You don’t even need to answer the door. When I was a teenager we would throw parties. Drinking, smoking etc. somebody would call the police (being loud) they would knock and we would quite down but continue partying. They can’t come into your house if you don’t open the door up. We would talk to them through the door and say come back with a search warrant. They said they would but they aren’t about to wake up a judge to get one. Plus it takes 24 hrs to get one. The police hated us but we never got into any trouble.

My heart started pounding, but I crack open the door and poke my head out. He tells me the neighbors said that someone is going around pounding on doors. He ask if I have seen them I say no. He ask for my name, asks how old I am, and tells me to show ID. I lock the door to go get my license and come back to a light shining on his chest. He turned on his body cams. I do not believe he was a real cop.

In my honest opinion I believe that this has made me a target because I had to represent myself for a traffic ticket. I have read that the presumption of innocence does not apply in cases involving alleged child abuse. If a child makes an "outcry" then the person(s) named by the child are guilty because 'children don't lie'.

I'm a 70 year old male with very long hair, well past my shoulders, piercings and a couple tattoos. Whenever I get pulled over (the last time it was for possible illegal window tint. It was LEGAL) the police take one look at me and assume I do drugs, or deal in drugs, or both. I don't do either. I don't even drink alcohol. I have been asked without cause, when was the last time I smoked pot? I have asthma, so I don't smoke anything. Never have. They are in disbelief when I say I've never been arrested. They always assume I'm on probation or parole for something. It's gets really ridiculous when I'm driving in the south. I have family in Florida and I visit from time to time. My California license plates are a magnet for good ole boy Sheriffs, etc.

my neighbor has called police on me twice, angry because I was wearing my shoes indoors and I have hardwood floors. But I knew it was them because I'd heard them and the neighbor talking, so I just didn't answer the door. They left their card under my door and asked me to call them which I did and explained my side and I suspect they will ignore her the next time she calls. Imagine being so looney you think the police would tell someone not to wear shoes indoors.

my neighbor has called police on me twice, angry because I was wearing my shoes indoors and I have hardwood floors. But I knew it was them because I'd heard them and the neighbor talking, so I just didn't answer the door. They left their card under my door and asked me to call them which I did and explained my side and I suspect they will ignore her the next time she calls. Imagine being so looney you think the police would tell someone not to wear shoes indoors.

This video really misses the boat. You're under no obligation to come to the door or answer or open it. If a cop knocks on your door and you're not expecting a visit just don't answer the door. If they have a warrant they'll make that clear and if they don't the other ones that'll be in trouble.

If police have a warrant, then they will break down your door. Then you'll have a door to fix. If they don't have a warrant and they know your inside, they will likely get angry/frustrated and assume you're guilty can lead police to use that as evidence of your guilt.
