Dear Intervals, Please keep doing what you are doing. Keep doing what makes you happy. Keep making amazing music, with vocals, that continues to inspire regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. Signed, A Fan.
There isn't "too much screaming in metal". You just dislike unclean vocals personally. Why not just appreciate them both instead of bashing on one or the other? You should of just stopped typing after the first line.
I mean distortion has a pont. there is ALOT of screaming in metal to the point where in most bands, it loses feeling. I mostly listen to only metal (with screaming) and I would mind if more bands started doing this style of metal.
I get what you mean, Screaming in metal is nice and all I listen to it every day, but there's only so much originality to it and it just get's a bit repetitive band after band
This album is almost at my #1 of all time. I don't have any tattoos, but I am considering getting one with your lyrics from A Voice Within. I am saddened that the band from this album has broken up, but I am so grateful you made this album.
Mark Jefferson I absolutely love this album. People like to complain about Semesky and it’s usually purely from a musical perspective, but one thing I think people sadly don’t even think about or remark upon is that the lyrics in this album are incredible, beautiful, and tragic. This album throws constant truth bombs about a future that by the day seems less and less improbable. It’s like hearing classic novels like 1984 and Brave New World be reincarnated into a beautiful work of progressive rock. Semesky absolutely killed it with this album and it’ll always be one of my favorite albums of all time.
I think the vocals really emphasize the, what I call, "timeless" pieces of music. Where you just get cought in it and listen to it without thinking of anything else. Great job Intervals!
As a guitar player, I sometimes over-focus on the guitar elements of metal like this, but Anup Sastry just kills it. Dude just craps talent. It takes a unique talent to accent Aaron's riffs so articulately and diversely. Keep it up, gentlemen.
That second half after the guitar solo is without a doubt perfection incarnate. *****, continue with what you're doing because this album is a masterpiece!
YESSSSS. I never pay attention to UA-cam notifications on my phone, but I saw 'Intervals' and freaked. This is seriously going to be my all time favorite album!
it's so hard for an 8-minute song to captivate thoroughly. Intervals has a very straightforward, standardly melodic sound, which I absolutely adore, and yet they can still pull off a song this long without deviating from that rock solid identity. These guys are serious and they're here to stay. Thank god.
For me, this song's intro packs so much power and confidence into those distorted, slowly louder and louder guitar roars. Such a short lil thing, but my favorite musical moment of the whole album right now. But then again, the rest of it is also just so so good
looking forward to this album, excited for my preorder. I just hope they offer an instrumental cd with the regular one like TessacT did with altered state
Don't if it's just me being crazy, but I got a serious In the Hall of the Mountain King vibe at the end, about 7:30. If you've heard the song, listen again and remember the plucked violins. If ya'll meant to evoke that +∞ thumbs, and if not it was still awesome. Absolutely phenomenal song throughout, and I loved that bit at the end. It's nice to hear cleans over metal, adds some vocal variety to the genre!
Some folks thought that vocals will ruin the idea of Intervals style. In my opinion the style remains and this so fckin awesome and I can't understand how music can even be this good, only explanation is that this is something above music.
Stupid question: Can someone please tell me what instrument is used for the last part of the song aside from violin (the thing that sounds like clockwork or some shit like that)?
Vocals remind me of Saliva or some other main stream rockstar band (Sorry I'm so far underground for music knowledge LOL). Just started listening to this album today. Fucking amazing.
In my email it says they are shipping the pre-sales on the 25th February, so they should already be dispatching your order. If it's international it's gonna take a while though obviously.
you guys epitomize everything i love about metal and all of you know each other. i hope Aaron and Mike can make an album like this again in my life time.
Too many butthurt fans in the comment section.Stop crying and move on. Everything is great including the vocals,Mike is the perfect vocalist for this band. Can't wait for the album!
Butthurt fans will always be butthurt, trust me. Look at any Dream Theater youtube vid from this year or last and they are still bitching about Portnoy leaving to drum for A7X. It was nearly four damn years ago. They still won't let it go, even after DT replaced him with a far better drummer.
It's about the eternal processe of life. The divine rythm. Fragments of truth about how life always was, is and will be. It has many core principles from buddism, beautifully expressed.
Dear Intervals,
Please keep doing what you are doing. Keep doing what makes you happy. Keep making amazing music, with vocals, that continues to inspire regardless of what anyone else says or thinks.
Signed,
A Fan.
It's still amazing and the new stuff is as well
I wish I could hear from 3:47 till the end on repeat... forever. It's fantastic
Nothing's stopping you ;)
I couldn't be more agree, love that middle, it's like God
the last like 4 minutes of this song is classic and timeless...bands like these need bigger followings like seriously people
The vocals are amazing.
I think you guys found a very fitting singer.
I also like the fact there is no screaming. There is too much screaming in metal already.

24Shezza I never said I didn't like screaming.

