Hi DIY Jim! This was awesome and soooo helpful. We did two of our units. It was simple as you showed! One unit went together beautifully, but the second one fit together, but has a rattle now... 😱 If we push the top left corner in, the rattle stops. We don't see anything inside where the tube tumbles. The cover and drip pan are in the clips and the set screw is on... The rubber is put in correctly and all the screws are tight. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Great video - you have an easy touch (I tend to break things). I paid $600 years ago to clean a single wall mount Mitsubishi. I’ve got a floor mount that needs cleaning currently…
I cannot emphasize how incredibly helpful this video was and how appreciative I am for it. I moved into a house years back that has the same ductless mini splits you have. Although I regularly washed the filters over the years, I didn’t even think about doing such a thorough cleaning. I began noticing the units had bacteria, debris, etc. and it did not sit well with me. I came upon your video a few days ago by chance and decided to go for it. I just finished successfully dismantling and cleaning all of my interior units and what a difference. You made it so easy with your step by step walkthrough of what to do. THANK YOU!!! Best step-by-step video of all the ones I saw on UA-cam - with everything I needed to service my Mitsubishi mini splits. The company that installed my systems wanted to charge me $195 to clean the first unit and $95 for each additional unit for a total of $700+!! This 73 year old woman did it herself with your expert guidance! (By the way - there is no option for a 'thumbs up' - only 'thumbs down' - of which there are 8.2K. Perhaps a glitch in the system??)
Just did all five of the splits in my apartment thanks to this amazing tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and for filming/editing this in a way that was easy to follow. Living in NYC, local companies wanted $300-500 a piece to do this, saved me a ton of money.
Thanks so much for this info. I'm disabled and I've hired Hvac people several times to service and clean my mini splits and they never did a decent job. I couldn't get the whole cover off but I cleaned it as best I could using your suggestions. It's a much better job than any of the guys that charged me $200! I have 6 of these in my house so it's a fortune if I pay to have it done and really sad when they rip me off. I'm so glad i won't be calling them again.
Best video I've seen of the cleaning process. Some don't show how to deal with the clips when removing the cover. Others don't show removing the blower wheel. You cover it all, simply and clearly. Thank you!!! I think I'm finally ready to try this process on one of my head units. If the experience goes well I'll do all 3 head units.
After that cleaning what you should do is throw some evapo tabs in that pan. That will help the drain not to get clogged and also keep the water from getting a moldy smell. I've been in HVAC for 25 years. That's what I do. Your video is very good. Keep up the good work
Special thanks to Jim for posting this video, it was SUPER HELPFUL. I just finished cleaning my 2009 LG mini-split, and the video gave me the confidence to dive in. It was really helpful for disassembling the unit to pull the fan blade and gain access to the inside of the heat exchanger coil. I would not have figured out the location of the hidden set screw inside the fan blade without this video. Took a few hours (working slowly), as I had a lot of black mold removal, and was my 1st time disassembling and cleaning. I also used a foaming type heat exchanger cleaner, but still needed a fair amount of rinsing of the coil, fan blade and internals. I followed up with a bleach rinse, then warm water. The A/C nit runs great now regarding cooling temp, air flow, and odor (none). Prior to this, the fan was so packed with dust/ mold, cooling efficiency was low, the fan wasn't rotating that well (slower and off balance), and smelled like a bad hotel room. The mold was causing some sinus issues as well. I will repeat this as needed, hopefully only every 2-3 years since it took me ~ 10 years to notice the issue. Seems it should take ~ 1.5 hours start to finish in the future since I know the sequence. Thanks again and good luck to all other DIYers.
Great video, Jim. I was uncomfortable doing a maintenance clean on my mini split but after watching your video a couple times, I decided to give it a try; eventually got it done and it worked out well. I'm sure it'll be much easier going forward, so I wanted to thank you for the help. God bless you, pal.
