  • Less than an hour to assemble, about 12 minute time-lapse with some captions and then my review and commentary. I like these enclosures! Mentioned Trey and April Beck and Kennan Harkin toward the end since their use of these enclosures prompted me to look into them. Check out Reptile Supply Company if you're in the market for one (or more)! www.reptilesupp...

    I had the same problem with zoomed reptibreeze for my cuban knight anole the front door were bent and other thing were broken I contacted shop I ordered that cage and they gave me discount In my opinion is zoomed responsibly for that -faulty items shouldn’t be packed and shipped

    I had a bearded dragon that was very docile and freaked out when I went to take her back inside. Cool enclosures!

      Chuck Horne Dang, that's pretty cold for this time of year. It's been raining like crazy the past couple of days here in Florida.
      I look forward to seeing updates!

    Chuck, do you think it'd be fairly easy to connect two of these together to create a 72 x 18 x 48 enclosure? I don't see why not with minor modifications, but just wondering if there are any unseen interferences.

      Hey Glen! Yep, I've seen it done at a local pet shop. Might need to drill some pilot holes, but the aluminum is easy to work with so it should be easily doable.

    Those are great for a smaller iguana species. A little small for Isabella LOL shes at 6 foot now and I think her enclosure is small. Loved the video Chuck!!!

    It's very nice but was it expensive

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  7 років тому +1

      I've seen them for sale from $175 to over $300, so yeah they can be considered expensive. I got my two at the lower end, but had to pay shipping so that raised it up some. I'm happy with the investment so far. Thanks for watching!

      They're great cages, not perfect by any means. Their mobility for moving in and outside (unless you're in a tropical area where they stay outside all year) is awesome.

    Observing you unbox and assemble the iguanarium in a timelapse really emphasized the intelligence of humans for me. I have yet to see any other species unbox and assemble iguanariums.

    I enjoyed this video a lot and found it very useful. How big are the iguanas you want to put in these cages? Mine is 34 inches so I'm trying to get a good size cage for him for now and get his new cage before he's fully grown. Let me know what you think. Thanks

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  7 років тому

      Isaac Holguin thanks for watching and commenting! I used the Iguanariums to keep my pair of Honduran spiny tail iguanas outside during the day this summer. My male is about 30" and female just shy of 2'. Zoomed recommends them for animals 3' or less. I think yours is probably reaching the max size I would use one for. They're great cages though, IMHO.

    Hi Chuck what do you think can that iguanarium be used as green tree monitor enclosure? Is it big enough? I know tree monitors need high humidity but I can cover with clear table cover like I did for my knight anole and is holding humidity very well plus of course I use humidifier Thank you

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  5 років тому

      Hi, sorry for the delay in responding, meant to do so earlier. I have no experience with GT monitors so I'm hesitant to offer an opinion. Clear plastic sheeting can be used and easily secured to the wire but these things will never be really good at holding in humidity

  • @frankamiri1834

    Can you put a green Basilisks in it? I’m just curious

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  5 років тому

      I only have limited experience with the basilisks, but my understanding is they can be very flighty and might suffer snout injuries rubbing on the wire cage. Solid sided, visual barriers have always been what I've thought of for basilisk enclosures. Maybe someone with more experience with them can chime in.....

      @@ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom thank you! I've been debating ordering this cage for my adult Male veiled chameleon. And haven't found a lot of info on it. It's exactly the dimensions I want so I was contemplating disregarding the negative reviews I've seen.

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  4 роки тому

      @@brittanypalmer4921 it's not perfect by any stretch! I get more use out of it with responsive iguanas than I do with my decidedly unresponsive knight anoles, and this is primarily because of the awkwardness of the 2 doors if that makes sense. My iguanas will come to me when I open the small door on top, for the knights I'd have to do a lot of reaching through either door if I really needed to catch them for some reason. I'd honestly do an xlrg Reptibreeze instead for a Chameleon.

      @@ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom my cham is a screen climber, I've been trying to find a wire cage with small enough gaps to house him without injuring himself or escaping. He comes out on his own when I open his doors so that doesn't concern me. My biggest issue is the reptibreeze xl won't fit depth wise in my room. I need something similar to my current one which I custom built (18x30x48). I have my female in a reptibreeze 18×36×36 which I love but it's not tall enough for him and they don't make that footprint taller unfortunately

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  7 років тому

      Paula Biggs they are very mobile and convenient to move in and out of the house. I'm not a fan of placing lights/heaters inside enclosures, I prefer placing domes/fixtures on top, but I guess either can be done with these.

    • @paulafurnare-biggs1713
      @paulafurnare-biggs1713 7 років тому +1

      Yes i have a mini deep dome but i also have a uvb tube light for now

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  7 років тому

      I use the T5 florescents as well, set the fixture right across the top with incandescents for a hot spot (in a dome, on top) with a ceramic heat emitter for 24 hour warmth (also in a dome, on top).

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  6 років тому

      Thanks for watching and commenting! Bossk's enclosure "was" a 4'x4'x2' (LxHxW) CagesByDesign enclosure. I just recently - this past weekend, put them both in their separate Iguanariums in the Lizard Room. I "try" to get them both to come out everyday to get some roaming time because I realize the cages should be bigger, especially for Bossk. I say try, because sometimes they just won't come out!

    • @shanetritt3656
      @shanetritt3656 6 років тому

      Yea I understand that lol. I always wanted one and I want to get everything set up before I get one, with space needed I wanted to make sure that they'd have enough room as in adult. U think one of these would be ok as long as he gettin roaming time for little each day when he/she wants to come out?

    • @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom
      @ChuckHorneTheLizardRoom  6 років тому

      I do. ZooMed markets the Iguanarium for lizards up to 3' long. Honduran spiny tails are said to max out a 3'. Bossk is barely 2 1/2' and Tiamat is considerably smaller, so I think they are okay. But yeah, letting them get some roaming time is a very good idea.
