These are wild birds that have much higher energy demands than captive birds and what I offer them as an occasional treat is only a tiny portion of their diet.
so there is a small pool, plants, tree, kookaburras, other birds aaaaand chickens... is this paradise ? 😃
And a green pool x
You are a chicken m
According to Democrats, this is now called "High Capacity Assault Freedom".
You call that a small pool?
You treat these funney birds too well. they’re genuinely living the life.
I just hope they enjoy hanging out with me as much as I enjoy hanging out with them! Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
She doesn't treat them too well She treats them so well. All animals should be treated with love and care.
You can't treat wildlife to well this woman is amazing and so are her feathered friends
Seeing the chickens run in from off-screen just cracked me up, idk why
Haha I completely understand this. In this video ua-cam.com/video/zY9LyedpcNU/v-deo.html I used to always giggle around 10 seconds in when I see the chickens disappear off screen and know that they're stealing their opportunity to wander on inside while I'm not looking.
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
1:06 Chickens Seal Team 6 always at the ready 😂
Ahaha I actually really love that part! Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
That bully magpie. Proof that you can get away with bad behaviour and still be rewarded so long as you're cute :P
Your videos are a breath of fresh air.
Hahaha I know I probably shouldn't have rewarded that! And thanks that makes me happy hearing that 😊❤️
Everything about this video, is hilarious, but the best part, is how th chickens, run over to watch the fight 😂😂 your garden and house are beautiful 😎👍
Haha oh I was wondering if anyone would have noticed that so I'm really glad that you did! That made me giggle as well 😊 Thanks for commenting!! 😊❤️
I was about to comment on that part too. Those chickens are hilarious. lol!
Ya, I thought that was funny as well. It’s like the chickens were running over there to break up the fight.
And why not? Can’t have 2 cranky delinquent magpies ruining their paradise with violence!
@@charleseck3941 No, Chickens either look for food or kick other birds out of their area to protect their food seen them chase crow, ravens and even a ibis out of their food areas but everywhere else the chickens don't care if they are there.
Man i wish i have birds hangout with me. :(
Aww, well I will do my very best to supply you with weekly cute bird videos so you can feel like you're right here hanging out with them. Thanks for commenting 😊❤️
I see more and more birds each video. Now I patiently await for when a hungry emu shows up.
You have such a wonderful yard! it's almost its own magical forest of wildlife and fun.
You have the best laugh
Aww thanks ❤
I just love your house, the surroundings, your relation with animals and nature around you. It's beautiful to see, it's how it should be! The world would be in a much better place if we all did this: love for life, nature and all creatures. But one by one we're getting there...and inspiring others, like you do with your videos. Appreciation for your videos sharing these beautiful moments of your life!
Beautyfull birds. 🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍♥️♥️
Kookaburras such beautiful and cheeky birds
This is better than any department of tourism ads. I'd almost go to Australia just for the birds
Wow! They can catch the food!…😱😱😱😱
It always seems so fun, and you always manage to capture the drama😆. What a life. Much love to you and your channel😊
Aww thank you!! 😊 I'm just glad that I can share some of this with you awesome people!
Much love to you as well! Really appreciate all of your ongoing love and support 😊❤️
If someone asked me i had a free flight to anywhere... id be with you and chilling in the garden. Im sure alot of people would agree. 💯
lovely Kookaburras
The kookaburras are great 😊 I've had a lot of very cute moments with the kookaburras over the past week (both on and off camera) so I'll have plenty more videos with them to come over the next few weeks! And thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Aw! The Kookaburras sound like dinosaurs. Thanks for sharing!
And thank you for commenting 😊❤️ Haha yeah they're cute fluffy dinosaurs 😊
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia the best part is that this isn't a metaphor
Awesome catches by the kookas
I love these feathery friends.
I love to see Chickens running free..you have a lovely homely home..just heaven.
You know they all talk about you behind your back on Twitter. "Twitter" , get it , 'cause they're all birds. um......I'll leave now😓
Ahahaha! I think you win the comments on this one! Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Lol that was actually funny 😂
I’ve never heard kookaburras make that noise before! :) I’ve only ever heard the laughing and “awaawa” noise lol. They’re so chatty haha. Love your vids!
Oh they make it all the time when they fly over! Especially the young ones. Haha they don't make the "awaawa" noise very often though...
And thanks for you kind words! I appreciate that 😊❤️
Seems to be a "feed-me" noise that the young make. There's another warbling-like noise that the adults make to say "I have food - come and get it".
They are living such a great life. Tons of free food and water with no worries about predators.
So cute! Such precious creatures, Thank you and God bless you all!
😊❤
OMG look that pool... is green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very cute having these birds eating out of your hand. Like others, hope to get to do that someday with our local birds
It won’t take that long, just the right foods, but not too much, it’s just a treat, then let them do what they want. You soon realise they’re smarter than you think.