@@Afritunez, it took about 4 hours but it's time to do it again and I'm pretty sure I can do it much quicker now...maybe a couple hours or less. One thing I'll do this time around is wear a long-sleeved shirt because once you're in the unit and cleaning the far end, the coil fins can really scratch up your arms. Good luck.
yes we use this exact system and products. The local ac companies here charge the same, our hvac company charged us $4500 a year to just clean the inside units , checking the outside units and walking around each room with a concerned look is an extra &1800 a year, I now clean the units twice a year for about $100
I have a friend who has a Mitsubishi mini split and is having some issues with the evaporator unit inside. I watched your video with great enthusiasm and have high praise for your quality of maintenance skills and your video skills. This type of service I can do especially now since I’ve watched your excellent video. Thank you for your efforts!
One of the very best, if not the best, diy videos on cleaning a Mitsubishi mini split. I like that you cover every detail. You help guys like me to venture into what is commonly the unknown. Thanks!
This is by far the best video I’ve seen. You just gave me the confidence to go and clean my mini split. It’s been dripping water inside so I know it needs cleaning. Got dogs that bring dirt inside. Thanks for doing this. Right now the HVAC guys are charging an arm and a leg for this.
Thank you! I watched 3 different videos today while cleaning my Mitsubishi and while they were all helpful in their own ways, if I were to only have one, I would certainly pick yours. Very comprehensive verbal and video instructions with the best views of the difficult-to-deal-with spots. It was nerve-wracking for me to pull off the cover (this was the first time it came off since the installation) and the clips were so tight I worried I would crack the cover.... but thanks to your showing the placement of the clips, I was able to get it off with no damage. Thank you again and again!
Excellent!! Clear, thorough, good sound, light, & editing. I found a Mitsu service manual online & it took me down such a rabbit hole!! I tore most of the right side apart following that manual! Argghh. I eventually figured out what you showed, but only after such a waste of time. I came here for the cleaning part & that was really helpful. Thanks!
This is an excellent video with clear instructions. I used this to clean a Mitsubishi MSY-GL12NA split system. There was no way I'd have figured out how to dismantle this system without watching this video.
What an awesome video!! You are the man!! Never did I think I could clean my mini splits myself but after watching your super thorough to the point instruction I decided to give it a go and WOW - you have saved me a tremendous amount of money not having to hire an “AC pro “ Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks so much for the video. My wife and I started waking up with stuffy/runny noses this spring. When I checked our unit it was full of mold. Using your video I pulled it apart and cleaned everything. Saved our health and $hundreds of service dollars. I'll be doing this every fall now to be sure the system is clean and dry for the winter. BTW: the small filters are supposed to help with allergens.
I watch your DIY cleaning of AC all the way through and even download it to watch next time I do my DIY cleaning. Thank you for the thorough step by step process , it really help. Keep up the DIY goody.
Thank you for this video! We've been paying service people to do our cleaning with varied expertise and results. Expensive. I'll watch this a couple more times and then clean our units myself. Your video revealed what the last guy did wrong. Thankful for the detail you put into your tutorial.
Hey Jim, just wanted to again say thanks a million for these mini split cleaning videos. About 2 years ago I followed this and your outside condenser cleaning videos for first time cleaning my Mitsubishis (same as yours) and it was so great. I’m going to be doing them again this week. Couldn’t have done this without you and so much money saved.
@@DIYJIM Success again..did my outdoor condensers (2) and inside evaporator units (6) over last couple of days. Exhausting but went even better this time around, although I’m still way slower at it than you lol. Thanks again, could not have done any of this with you. Have a great summer. 👍
Thank you for making this. I did not know I’m supposed to do this, and I’m intimidated by this job. With your video I am much more confident I can get it done.
This video has answered questions that I've had and also given me the confidence to do a deep cleaning myself at the point of writing this comment I haven't done the cleaning but i am excited and very optimistic about getting it done,I like the simplicity and honesty I get from you, thank you sir
Love the amount of detail and time you take to explain the process! The cover tip is about the best - my first time doing this took me over a half hour trying to get that darn cover off (before I figured out the clips). Would you say the Cleaning Cover is reusable? I may invest in one the next time I go thru this process...
Yes the cleaning cover seems like it will last a long time, just let it dry out. Thank you for the comment. I have links for this in my description, if you click on them it helps support my channel thank you
Great video! The best split AC cleaning instruction I have found so far. You are easy to see and hear as you make this dusty and or dank task simple to understand! Thanks!
