- Let's paint a monochromatic miniature. If you're having problem choosing colors when painting miniature, try using just one. In this video we're going to take a deep dive in the various shades and way you can highlight and shade red.

This is such a good idea. A real antidote to overusing complimentary colours - or at least my overusing complimentary colours. I'll definitely be "borrowing" from this in future :)

I was always obsessed with painting a Warhammer 40k Tyranid army (well, Kill Team nowadays) in the same style as the old codex art. That is... black and white, since the old codexes were painted in black and white, not color like currently. Mixing blacks and whites + matte / satin / gloss would allow for various contrasts - matte bone, satin skin, glossy biotech bits, for example. ... Maybe a tiny tint of color for weapons and the like to make them stand out, but almost nothing but black / grey / white. Might have to give that another try.
These are great vids, you should do a full video list of painting monochromatic colors. You did it with white and black may as well do the others.

Do you have more red based videos? :) could we do a bright saim hann kinda red with highlighting and shading? A lot of the violet red has been covered by other youtubers but I'll accept that too :)
Been having trouble getting red highlighted right JUST because of the reasons you said with pink and orange. Thanks! I do have a question, though... why do you use a ceramic tile (?) for your paints?

Which primer do you use? I started with painted yesterday ;-) and use Army primer but it is not mate like yours
