      'British English' doesn't exist, only English. 'Britain', England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales has four different languages amongst those countries. Hence why there is only English of England. Google/the US made up British English. The source is English, and only failed attempts need a modifier word prior to differentiate their 'English'.

    This video fit like a glove to me! I had Googled it some days ago and I didn't find anything about this subject. And this morning when I open my UA-cam app I see this video at my face as recommended. I don't know if I am happy to understand that Google is watching every single step that I do on internet or I freak out.
    Anyway, thanks for the video. I love it.

    • @SpeakBritishEnglishTV
      @SpeakBritishEnglishTV  5 років тому +3

      Yes, you can pronounce them the same way even when they are next to each other. However, 'are' can also be pronounced two ways. When it is unstressed it is pronounced ə (like 'a'). So in your example we might say wɒ.tə.(r)ɑː. (We can use the consonant sound /r/ to connect the two words.) You should try my course: www.speakbritishenglish.academy
