Author of Leap Of Death here, glad to see Jimmy still enjoying the map. Heck I still do too. I made every bump, every meter of the roads by hand, bump by bump all the way to the top because I wanted a challenging road in beamng. I still almost never can drive to the top without resetting the car. Regardless of what car I use. It is now updated to work with the latest version of the game, and time trials is coming in a later update.
Dudddde I went up the walls no road, with a 580HP side by side (at some parts a 1400HP one) took about 5 hours and a lot of dedication. This map has some of the funnest trails ever. Good Job!
1:38 Well Jimmy, if you are looking for more things to do in BeamNG there are now laser scanned versions of the Nordschleife and Spa available as a mod :) Since the reworked physics BeamNG has come pretty close to a proper sim too. It's quite an experience to throw a race car around one of the tracks as if you are playing Asetto Corsa or something and suddenly be reminded it's BeamNG when you crash into a wall. Also pretty fun to try out the tracks with things we don't have in sim racing like a caravan, truck with trailer or other stupid things like a race car with a heavy box or mattress on the roof.
BeamNG is the most realistic consumer-grade vehicle (not racing) simulator ever. No other sim has a chance of realistically modeling things like automatic transmissions, torque vectoring, hybrids, stability control, and configurable drive modes. Not to mention every single part has physical properties and deformation...
I thought he was referencing Simon from the Inbetweeners for a minute. You know, where he's with Tara and "it" won't work so he slaps it about and starts shouting "why won't you work?!" at it.
My first ever Jimmy Video was an iRacing formula Renault video where he had a Hello Kitty livery and I watched it on Empty Box’s recommendation. Jimmy’s channel was TINY. I think I deserve some hipster points
i feel like he must know about it by now. if you mean the ac laser scan version, that is. i wonder if he's hesitant to do a video on it cus its ripped content.
Love the use of a song from the game ‘1nsane’! I used to love that game when I was younger. Played hours upon hours of it. What a massive nostalgia hit when I heard that!
Jimmer, check out the Cave map mod. It's unique. It's similar to the leap of death and has a crazy descent to the pits of hell, followed by an insane climb back out. Perfect mix of fun and frustration.
20:16 I was waiting for the door to finally get ripped off somewhere during all this, but no, it actually bashed it back in shape. Loved how he brought the door back for the last bit
Anyone here knows the old movie called Sorcerer? Where a group of men transport boxes of dynamite through a jungle in two trucks, but they have to be super careful not to blow up? That would be a great BeamNG scenario.
It's incredible to see how much has changed in a few years Jimmer, First when I watched your videos you were in the shed. Now you have your own house, Your dream car and have got to race on a real life track. It's honestly insane man, Much love Jimmer. Keep being incredible and pls no punterino.
I keep fingers crossed for BeamNG and its physics updates, because I see potential in making this the most hardcore and accurate rally sim; something that intense, that you will be scared to play it.

It'd be interesting to watch Jimmy go to an off road driving course and learn how to drive off road and see how or if it affects his driving in challenges like this video. This map doesn't have really any challenging terrain for the Roamer Jimmy used and having done this myself, it's quite easy to get to the top without overheating or damaging anything more than the mirrors and running boards. I understand the whole slow as possible, fast as necessary mindset isn't very exciting for videos though but I'm also one of those people internally screaming "use low range" 😂

Jimmer, you should mention that you have to install that map manually and use the latest version for it to work. @8:45 Oh no, Jimmer, you need maximum momentum at this point, that means no pussyfooting arround before the peak of this incline. You can make it without flooring it but that requires a super-light and sufficiently powerful vehicle. @21:06 You can beat this map in minutes if you start with a plane from the bottom. :D

Wasn't around back in the GripTV days, but would be fun to see Jimmer and Malone do something together again, even just a one off. Their back and forth in the PESC series e.g. at Nords was hilarious
