Interesting! I heard Netflix animation was in a weird place, just listening to the ole' rumor mill.
18:05 it's really hard to capture that kind of color, it's one thing to make a really dark scene with a strong light that draws attention to something in particular, you just give full color to what the light touches and leave the rest in different shades of blue.
but to make a scene that's suppose to be fully dark and yet yellow looks yellow, and green looks green, now that's tricky! or he was just using a photo reference.
