Good video for all leather crafters wanting to learn some things about saddle making. That braid ain't easy if you ain't got someone to show you how to do it. David explained very good. I don't know or think the name is important, but I was told as a youngster many moons ago that it was a double diamond braid. So choose the braid name you want to call it. Just learn it the correct way & go for it.
@@DavidMillsSaddlery Oh, I ain't no youngster. I am sure I am older than you probably are. At least 15 to 20 years or so. Maybe more. Who knows, who cares, LOL. I was just hoping people were paying attention to what you were showing them.
Depends on how wide the Latigo lace you use, and whether or not you can skive the edges down… I realize that’s not a very good answer… I think here they were about 1/4” Practice on some scrap pieces…

Thank you
Pretty cool. Wondered how that was done.
Muy bueno saludos👍👍👍
Very nice work, but I think you need to reposition your camera 👍
Yes, one of these days, I’ll hire a camera operator lol
Would this braid be good for holding a bag together?
I don’t see why not… if you “butt” your seams together!
@@DavidMillsSaddlery thank you for the response and help!
What size holes do you punch for this braid?
