I have my moon in the 12th house and I can agree with all of this. It is VERY difficult for me to express myself emotionally sometimes, even though I feel so deeply. Sometimes I feel that if I say how I really feel it will get misinterpreted or it will be too much or too deep for people, or I simply will just over think how the situation will go. I isolate myself like it’s nobodies business. I’ve always been painfully shy and I hate it lol. My moon is in the 12th house but my mother and I haven't ever been close. Ive always felt that she was judging. I was close to my grandma, she was the one that took care of me. My mom wasnt in such a position to care for me growing up. She was very blindly in love with my abusive father. She is close with my younger sister though. Ive always seen my mom as someone I didn't particularly want to be like. She got angry very easily and aggressive to the point that I wonder if she has some form of bipolar disorder. In any case, even though we're not close I have no resentment towards her. Just thought Id share my experience with my mother with this placement(:
I relate to your post very deeply, although i was not raised by my grandmother me and my mother are not emotionally close at all she was never an emotional nurturer for me like she was for my older brother and i do resent her subconsciously for that but i dont hate her, i just am emotionally distant with people because she made me that way.

This is so true, i also had to take care of my mother, emotionally. She always came to me for advices as if i would be her mother. For a long time i couldn't say no to her, because i felt if i do, it would be something really bad, when i reject someone in need of my help. Had to build boundaries though... And I've always felt when i was with my mum, her vulnerability.. and how things effect her... this is why i couldn't hit back when she bursted out or hit me physically. It was strange for me, she's more important for me than myself? She was very abusive though, she has Cancer moon, and also in the 12th. And had gone through many serious issues in her life, i know that. But i broke the cycle, we must use the extra-sensitivity for good purpose, and we have to learn to build healthy boundaries, but inside, no matter how strong we make ourselves, we stay the same hypersensitive beings.
I always felt forgotten, put in the last place, and judged by my mother. my mother never respect my wishes and make me feel non useful, and no-hope about me.

I have moon in Sagittarius in the 12th house. Growing up, I was painfully shy to the point that I thought I was never going to become what I wanted to be because of how incapable I feel with expressing myself. I have Capricorn as my rising sign which can entail a lot of melancholic and structured expression when all I want to do is to let go. Thanks. It has taken many years to fully accept my Cancer Moon in the 12th house. Acceptance and humor has helped me grow. Have been told that my mother's spirit surrounds me.
In my childhood years, my Mother and I had a tumultous hostility with each other. She was indeed depressed, among other issues. I always refereed fights with my mother and father to keep peace and keep them together. I did resent her. Later in life, she developed cancer and our relationship changed, drastically. I was able to care for her and we told each other how much we loved other multiple times before she transitioned. The changes in both of us, were not explained with words. I was blessed to be with her, holding her hand after I gave her the ok to go. I now know this placement was pre planned and my south node being in virgo ( Her sun) and my sun, in Gemini ( Her north node). Lastly, my moon in 12th was her south node. I believe I was her mother in past life and we healed our karma.

My moon is in gemini in the 12th but it's conjunt Jupiter so it's a lot more expressive. However, Saturn is in the 12th too which restrains this expressiveness. The shyness was very apparent when I was younger. People would wonder if I could even talk lol. This video was very relatable.

I am brilliant at work as research consultant and my studies as an academic but I have difficulty expressing my emotions or just understanding what they are! As of late I notice that I communicate my feelings once am at a breaking point and from being barely communicative and sometimes and avoidant of my emotions especially toward people in close romantic relationships, I end up writing endless essays about my feelings and when in person I can barely conjure a word to say. This makes relationships difficult for me and so I choose to be single, I feel like it should be this hard to be understood so best I understand myself and be at peace with that.❤️💎 I have had two major romantic relationships but the one I desired the most was fraught with misunderstandings and miscommunication. At the end it all seemed exhausting and pointless.

I’m a super deep person but I don’t know how to express my self 😅. I have Virgo moon in the 12th house and my mom was a Virgo sun who always came to me for advice even when I was a very young child. She said I was her rock to keep her strong. She got sick though when I was around 8-9 and she had to have surgery and I remember being in the hospital frequently growing up to visit either her,my grandfather,my father,my friends mom etc Anyways years went by and my mom got cancer and passed away in 2013. Her and I had a close bond and I miss her a lot.but at the same time there were days where I felt suffocated and not able to express myself in the way that I wanted to due to knowing she would not like what I had to say and wouldn’t take it well. I will always love her though I just wish I could have expressed my self better instead of keeping it hidden to make more peace between us.I didn’t feel like a child when I was a kid, and the only escape I had was either reading or playing video games and I still do that today to get a break from everyone and everything,books and games are great to bring someone into another world for a while to disappear and recharge.
I have moon in 12 th house in natal and moon in 8 th house in D9 chart. I am pretty screwed right. 12th going into 8th as I get older. It has been a challenge but now that I am Middle Aged I have tried to conquer all these deep emotions to some extent. Very secretive, very sensitive if someone rejects me. Difficult relationship with mother - she was there but was very controlling and so I moved away far away to another country at age 25, I felt home in the new country which is what this placement brings- I have vivid dreams but try to block out the noise since it does not help me, so exhausting to mentally help others since I know the pain, I find it hard to mediate but I try, need a lot of alone time, sit alone and think or stare at trees flowers

I have my Moon and Pluto in 12th h in Sagittarius and this is true. No matter how much I try to explain or express my feelings with words, It comes out not as detailed and accurate (compared to how i describe them in my diary) so people just don't entirely understand it or take it seriously. It makes me question if my feelings are real or I'm just ovethinking my life? I often get tired and exhausted when I'm around people for too long and I need to "turn off" the world (quite literally, lying on bed alone in a room with lights off to clear up my energy and finally breathe). In my case, my mom has a really good intuition but I was the one(?) who tried to help her spiritually but she was unwilling. Felt the need to take care of her since she is in a abusive marriage but I really wanted to get away from home as soon as possible cuz I couldn't handle it all.(I have Aries Mars in 4th house)

A S I wouldn’t say detached. They are extremely sensitive even if the moon is in an aloof sign such as Aquarius. If anything they tend to withdraw because the pain of being misunderstood or rejected or overwhelmed by absorbing negativity can tax them. They have trouble expressing their feelings but they are not detached from them.