Birds like scratching in the neck under the feathers. If you tilt your head, close your eyes to and fro and small talk, they'll relax, actually act like birds do when happy and non-threatening.
What a lovely garden you have, plus your feathered friends. All I have is a pair of pigeons that call on me every morning, expecting to be fed, then they proceed to poo on my balcony in gratitude 😬....
Thank you! Haha the pigeons sound cute though!!
I love the kookaburras' small talk 🗣️😁
Yeah it's really cute! 😊❤️
Lol I like the fact that your hens literally run across your garden like mine :)
Increible, tienes algo especial con los animales....RESPETO!!
Какие они забавные!!!
This is genuinely refreshing
its like jurassic park with all that dinosaurs
Your garden is wonderful
This is the kind of Symbiosis which should be the ultimate aim of humankind.
I love your house surrounded by so beautiful nature n wildlife. 🕊️🐦🐔
Thank you! ❤
luv how you are using your pool as a natural pond. Just a tip about the algae bloom you have.
its from too much nutrients in the water. if you ad some water plants it should start to balance out.
I seem to remember
Laughing kookaburras are the largest member of the kingfisher family. Members of the kingfisher family are found all over the world and are some of the only bird species known to be able to hover
My Weekly dose of sanity is here.❤️❤️
Aww that's so nice of you 😊❤️ I hope you enjoy it! And thank you for commenting! 😊
Great looked like a nice pool lay out, I'm jealous

I love watching your videos ,always funny, cute and kind.👍❤😄👏
Awww thank you so much I really appreciate that and it means a lot to me! 😊❤️
Beautiful!
I love it all. Chickens to the rescue! 😁
Thanks so much for your comments 😊❤️
Australia is like one big fat happy Zoo ... And I LLLLLOVITTT!!!!
I love it too! Glad I can share it with you all 😊 Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
I love it too. Animals are better than most people but I couldn't do the spiders. God help me. Anything but spiders!
@@Fur_ball Haha. For some reason I always end up in relationships with people who are really scared of spiders so I'm always the one who has to get a container to escort the spider back outside safely. I'm more worried about the snakes though. We get some deadly snake around here and the babies are just as (or even more) venomous but much harder to see and much easier to find their way inside!
All in all there are more cute animals than scary ones!
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia lolol. Theres just something about 8 hairy legs looking ready to pounce that do me in. Snakes don't creep me out at all but am cautious of their venom. My favorite animal from Australia 🇦🇺.......hmmm.....there's so many to pick from. I think my favorite would have to be a platypus.
You can even befriend a common big skink to take food from you, as long as the kookaburra doesn’t know it’s there... ah sorry Lizzi, RIP girl.
My conures come over whenever I play these videos. Interesting noises to them I think.
Oh that's so cute!
and suddenly chickens 😂
Cute
Wow singing birds pretty nice
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Just adorable! All sorts of lovely birds you have in your garden 🪴 💕 They’re so trusting. Is that normal in Australia? I love Magpies 💕
Thank you for your lovely comment 😊❤
Hard to say if it's normal, the kookaburras are quite easy to make friends with but the magpies probably take a bit more time. And there are so many more gorgeous birds like rosellas and black cockatoos that come into our yard/trees but don't get close to me.
White cockatoos on the other hand...my next video coming up on Friday shows just how friendly they are.
I’m jealous. You got magpies staying on your hand, I got magpies attacking my head. 😢
Haha, are you a cyclist?
And thanks for commenting 😊❤️
When they get to know you, they don’t seem to attack. It doesn’t take long either, just the right foods & no dam cats
Hey they usually attack only when they have their babys on the ground around, who are out of the nest, but cant fly yet. Now they spend a couple of weeks on the ground, hiding in bushes. The parents protect them. This takes about 2 weeks. Otherways they don’t attack!
Once we could get out from the house with umbrellas only, and the dog also got stuck in the doghouse. When we realised what’s going on, simply didn’t use the garden for a couple of weeks.
I love how chickens rushed to see the show =D
That's my favourite part! 😅
YOU GOT SOME SWEET FRIENDS
I really your voice explain and kookaburra
Kookaburras are by far the most adorable bird on this planet. But i do say that pool has seen better days xD
Cheesus, you live in paradise.
More birds pls i can't stop watching this lol
Love it! Were the chickens going to break up the magpie fight?
Not sure actually! Probably more likely to join in than to break it up 😅
Birds are amazing :)👍great video:)
Thanks so much I really appreciate your kind words and am glad that you like the video! 😊
Sending love from Australia ❤️
Aww your the best ❤
Awesome.
jesus christ your pool is glowing green lmfao might wanna clean it , cute birds tho
So adorable :)
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Nice pond 👍
Ha! Thanks!
