I've just been recommended Len's Island by the dear Lord and Savior, Steam Algorithm. At first I was immediately sold already, but then I looked up who the dev is and BAM! I found your channel.The very first time I heard your Aussie accent I know this game is going to be LEGIT. Thank you so much for developing games like this man. I long for real good survival game with procedurally generated content and I think this game will be it :) Love your stuff man!!!

My first thoughts when I played this game were 3 things:
First, This game would be great to play with friends. I am so glad you have plans for multiplayer in the works.
Second, The camera needs to rotate, it just felt natural to move the camera in this game. Again, it's awesome that it's being added.
Third, This game needs a bow and arrow weapon. It seemed to make sense. Any plans for a bow and arrow weapons?

With all the early access games that are just thrown onto steam and then left abandoned or get stuck in years and years of EA it's really interesting and refreshing to see and get to be part of the development of lens island. Thanks for listening to the community!
Now, I really would love a better controller support without the need of a cursor or mouse. Also, ranged weapons like bows, slingshots, etc. would be handy for bigger bosses. The cherry on top would be different types of ammonition. Also last but not least, performance. The game struggels on low end hardware. I tried to run it on an older computer with an integrated intel graphics card (I know they are not powerful) and it simply refused to run. More graphical settings would be handy in a case like this.
All in all, thank you, keep it coming, and I'm exited for all future updates!
I'm so excited to come back to Len's Island. The lack of camera controls while building and exploring just constantly felt like a limitation in such a beautiful game.
Man, this game deserve so much more recognition, it is exactly what I was looking for. I tried dozens of games looking specifically for everything that Len's have. I guess you could say we were looking for the same game, I just didn't have the knowledge or the ambition to make my own. Glad you did!!
I just got your game 2 weeks ago I have poured in about 30 hours. And am loving it so far. Having the spear was an awsome idea and the glaive. So unique and refreshing. I've always wanted to see those weapons in game. I've been having a blast trying to collect the different achievements. I haven't even got to the resource outposts yet. But can't wait to see where it goes from here. Awsome job, Len.
I've always loved how hands-on you guys are with your game's player base, and how you take all the feedback to heart. I can't WAIT for the orbital camera, I def used the screenshot mode to see around me all the time and it was a major pain. Also soooo excited for multiplayer!!
Great video, just purchased the game myself and played until 3am on a work day 😅 shows how much fun im having. Moderately challenging and super cozy. The only issue i had was the camera zoom which will be addressed

You can take inspiration from the new Stardew Valley update. It's also a game that I never tire of playing because it has thousands and millions of objects that can be combined to make hundreds of recipes and various upgrades. The success of your game also depends on it...Make more and more recipes for adventures and evolution upgrades as well as various challenges for the character to be more and more successful. You can also launch Speed Runs challenges.

I bought the game a few days ago, it's great. I can hardly wait for the new content. Anyway, everywhere on Lan's I Land, you find such broken buildings, bridges, and towers, which gave me an idea for a challenge. Rebuild challenge. You're not allowed to build your own complete building, but you have to repair every house, tower, and bridge you find as much as possible, using only the material that the building has. So if you find remnants of a stone house, the reconstruction must also be made of stone. Etc. Of course, all tools must also be improved to be able to dismantle everything. A house is considered restored when it's 'inhabitable.' So, closed exterior walls with doors and windows, roof, furnishings like beds, chairs, decoration. The corresponding templates for furniture must, of course, be found while exploring the world and its islands and bought from traders. A bridge is considered restored when it connects, for example, islands, rivers, or lakes, has terrain, and when lamps illuminate the way across the bridge. A tower must have completely closed walls, with the exception of only the top floor, which can also be enclosed with half-walls or similar. Even in the large cave systems, you find remnants of buildings, which must also be repaired. Large ruins here are an exception; you can build something over them, but it's not necessary. The idea is not fully developed yet, but I think I'll give it a try. Maybe I'll come up with more things for a challenge.

I just got this game and it definitely is a chill survival game as of righ now mind you I'm still figuring out most of the mechanics. However, I definitely enjoy the pace of it...Keep up the great work

this is DEFINITELY not a cozy game, with all the survival stuffs and all. not really my area of expertise. but Len's is my son's name and that's why i bought this game without thinking back then LOL but now after i saw your videos on developing the game, i am intrigued to try out the game! especially when you add an in-depth farming system. now THAT is my area of expertise 😍🥰 so, thank you for that. i am waiting the farming update so eagerly now and waiting for the right moment to start making a content out of this beautiful game!
these idea suddenly popped up in my mind when i see your developing-game videos :
1. for community point of view, if i could just play this game with my friends doing some unimportant things just for winding up in the afternoon.. what stuffs would i need?
2. could i marry my friend in the game and having family? not opting out the possibility for protecting our babies from danger..
3. how many pet varieties are there? can i have eagle that could help me battle the monster in dungeon? LOL, just saying..
4. do we have seasons? with the possibility of nature could kill (sunshine stings!)
5. pleaseeeee, please no copyright musics for us content creator..? pretty please?!

