Wow this works even with my voice. So I put all the compressor gate etc into my vocal BUS. Rather than each separate vocal channel. The difference is significant. Rumble gone and with a bit of careful crossfading etc and better singing this will sound so much better. Guess what I'm gonna be using form now on??? Will save this into my basic vocal recording templates for CAKEWALK projects. Can't thank you enough ,man.
The Tube Leveller is one of the hidden plug ins along with a Vocal and Drum channel strips that have to be found and enabled. The Creative Sauce channel has a tutorial on how to find and enable them.
Hello I had a quick question..when I wa strying to replicate your process I am seeing that the FX Chain it always is showing up below the Pro Channel's EQ,TUBE, CONSOLE etc..how do I get it to show towrads the top like how you are showing it..
Thanks for the prompt response ! That worked ! My recording is mainnly cover songs with karaoke tracks..sometimes the tracks are set to higher pitches than what I cna handle..is there any way in Bandlab to change the pitches on audio tracks ?
thank you for the great contribution you made to show reliable examples of the complements of this daw which has never been used and know that it is free has me super impressed, but I would like to know from you if this daw could be as good as magix samplitude x4 pro because I come from here, I'm looking for another daw because I've had stability problems with the daw magix samplitude x4 pro, I don't have much experience in the daw world and watching your videos I see that you are someone who has a superior concept of the criteria of a professional daw and your opinion is extremely vital to me, thank you master. like
I also own Samplitude X4 Pro Suit and had no issues, but then again I don't use it as much anymore as I used to. Cakewalk is not immune to issue by any means, but it's being upgraded and fixed regularly. And, it's FREE.
10 Q 🤗👍🏼 for helping rookies 👏🏼👏🏻👏🏼 with useful educational info. 🏆 I declare that LIMITER/COMPRESSORS are the real Secret in Recording Studio. After that, reverb is just a secondary tool, it can stand out a track or damp it down so opaque, and when you add EQ it forcefully means Limiter/COMPRESSOR need AGAIN. So who have to solve the biggest problem? = Limiter/Compressor. Who assures the MASTER OUT don't surpass Distorion level? = Limiter/Compression. Who has to protect your speakers and any processing circuitry from overload voltage? COMPRESSORS. 🍇🌮🍷🍾
Having a gate as insert effect is generally bad practice. A gate is used BEFORE starting a mix to clean up your raw data from noise, i.e. you bounce the gate on the track. The raw data is then clean from noise and you can remove the gate, getting back CPU ressource and disk space. I am not yet convinced by this prochannel. It takes too much space on the mixer for the inconvenience it brings. Its effects have no character nor have good functionality (not even a gain compensation in the eq or any of the compressors, lol). I also wouldnt use the pro channel insert FX. Because when this big GUI of pro channel is closed you loose tracks of the chain of applied FX. It is far better to stick with the insert on the mixer. You can see all your FX of all your mix at once.
Total Cakewalk Newbie here! Your tutorial really helped me. Great work Sir.

Insane that this DAW is free! Nice work, Vatche.
Yes, I know. Over the years I owned even Cakewalk Music Maker 7, Cakewalk Studio, Sonar X3 Artist LOL!
David, are you from LA? Years ago, I worked with an engineer with your name.

You can simply click on the top bar of each module and drag them up or down to reorder them.

@@teluguboyful Yes there is and I'm about to record a new video on that topic. Keep an eye out on my channel, soon.
Thank you for this! If you were to add pitch correction, where would u slot it in? Possible at the beginning right after the noise gate?
Correct. Best to feed unprocessed audio to them, but if it's noisy, clean up and gate/expander will help.
@@RecordingStudio9 thank you for your advice and videos!!

can all these effects be used in live performance?
Probably not, as they will introduce latency.
@@RecordingStudio9 Can you suggest a free daw that can be used for LIVE? just need to add effects to voice.
Sir, I want to listen this whole song. Plz provide me the link.

Do you always add reverb?
