question-If iron sinks in water ,why does not the ships sink?
answer- because the ships are structures made up of iron and steel with large hollow space filled with air....air have least density and thus is makes the ship to float on water....the same phenomenon is observed in glaciers of ice floating on water!!

Mass means matter of an object
Mass is scalar quantity and it is constant and never be zero whereas weight is a vector quantity and it varies from place to place and it can be zero

According to the third law of Newton, moon does attract Earth .But according to the second law of Newton, acceleration is inversely proportional to the mass of the object. Moon have smaller mass as compared to earth. So we do not see Earth moving towards the moon.