Love you and the birbs 😻
Aww thank you so much I love hearing that!! 😊❤️
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia those fat hens are so funny. I had a hen and a rooster when I was a child. Love their silliness
@@shaahin6818 Oh cute! We have a rooster as well but he isn't in any of my videos. Such funny little creatures 😊
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia when they are aggressive, it is clear that they have no idea how defenseless they are. It is like they still believe they are giant dinos 😁
Cute!
I love animals, I respect animals. Part of that love and respect is knowing that nature is red in tooth and claw, and if people have seen what magpies are capable of (if Australian ones are anything like European ones), particularly in groups, then I'm not surprised the kookaburra doesn't want it too close.
The Aussie magpies are very different to all other magpies and are not related, And are native to Australia. They are closely related to the black butcherbird which are found in Australia, Papua New Guinea and a little further out in Indonesia. I think original british settlers named them magpies because they have a similar appearance to the magpies they knew back home.
Ups...a lot of birds there👍🙂🤪
Thanks! 😊❤

Magpie is like: Magpies don't SHARE food!! :)
🤣
Talk about the lifestyle.... Hand fed by the pool while taking a dip... Sheesh..
Thank you
I'm not entirely sure what you're thanking me for but thank you for commenting 😊
What a wonderfull life :)
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
found the most relaxing yt channel and im also jealous birds would come to me like that
Oh thanks that really means a lot to me! 😊❤️
I love your videos.Since l was very young l had a strong affinity with animals of any kind.I was reading that magpies are very territorial and their separate groups can be very close together.Maybe that’s what happened here!
Thank you! ❤
Awesome birds. Pool could use a little chlorine though.
It's not a pool anymore, just a pond for the birds
Chickens: "Fight! Fight! Run and watch!"
You have better birds that we do.
I always thought all the magpie species had long tails. Apparently the aussie version does not.
The chickens: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
Haha I love that part! Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Aww 😅 cute new content, i like the catching games.
Aww thanks heaps! Next weeks video is another catching game as well 😊❤️
En oas för fåglar. ♥️👍😄

Funny birbs 😁
Funny and cute 😊❤
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia yeah! How is the weather doing? What degree celcius do you have? 😁
The weather's been mostly good!
30 degrees and sunny yesterday, raining today, and then only 16 degrees tomorrow and 13 degrees the day after that 🤣
Very up and down here! How about you?
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia oh wow huge difference. 13 today. Yesterday 9 and in some days about 9 again ... We already had 25 this year. it was so nice! XD we only have a little rain. So it doesn't even helps with that xD
Love your interactions with the birds, yes, I'm a little jealous! About the pool though, the longer you wait to clean it, the worse it will be when you do. Won't be fun to have to scrub that thing.
Thanks Richard! I 100% agree about the pool but that's someone else's problem...long story!
. ....somewhere in the Dandenongs perhaps .
are these your pet birds? cause they're so tame for a wild bird and usually seeing a human they'll fly away.
Pool water looks very green in a less inviting way 🤔
I wish we birds as cool as these guys where I live...
Oh where do you live? Thanks for your comments 😊❤️
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia you're welcome! I live in the U.S. in Indiana. I do have a major river runnin' behind where I live and there's a pair of eagles nested there and a few other birds of prey (cuz the river probably). I think Australia has the absolute neatest and cutest critters ever! Indiana is kinda bland... LOL😂
@@LizC-hq6tt Oh living near a river is great though. Sending love from Australia!
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia well thank you for the reply! And I really dig your content! Your videos they always make me smile !! So thanks for showing us the amazing critters you guys have in Australia, I absolutely LOVE seeing what kinds of different critters people have in their backyard where they live, everywhere is so different. There I go jabbering, take it easy and thanks again for the content!👍
@@LizC-hq6tt That made me smile! 😊
Thank you for your kind words, it makes me happy that you like my videos! All the best 😊
Why do you let the algae grow in the pool? Is it to keep the water “chemical free “ for the birds? And does that really make a difference with respect to the birds!?
amazing
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Awww
Thanks for your comment 😊❤️
Are you making a wildlife pond, or just behind on the pool cleaning?😂
Haha I like to think of it as a pond. Nah the pool is someone else's responsibility and they'd get annoyed if I took it into my own hands...it's complicated...

I would never be able to get anything done if I had all that going on in my back yard
May I know what food did u feed this birds
Hi! I feed them a mix with Wombaroo Insectivore and cut up chicken hearts.
This booklet has great feeding guidelines www.wombaroo.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Wombaroo-Bird-Booklet.pdf
They are supposed to be exclusively carnivorous
how do you get them to jump on your arm? is it just time spent feeding and familiarity? I've tried to (gently) touch our maggies and they aren't having a bar of it
Yep just a lot of time to get to know them 🙂
Move over, I wanna live there.
Are there any fishes in your pond for this birds
Sadly not!
