Bart on the other hand might because everyone expects it from him and no one gives him any nurturing for him to change. Deep inside he actually is a good kid. I know people will disagree but I say that Homer and Marge are in fact horrible parents. Homer obviously is a horrible father but Marge is a lousy mother in a sense she doesn't discipline her children, she's overbearing with Maggie, she can't lecture/teach Lisa on how to socialize and she'll find ways to ruin the fun.

When I was little I used to play with dolls and play "daddy" with them. And I went through a phase where I was jealous of girls dresses because they looked comfortable. I grew out of it once I was about 10 or 11 it happens.
That would have meant that he didn't grow up from when he was a child. In Hurricane Neddy from season 8, he uncontrollably beat up other kids due to lack of discipline from his parents.
At least they’re not subjected to the kind of verbal and physical abuse Bart gets from Homer. If anything, it just goes to show that even when the writers try to stack the deck against the Flanders family, the Simpsons themselves still come off looking worse and it’s their show! They are the worst characters on their own show.
I know Ned is doing his job as a parent, but, I do think he's too over protective. He needs to learn he can't always shelter the boys nor always be there for them. He needs to let go, and prepare them for the world and for life.