Great video. I am 65 and live in a condo. So I will not attempt this myself but i understand now why it costs so much to clean one of these,: it's quite a job. Thank you.
Excellent video, Jim. Thank you. I watched a few and your video was the best. It was very methodical, and easy to follow. You also take care to make sure a very thorough deep cleaning is performed. My HVAC company wants $285 per unit to clean them, ever though I have a $750 contract to maintain the 3 units. I also appreciate that you remind people to shut the power. The video with the Mitsubishi tech didn't even say to shut the power. Water and electricity don't mix too well
@@DIYJIM JIM, My A/C contractor wanted $300 per unit to do a deep cleaning. I have 3 units, and I didn't want to spend $900 on cleaning. I did the first unit, and it went well. Took a bit of time since it was my first time. There was one part of the video that seemed edited out, and that was my only obstacle. When doing the reassembly, and after re-installing the blower wheel, I had a hard time getting the drip pan back into place. Otherwise the whole thing went without a hitch. Let me know if there is a trick to getting the pan back in place, and thank you again! Frank
@@frankfav I think you will get better and faster every time you do it. I can not remember there being a trick to getting the drip pan back in place. Thank you again for watching and I am glad I could save you some $$$ All I can say is to watch starting at 15:00 I talk about the drip pan.
You did an EXCEPTIONAL job making this video! My husband, kids and I were literally miserable in an Oregon Summer heatwave of 98-111 degrees Fahrenheit and our mini split was barely doing its job...turns out the blower fan was completely caked in moisture caused overgrowth of what I can only assume is white mold!! 😳🙈🤢 (Last time I tried to use suction to unclog the condensation line I accidentally BLEW the stuff UP the line 😬😬 which I now suspect probably caused this overgrowth in the indoor unit?) It was barely able to blow any air! About an hour later we cleaned everything off and managed to put it all back in place. I can proudly say we now have our "chest freezer" of a living room back! =No more cranky husband 😂😅🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thank you! You likely saved the rest of our summer!! 😊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm a renter and I don't know if the units in this house have EVER been cleaned since install. It certainly didn't seem that way when I took it apart because it started leaking water. Your video has been super helpful.
Mitsubishi split ac in 2024, very similar disassembly. Thank you! Excellent video! You helped me self-service and remove musty smell from my living room system. Mold build up behind my drip tray and on the blower fan.
Jim, you made it look easy step by step procedure on how to clean your mini split wall indoor evaporator unit very well and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing and for service to our country!
Have had 4 of these Misubishi units for at least 5 years and live in Florida. Have had to clean the blower fins about every 4 months due to them fuzzing up. Have been swinging the vanes out to get to the blower to clean. This is a great video on the job done properly (which I remember doing originally). Motivates me to do it the right way again. Thanks for the excellent video.
thanks for the video Jim, I've been meaning to DIY clean this unit on my own and this video is one of the most detailed I've seen and really made me confident that I can do it. Cheers!
You are the best bro.. I followed you every step of the way and got it done.. Saved me over $500 to get it "professionally" cleaned.. I live in Miami so you can imagine..
Not bad, I do the same without disassembly, spray the foam all over the coil and the blower, just let it drip down the drain. As you noticed the cleaning cover doesn’t make much of a difference.
There are plastic parts which have mold too and you cannot get to them without taking unit apart, including the part in front of blower and one behind coils in back.
Well organized and with clear instructions for a new-be like me. After watching a couple of times I think I may now have the courage to clean my unit. Thanks so much!
My Heatpump wasn't smelling too good, but following your steps, I got it apart. It was absolutely disgusting!! Now all clean, so hopefully that solves the problem. Thank you so much!
Thank you for your great video. AC guys want to charge us $400 for two mini-splits and we have 7 of them. We accomplished one today and the rest will get easier. My holy moly was it disgusting!! But all clean now, thanks to your instruction.
