Tabs and Playbacks and lots of Infos are here:www.bonedo.de/...
audio and video: Haiko Heinz
Some others: Pipeline, Walk Don't Run, Penetration, Baja, Point Panic, Mister Moto, Let There Be Drums, Stick Shift, Lonely Sea.
Penetration and Sticky shift sounds like from one song?
Don’t forget the Ghostriders in the sky version of Dickedy Dale!
Bunches and bunches of California Sound.
All the way to Wall of Voodoo.
And people not from the State, sometimes struggle to replicate.
Some of the best were Telstar from Belgium, I believe. There were some great tunes by the Shadows and others in the UK.
Don't forget Diamond Head by the Ventures
There be drums
No one can play Mirsirlou like the king of the surf guitar
dick guitar
Dick dale
Laramie Dean is the closest you’ll get. Dick dale absolutely loved him taught him so much
You left out the greatest riff of them all,,, Pipeline
I'll check that out, just found out riffs were a thing lol
Nah. "Walk, Don't Run" is at least as good as "Pipeline," and came out way before.
sheikh mansur What? You found out „riffs were a thing“?
Before this video you thought guitar playing is just random notes without context?
Voyd boy NO! Walk don’t run is the best! 💥
All great chops Guys...no arguing!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻Beer's on the House! 🤜🤛
sound tracks from quentin tarantino movies
Junk Haven exactly what I thought
Junk Haven or Spongebob :D
Who)?
Chandle r the guy who made kill bill, pulp fiction, Django unchained, and the hateful eight
Forgot once upon a time in Hollywood
Great choice of riffs! I love a bit of surf music soaked in reverb.
I always thought of apache as a western song
Surf rock and western music overlap a lot
I mean, it's called Apache
It's the Southwestern tome that sets it at either genre....a great song!
It could work as a Western Surf song
Apache was written by a Londoner, Jerry Lordan. We don't get too much surf riding on the River Thames!
Captain Howdy: I did say LONDON!
It was written for the Shadows and covered by The Ventures, a rare thing.
Awesome selection here ! Gonna try a 63 FRV1 Fender pedal for these bad boys.
of all the people I see in the comments I happen to see mr BakerxDerek lol
bakerXderek n
Yo derek, nice to see you here.
these all would fit into spongebob
That's gotta be what sparked my love for surf rock
I remember the wipeout song from a spongbob game on ps2
- XXXUchihacion - isn't it light camera pants?
Spongebob featured several surf instrumentals e.g. ua-cam.com/video/deIvSv1CCrA/v-deo.html
That’s what she said
Super! You've got to love Stevie Ray Vaughn's and Dick Dale's treatment of Pipeline in 1986's Back to the Beach! Thanks for these :)
That tone is amazing
Reverb
Too distorted for me
Carmine Martino its reverb not distortion
@@carminemartino1197 You need that in surf rock
Miserilou is amazing because its all played on one string
2 strings changes between top and bottom E.
It all uses the double harmonic scale which doesn't really lend itself to chords very well.
I loved your "Rumble" cover!
I love this. I learned Rebel Rouser, Rumble and Apache prior to watching this!
Talk whatever you want but misirlou is the best surf rock riff, period

I never heard of "Drums." Thanks. I'll have to look that one up!
This guitar player is incredible! Rock solid!
I love how half of these are in Pulp Fiction
1 one of them is. Not half.
@@apolloptx Nope, atleast to my knowledge Rumble and Misirlou are in PF
Dude I've been searching for Miserilou for a long time. Thanks a lot!
I'm not sure that all of these count as surf rock. They're 60s instrumental rock, but not all of that was surf.
Exactly. Link Wray's "Rumble" is definitely not surf. Neither is "Rebel Rouser".
Piotr B yeah they’re more rockabilly/rock and roll
Neither is the James Bond theme.
Theyre all riffs with the surf reverb sound so i guess thats all he looked for
@@dear_dennis This song isn't surf, but the riff is the most "surfy" of the intros in the comments.
"Walk dont run" is the ultimate surf song.
Homesick for So Cal.
60s & 70s was paradise there

Surf Rider? Nicely done!
Great I got a sound and techniques to work on and shoot for with your demo and sound .....set up is what?.. 2 single wound coils, heavy reverb, thicker strings 12 or 13s ... I have a mossrite roller bridge and Bigsby tremolo ..practice vibrato picking learn byzatyne scales and bought my Dick Dale and my Ventures tabbed music book...Am i missing anything? Thanks good lesson demo.
Funny cause I have been a fan of Metal all my life and never made this connection before but yeah, I am sure that Metal has its roots in Surf Rock. its plane to see.

I like how these sound western
James bond title guitar is derived from indian tune...
Would you mind sharing which Indian tune?
How many people know that the james bond theme song composed by monty Norman was actually first meant for a classical Indian music set for a book called "the house for mr. Biswas" by V.S Naipur.
Apache was really cool
I really enjoyed that!
Great playing!
Hi, what is that strap you put up by the nut? It ha a purpose? Nice playing
What is the guitar you use plz ?
Great sound...!
great video, do you know where it is possible to find some backing for example 7 ( drums ) ?
Basically if Tarantino was a guitarist... Hey I see you swimming in reverb, I dig the tone, is that spring, plate or hall?
Living la vida loca & Asereje have good surfer guitar riffs
Great session and tone!!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I like this video! 👍 I'm totally gonna learn these now lol
The song church key has the coolest riff man
Surf music is more western than beach vibe
Example 6: Electric De Chocobo
How to get the tone starting from example 4?
Demolición By Los saicos de peru, entra como surf rock
Mr Moto done by Ronquillo
Whats the last one? Can’t find it
Who’s the performer of drums?
david sun shut up
123nonce hhhh I don’t really mean it
I have never heard of "Drums" and I own about 500 surf music albums.
@@davidschecter5247 A single word make you put out your inventory. I admire.
Nice
Nice selection! Thank you for the six tabs -- Any tab for Rebel Rouser?
brianstorm 🔥
Bruuuuuhhhh I searched “surfer song with guitar riff in beginning” trying to find Miserilou and this was The first vid I clicked
3 got me like SPREAD EAGLE CROSS THE BLOCK
Rick de Jong YES LMFAO
I would have thought Bombora should have got a run.....after all the Atlantics were probably one of the first true surf rock bands of that era
Surf Rider by The Lively Ones is the best
*Someone plays “Rumble”*
Me an intellectual: I FUKKKKKKKKK THE MUSC WITH MA SERPENTTT TOUNGEE!!!!!
very nice mate
Please, can you tell me the model of that guitar? I love the tone.
ibanez talman
What's the brand of this guitar?
Awesome
Who is artist of number 7 in your video.
Les mustangs I think
how is Runble/Rebel Rouser surf?
is rumble really a surf song tho?
Thank you.
No pipeline dude?
Good selection but how could Pipeline not be on the list?
No surf rider? My favourite one!
The first one is what sounds in my head when I am riding a wave... LOL
who does that last song? "drums"?
They´re called "les Mustangs", a french backing band
What is the pickup that you used?
What gear will I need to achieve the surf sound?
Chas lots and lots of spring reverb
cok güzel canim
None of them sounded like the record, so now I'm confused, and I can't understand what the surf had to do with most of them.
I can't find FL studio sample for Surf Guitar
Una pregunta que efecto ocupaste en la cancion de James bond
@wlmrr muchas gracias , saludos 🤟🏻🤟🏻🎸🎸
Do you upload and license to APM Music?