My little guy (17 months old) has his moon in his 12th house. I had a really tough postpartum healing period and didn't see him much; his father was the one around the most for his first month and 1/2 I couldn't really move around. I'm really into subconscious reprogramming/spirituality/astrology & my kids being connected with their emotions. My daughter & I have our moon in our 7th house. I hope I'm being a good mom to them it means a lot to me

Being vulnerable and expressing myself is painful for me, not only do I have my moon in the 12th house, my moon is in Scorpio which makes me extremely private. It’s a challenge.

The feeling of being different and isolation on my childhood ohhh like I am trapped in my room forever but if I got out I wanted to come back in isolation..... now that I am a grown woman;everything you said I’ve went through..... the moon rules my 8th house with Rahu and my Moon is in Scorpio in the 12th house.....I’m a Sag asc in Vedic astrology btw..... in western Im a Capricorn..... you are right about having Moon in a particular house and sign will have more impact on your inner personality not just on your sun or ascendant sign..... this is a proven fact bec I always felt deep no matter how hard I hide my eyes and mouth.😂

This is me. Moon in 12th in Libra.
My moon is in gemini in the 12th but it's conjunt Jupiter so it's a lot more expressive. However, Saturn is in the 12th too which restrains this expressiveness. The shyness was very apparent when I was younger. People would wonder if I could even talk lol. This video was very relatable.

I have my Moon in the 12th House in Aquarius. And a whole lot of planets in the 9th house. I am brilliant at work as research consultant and my studies as an academic but I have difficulty expressing my emotions or just understanding what they are! As of late I notice that I communicate my feelings once am at a breaking point and from being barely communicative and sometimes and avoidant of my emotions especially toward people in close romantic relationships, I end up writing endless essays about my feelings and when in person I can barely conjure a word to say.
This makes relationships difficult for me and so I choose to be single, I feel like it should be this hard to be understood so best I understand myself and be at peace with that.❤️💎 I have had two major romantic relationships but the one I desired the most was fraught with misunderstandings and miscommunication. At the end it all seemed exhausting and pointless.

I’m a super deep person but I don’t know how to express my self 😅. I have Virgo moon in the 12th house and my mom was a Virgo sun who always came to me for advice even when I was a very young child. She said I was her rock to keep her strong. She got sick though when I was around 8-9 and she had to have surgery and I remember being in the hospital frequently growing up to visit either her,my grandfather,my father,my friends mom etc Anyways years went by and my mom got cancer and passed away in 2013. Her and I had a close bond and I miss her a lot.but at the same time there were days where I felt suffocated and not able to express myself in the way that I wanted to due to knowing she would not like what I had to say and wouldn’t take it well. I will always love her though I just wish I could have expressed my self better instead of keeping it hidden to make more peace between us.I didn’t feel like a child when I was a kid, and the only escape I had was either reading or playing video games and I still do that today to get a break from everyone and everything,books and games are great to bring someone into another world for a while to disappear and recharge.
I have moon in 12 th house in natal and moon in 8 th house in D9 chart. I am pretty screwed right. 12th going into 8th as I get older. It has been a challenge but now that I am Middle Aged I have tried to conquer all these deep emotions to some extent. Very secretive, very sensitive if someone rejects me. Difficult relationship with mother - she was there but was very controlling and so I moved away far away to another country at age 25, I felt home in the new country which is what this placement brings- I have vivid dreams but try to block out the noise since it does not help me, so exhausting to mentally help others since I know the pain, I find it hard to mediate but I try, need a lot of alone time, sit alone and think or stare at trees flowers

I pray my daughter never have to take care of me.. I'm learning to strengthen her discernment in letting people take advantage of her. I teach her to be her best because it's in Leo in the 12th house. What else do you suggest I take her to gymnastics and dance. She's a Gemini ☀ in the 10th. Leo 🌙 in the 12 and Virgo AC in the 1rst. I have my Moon and Pluto in 12th h in Sagittarius and this is true. No matter how much I try to explain or express my feelings with words, It comes out not as detailed and accurate (compared to how i describe them in my diary) so people just don't entirely understand it or take it seriously. It makes me question if my feelings are real or I'm just ovethinking my life? I often get tired and exhausted when I'm around people for too long and I need to "turn off" the world (quite literally, lying on bed alone in a room with lights off to clear up my energy and finally breathe). In my case, my mom has a really good intuition but I was the one(?) who tried to help her spiritually but she was unwilling. Felt the need to take care of her since she is in a abusive marriage but I really wanted to get away from home as soon as possible cuz I couldn't handle it all.(I have Aries Mars in 4th house)

My moon in Capricorn is in the 11th and 12th house. I recently did a birth chart on Astrolada's website. It was an ancient system used for Western or Tropical astrology. It said that my moon was in the 12th. The part about the mother was spot on. I was born on July 26, 1988 at 9:24 p.m. in Washington, D.C. Could you tell me where its placed? A S I wouldn’t say detached. They are extremely sensitive even if the moon is in an aloof sign such as Aquarius. If anything they tend to withdraw because the pain of being misunderstood or rejected or overwhelmed by absorbing negativity can tax them. They have trouble expressing their feelings but they are not detached from them.
