- Pretty good run all around with some really major time losses to some dumb stuff. I somehow failed basement catch 4 times and lost 45 seconds to that, then I got a 19 cycle Specter on the very next level losing another 1:10. Besides those two things, there weren't many other huge mistakes. Fairly decent time all around, but it could still go much lower.
Current Goals:
Any% 44:39
All Monkeys 1:27:59 (maybe 1:26:59)
100% 1:51:59 (maybe 1:50:59 or lower depending on how hard it is) - Ігри

man this one of the best game ever made. I loved it. I think I lost the original game somewhere. I wonder how, it was my favorite game as a kid. I was so sad I missed just one monkey ( in specter land). Good job for the WR.

Yeah. The funny thing is, I didn't even know you're supposed to go up there until my brother showed me. I saw where it is on the map, so I thought that's just how the finish looks in the second Buzz Attack.

There's something just so alluring about seeing speedrun done in the releases you played growing up. The Japanese TASes are serviceable, but I never was a fan of Spike's voice in that game. I am really liking just seeing the extent of when you death warp.
Hahaha I feel the same way! That’s why I originally started running this game in the first place. And yeah, this category has some nice death warps :p

I think there's suppose to be a skullfence right after fall at 49:47? It seems to be not exist sometimes for some reason.
Tambero There is a max to how many of those gates can spawn in each area at a time, and there are more spawn points than the cap. So each time you go through the coaster the combination of gates that spawn will be different even though there will always be the same amount of them :D
Forgot there was a double jump for some reason, I remember more being a kid getting hella frustrated at not being able to make jumps at stuff you're obviously meant to come back to later. Wish I knew that slingshot glitch back then lol
These monykeys with rocket is hard to get ..so fast and smart to.

Ya know, the best way I can describe this kind of speed running is like cheating on a 200m sprint. Instead of running along the track (like you're supposed to) as fast as you can, you cut across the middle of the field straight to the finish line.
Any particular reason you don't do no IJ runs? Just prefer the movement of IJ to using the propeller?
I have actually done all of the no IJ categories in the past. They aren't my favorite since they are sort of a contrived method of play (not that shooting around the map with the slingshot isn't a bit ridiculous). I prefer to use anything available in the game to get the job done as quickly as possible :D

@@starviiin IJ stands for infinite jump. It's the trick we use to gain height with the slingshot. There is a section of categories that don't use this trick called noIJ

Is this on emulator? How does the speed run timer know where you are in the game?
Nope this is played on a PlayStation 2 and recorded with a capture card. I am also running the splits manually, so they don't have to know where I am :D

So.. amulets, anything they grant? Other than percentage? I remember finally unlocking the bonus Specter battle I mean forever after holding save missing the lone monkey around Ape Escape 1's launch and baffled jus gets generic tune the Galaxy music