How about a dive mode? I know that would change everything, but maybe for the far far future, that you kann swim not just on top of the water, but dive into the ocean.
To take a passion project and in essence give it to your fans; so that it's no longer the game you wanted but delivering the game is incredible and incredibly hard.
I've never seen it in that light before or heard it put that way. In essence you're no longer working for yourself but for your fans and that takes the ability to let
go and a whole lot of humility. Thanks for the great game! And thank you so much for the camera pan in the caves especially!

Congratulations on where you have reached. I have bought your game when it came out and was following you midway through development. I'm glad you are adding quest, since I played, I enjoyed the adventure of discovering islands but expected more movement.
Recommendation:
1. Mini map on the side.
2. Quests
3. Make the NPC (Named after the Devs) to have a Background story with the quests.

Haven't played the game yet. The only thing that comes out of my mind now for feedback is that I would like the camera to have a super zoom option. I just like to zoom a lot sometimes. Your games really look amazing. I think it will be the next game I will buy. Also, I hope there is good support for older saves. If for example I have a save from a previous update, I want it to work well in the future.
I feel like the sky is the limit for this game, it seems like it has such a great foundation. I can't waaaaiiiiit for release. I hope we get some expansions in the future as well.

Thx for the video. LI has been on my wishlist for a very long time. I play on Steam Deck in handheld mode so players like me really need full controller support without the use of a trackpad. Is that in the game, or coming? Also, are there different difficulty options, not just easy/normal/hard but the ability to adjust every aspect of the game? i.e. multipliers for NPC dam, multiplies for player damage, speed up/slow down time (if time is a thing), reduce thirst/hunger, etc. Many players like me enjoy a cozy survival experience with no death penalty so that is what I hope LI offers.
Love this game! Please add more cooking recipes as this game is about eating all day and night lol. More love to fishing please. Examples would be to be able to buy or upgrade the fishing rod that will give you a bigger chance to catch a type of fish. A rod that makes it easier to catch the fish. Also I would like to see an expansion on farming. Not just more fruits like apples or peaches. But animals I can feed like cows for milk, chickens for eggs, sheep for wool. And that would help expand food recipes. Also I would like the option to be able to make them into special recipes if I wish to eat the farm animals. Please allow us to unlock merchant in town. He or she will have random requests for food or materials and when given what was asked you will get paid in gold coins or the option for rare resources or materials, etc. Awesome game thanks!!

Can't wait till the MP update to play this game with my wife. I haven't tried the outpost update yet. Will there be cool defense systems like spike traps,some time of turrets or NPC guards to help with hordes?

If I farm when I am full of that crop it will disappear. I think the windmill and water pump should be upgradeable to support more water towers to.

Nice game! . requests? ... compass being able to make notes on the map, not just those icons and wider range of difficulty .. I've just found clear blue monsters yesterday, so much tougher, nice.. it was guetting too easy killing with 1 blow. - it feels strange to chop the trees to collect fruit and put new seed in. maybe do them like an interaction object, and.... green fruit/ripe fruit/rotten fruit can have different prices- flowers should go down in price, maybe decay, you could refine and make essence, distill and make perfumes,...
I think if I would start to make games, many people would not like them .... I would listen to the community, but I would have concepts how my games should be and I would not change them.
I have played in my life over 500 games and I started to dislike many existing features in games on the other hand I started to miss many features in most of the existing games.
For example, why should I have in a RPG (or MMO) things like leveling, skilltrees, crafting, stronger weapons, better armors, stronger enemies, too much on the UI, fast traveling, guildes, too many arrows (I think they should be limited to not more than 20 and extremly rare), no falldamage, no friendly fire, too much gold, too many healing potions, buffs, raids, be mandatory to play in parties, no punishment to stand next to important NPCs (no one should ever come closer than 10 meters to an important person like a king with being killed by the guards), mounts.
Why should I produce games that already exits, I want to make games that feels new and different ... even controversal with too much gore, adult content, profanity and punishment for players who didn't play carefully.
