Pittsburgh might not have as many mills as they used to, but more important than the amount of mills is the types. We have the largest coking plant in the country just outside of the city, and we still utilize blast furnace technology to create iron and steel. I work at the rolling mill outside of the city and I seriously hope someone can keep foreign companies from buying us steel. It’s been nothing but great to me and my family and employs 3000 people in the valley.
