basic math is good for daily life.
the people who create the things you use in daily life are almost always using advanced maths.
think about cars, your phone, your shoes, your clothes, your plates.
even something as simple as a hangar needs its tensile strength tested with maths.
it will get very interesting, very quickly as soon as you pass GCSEs. if you want an example of something quick and easy, look up f=ma to see how much force a travelling car has, or what speed you need to punch at to break a wood board. perhaps the coefficient of restitution to see how high something will bounce, the formulas will show you why something can never bounce higher than the initial height it was dropped at.
      of course,

I take it you're talking about school education as a whole. First of all, you're not special or "wise", some would say. Asking immature, surface-level questions like that is really the reason why religion and order exists. Society lies to you to keep the balance intact.
Just to be clear, school teaches you discipline. They tell you to do shit and work hard so when you grow up, you'll be used to, "working hard". And that's really it. There's no bigger picture.
"Oh what about rich, successful drop-outs, huh?" Wow, look what do we have here. They're successful because they know. They don't necessarily have to be geniuses, it's just that they simply know. Not to sound like mothers who think they're good at parenting but, what about you? How aware are you?
We need a second coming of Christ or the flood from Genesis or wherever they're from, for God's sake.