***** ambi djent bro , i like me a nice mix. tesseract and there army of ever changing vocalists have always pulled it off mean
I get what you mean, Screaming in metal is nice and all I listen to it every day, but there's only so much originality to it and it just get's a bit repetitive band after band
The second half is unbelievably rad; unlike anything else you guys have done before. I love it!
This album is almost at my #1 of all time. I don't have any tattoos, but I am considering getting one with your lyrics from A Voice Within. I am saddened that the band from this album has broken up, but I am so grateful you made this album.

Mark Jefferson Yes I know this was 4 years ago but this album still deserves praise
Just found intervals...This whole album is just amazing!!! I can't stop listening to them!!!
Are you still listening?
This is sick :D
Holy crap it's the amazing Sithu Aye!!!
YESSS, Plini's awesome too!
Maestro Aye!!!
C2I is speaking! Everyone bow your fucking heads and show some respect! Love you Sithu Aye!
We didn't say any one is more important than the other ._.
I think everyone's already talked enough about this album having a singer, but... I think Mike Semesky was INCREDIBLE!
Because he was incredible. This is Intervals' best album. It was the most layered and Semesky added a whole new level of feeling into the music.
I think the vocals really emphasize the, what I call, "timeless" pieces of music. Where you just get cought in it and listen to it without thinking of anything else. Great job Intervals!

The Dear Hunter anyone?? 3:50 onward reminds me of them a ton and I absolutely love it!! Favorite song so far that has been released from this album!
This came out a day after my bday in my senior year. I still religiously listen to Intervals to this day
That second half after the guitar solo is without a doubt perfection incarnate. *****, continue with what you're doing because this album is a masterpiece!
YESSSSS. I never pay attention to UA-cam notifications on my phone, but I saw 'Intervals' and freaked. This is seriously going to be my all time favorite album!
THANK YOU UTORAK FOR DIRECTING ME HERE
Holy crap, good shit guys! Anup absolutely nailed this one

ANUP KILLS EVERYONE! Every song, I mean. Yeah.

3:26 The Rhythm guitars with that beautiful solo i cant!!!!
For me, this song's intro packs so much power and confidence into those distorted, slowly louder and louder guitar roars. Such a short lil thing, but my favorite musical moment of the whole album right now. But then again, the rest of it is also just so so good
This is amazing!
a most beautiful song about spiritual enlightenment?

jesus christ the production is flawless
ALL of these songs are fantastic! Finally an album I am 100% glad I pre-ordered.
One of my favorite songs!
looking forward to this album, excited for my preorder. I just hope they offer an instrumental cd with the regular one like TessacT did with altered state
This is awesome. We need more musicians like this group.
You guys are killing me here. I can't handle the hype.
I wasn't so keen on the vocals at first, but it grows on ya :))
That ending is pretty epic!
wow, i was kind of iffy that you guys got a vocalist, but after this, it's a very welcome change.
Don't if it's just me being crazy, but I got a serious In the Hall of the Mountain King vibe at the end, about 7:30. If you've heard the song, listen again and remember the plucked violins. Beautiful. Feels a lot like Periphery and The Human Abstract, but with quite a bit of its own unique flavor.
Dat tone, oh I mean dat production, actually dat masterpiece of an album, omg
my favorite song on the album! That chorus is great
Please, do a instrumental version of the entire LP and other with voice, like Mandroid Echostar did
Great stuff, easily my favourite song you guys have done.
Best song so far. Can't wait to hear the album as a whole
mad big boy riffs in here
Thought it might be a bit odd with Intervals getting a singer, but fuck this works so much
Intervals, you never disappoint me
Just one word to describe this.... PERFECT
Some folks thought that vocals will ruin the idea of Intervals style. In my opinion the style remains and this so fckin awesome and I can't understand how music can even be this good, only explanation is that this is something above music.
nice touch from 3:44, definitely nice touch!
Great, plenty of nice melodies! Although, it would be wise to release both an instrumental and vocal version of this album. Best of both worlds!
Can't wait for my pre-ordered bundle!
Seriously guys! You rulz!!

Stupid question: Can someone please tell me what instrument is used for the last part of the song aside from violin (the thing that sounds like clockwork or some shit like that)?
didnt know what to expect when i clicked on the link. im glad i did tho. Reminds me of periphery. very nice indeed.
Vocals remind me of Saliva or some other main stream rockstar band (Sorry I'm so far underground for music knowledge LOL). Just started listening to this album today. Fucking amazing.
I did not expect that breakdown at all!
So stoked!
Can't wait for this album!!!
Perfect
Holy shit! When will my pre-order get here!? Love it.
***** That doesn't mean anything, usually they ship pre-orders early. The description shows when the album actually releases.
***** He's asking when his pre-order will actually arrive on his doorstep, not when the album released.
In my email it says they are shipping the pre-sales on the 25th February, so they should already be dispatching your order. If it's international it's gonna take a while though obviously.

FrostBladeX: thats pizzicato violin - pizzicato is a technique of plucking the strings rather than bowing them (google some more examples...)
Gooooooood..
Too many butthurt fans in the comment section.Stop crying and move on.

Anyone know what this song is about? It has interesting lyrics.
It's about the eternal processe of life. The divine rythm. Fragments of truth about how life always was, is and will be. It has many core principles from buddism, beautifully expressed.
