This is what I have needed for ages. I have seen a few other tutorial vid's about this, but found them somewhat "difficult" to keep up with. Having watched this one, I now think I might just be able to give this a go one day. I am going to archive this video to one of my Trainz playlists for future reference. I use Audacity all the time for radio productions as well as my own personal projects, so that part is simple (to me). The part about messing with the Trainz config files still frightens me, but this has helped me understand them a little better.

Hi Kris, thanks for a fascinating tutorial, giving folk like me the confidence to create something unique. I know I'm more of a lurker than a participant, but could I make a suggestion for a slightly different type of tutorial. There a plenty of vids out there for a Brit like me trying to get his head round signal aspects - approach medium, absolute stop, and so on - but I can't find anything on why or when signals would have one, two or even three heads or why, in Safetrans variants, a head might have one, two, or three lamps. Any light you could throw on that (haha) would be most welcome. See you on down the line...

I have created 2 horn sounds already but the doppler effect or the pitch changing after the train passes doesn’t work and im wondering if you know how to make it work or fix it
Make sure that your making the horns in a Mono audio track. Not a stereo duel track. Trainz only runs audio in Mono

@@ToritheGSMR1702-mz3rc yup. Trainz audio system works the best then the recording file is done in Mono
Tried making a 3 part horn with a little success but failed. If you really want a 3 part horn you would need a pretty long horn blast like at least 7 seconds
Yeah 3 parts are really hard to get right for me anyways.

Hey how did you get ditchlights to flash even tho you were using freecam on another loco
Because I wasn't using another Loco. I was on the Loco that the ditchlights where flashing on. Trainz+ or TRS19 Platnum Edtion users get more camera modes.
