    Great video - you can see the three main differences - faster pace = longer strides, upper body movement/synchronization for more power and head placement is higher. after 5 months of winter training, running my first marathon in 3 days and I've gone from 6:30 to 5:10 pace. It is a fitness thing but much technique and body mechanics have massively improved.

  • @VortexVisionStudios
    @VortexVisionStudios 3 місяці тому +1

    I've found out there is a technique where you can "infinitely" accelerate, you don't get a fast acceleration, but you get a huge top speed, the only thing is that it is dangerous since your body gets hot enough to make you die from heart attack or overheat your body.

    • @ollierobertson-kurd
      @ollierobertson-kurd  3 місяці тому

      Woah! What is this technique?

    • @VortexVisionStudios
      @VortexVisionStudios 3 місяці тому +1

      It goes about physics and body things, it's hard, but not impossible, even if it accelerates you, it's only for a short time since it consumes lot of stamina.
      It goes by using every single possitive effect in benefit of your speed.
      Like a pose that makes you get less air push, forcing you to move even faster, etc. . .
      I could tell in jokes that I'll use it to run to the work if there is no bus. Haha.

      The steps are longer when you increase the speed, not the opposite
      I mean, look at the length, he increases it when he goes faster, a common rookie mistake is to try to increase the length of your strides to go faster, so you end up running like 140 strides per minute when you should aim for around 180 (I committed this mistake myself😂)
      No I always try to go around 180, still I only can maintain 2:10 pace for 200m haha

      Speed is your stride length x cadence. When im sprinting my cadence is like 200 and my strides are pretty long. My stride length jogging is like under 160😬

    I find that in order to maintain a faster pace for some ppl me included increasing the length of strides is easier than increasing the volume. Just tires you out less. I would recommend it to anyone looking to knok of 10-30 sec per Kilometer without increasing the strain all that much

    As an ex sprinter I would suggest running more on your toes for optimal speed at your fasted pace, however I have never done it barefoot so that could change how your foot impacts the floor.
