company name.
This was very unfair but, you are a very strong person and will get through it. Is it possible that they were punishing you for calling in sick during the holidays and used the warning as an excuse to withdraw their offer? Either way, very very unfair.
So sorry this happened to you. Just wanted to remind you that you made a lot of people watching this channel happy at some point with positive thoughts. Just hope you find your path and find what god has planned for you. Relax and enjoy your own time for now.🫶🏻

I agree and suggest you would apply for a major airline and that you are NOT a failure. You are wonderfully made as it stands in pslams
You inspire me! Thank you for sharing with us. I admire your courage to share, and I am certain God has BETTER plans ahead for you! ❤
Damon is a very good boyfriend. So glad he supported you through this.
Praying for you Alyssa, that is so incredibly hard. Feel what you need to feel!
Just keep applying!!! Don't lose hope!!!

I agree, they gave that as a “safe” excuse. 🙁
My heart breaks for you. I think you are such a good person. I don't understand why forgetting to read a card one time has such huge consequences.
that's heartbreaking, and sounds really unfair. Obviously your passengers love you..

I am so sorry. It is just not fair. There are other airlines sweetie. If you are not ever going to be able to move up, time to change carriers. I used to work for SWA. They are the best airline or in my eyes anyway..😊
That’s such BS. Hopefully you can apply again assuming 6 months.
Are you still employed with your airline? I got confused about you losing access to your work email etc.
It sounds like they switched her regional access to the mainline since she was going to training in 2 days and would not have any more flights with the regional. The regional and mainline she is talking about are the same company but they each have there own company name.
That f-ing sucks.
I'm sure DL, UA, AA, or SWA would be happy to have you on their team.
Awesome 🇺🇸😊❤️cute life videos, because I love Americans usa way future

There are other airlines you can go to. If that one airline wasn't it, maybe another one is.
Keep the faith in the lord….. I’m sure it will all work out for you… look at another mainline
maybe another mainline is your calling, we’re hiring at delta! apply 😊
