These whimsical piano pieces remind me of some of the background music from “The Legend of Zelda” franchise. ❤

there is something about his music that is unlike any other, a unique language somehow
I came to know poulenc from his violin sonata, I searched for a good recording for what seemed like 10 years and even after I thought I found a good recording I still struggled to find meaning and yet it still was so good at the same time i liked it and continued to grown on me I feel like it would be difficult to perform convincingly
about 10 years later i read richter taking in his book of memoirs titled notebooks and conversations about the poulenc concerto for 2 pianos and thats when I started to become even more curious

Me reading Poulenc sheet music: This music is weird and doesn't make any sense. What is this?
Also me, listening to Poulenc: This is cool! What an amazing imagination!