This is excellent, my 4 units are musty since they appear to have never been cleaned. I just bought the house and I'm going all in now with this help. Thanks
Great job. Very clear and easy to understand. Your reminders about the little details kept me saying “ Oh yeah I would’ve forgotten about that. “ Thank you very much.
Jim, that was the most detailed and helpful video on this subject that I've come across. (and I've seen a bunch) Your camera was always pointed to the exact spots that you were referring to, you skipped no detail in the dismantling AND reassembly of the unit and it was because of YOU that I was not as nervous as I was about tackling this project! Just because of this video, I've subscribed ... Thanks!
Great job Jim. You're the only UA-cam video that explains how to release those top taps on the outer cover. They're a PIA if you don't know where they're located.
Thank you for this post/video. We have been struggling for years to clean our mini split and this was very clear and loved the step by step! Thank you!!
Great Job. I have one in Every room of my House. I live in the middle of a big city(Sydney),,I also smoke allot. My Aircons are so Dirty. The Aircon Company suggested replacing each Unit at AU$3,000 per unit. So that's $21,000 to replace 7 inside Units, and more to clean Compressors. THANK YOU so Much for Your Tutorials. I can do it myself now and Save BIG BUCKS.
This is a very informative video. I was seriously considering a mini-split system for my 1934 house. I'm a single woman, aged 60, and seeing what I would have to do in every room every month, I'm pretty sure I would have to pay someone, which would add between $100-$200 per month to my heating/cooling bill. Glad I watched this!
Thank you so much for this! I followed all your instructions down to the last screw supposedly, but now I have one that I don't know where I got from. The AC is blowing out clean air! I cleaned out about 2 years' worth of dirt and grime. Thank you so so much!!! 😊
Excellent video. My 6 minis had NEVER been deep cleaned. Your video laid it out perfectly. It was much more difficult to find the same info for my Fujitsu minis. You da man!
Thank you. This is the way to do it. Very helpful details in your video that are missing from some others. I cleaned my Mitsubishi today. My coil was OK.
Super detailed and informative. Jim spoke slowly and exuded confidence thru out the DIY video. As others said a breath of fresh air. Even alluded to reminders about removing your filters from your vac, when sucking up water. I've made that mistake once!
As much as this video is well-presented and highly recommended -- I can't see doing this level of maintenance several times a year on the six air handlers we had in mind. We've owned a gas-fired baseboard heating system and window air conditioners since the 1980s. Even though we make enough solar power to run a heat-pumping system ...heading into our retirement years, we're sticking with what we have.
Thank you so much for posting this! I started to take it apart myself, I never knew that a split level has to be cleaned ( gulp), the inside is a carpet of black nasty stuff. It needs a serious cleaning.

Glad my video helped you. Thanks for the nice long comment
Ouch..never use bleach! Do some research ..you’ll see.
Awesome glad I could help
How long did it take? Thinking of doing it soon
The local ac companies here charge the same, our hvac company charged us $4500 a year to just clean the inside units , checking the outside units and walking around each room with a concerned look is an extra &1800 a year, I now clean the units twice a year for about $100
Holy smokes guess I’m saving myself some money and helping others save some money. Thanks for watching
Glad I could help, thanks for watching
One of the very best, if not the best, diy videos on cleaning a Mitsubishi mini split. I like that you cover every detail. You help guys like me to venture into what is commonly the unknown. Thanks!
Glad I could help thanks for watching
This is by far the best video I’ve seen. You just gave me the confidence to go and clean my mini split. It’s been dripping water inside so I know it needs cleaning. Got dogs that bring dirt inside. Thanks for doing this. Right now the HVAC guys are charging an arm and a leg for this.
Thanks for watching
Thanks for taking your time to show the entire process. It was really helpful before I took mine apart.
your welcome
Awesome glad I could help thanks for watching
Thanks!
Glad I could help thanks for watching
This is an excellent video with clear instructions. I used this to clean a Mitsubishi MSY-GL12NA split system. There was no way I'd have figured out how to dismantle this system without watching this video.
glad I could help
What an awesome video!! You are the man!! Never did I think I could clean my mini splits myself but after watching your super thorough to the point instruction I decided to give it a go and WOW - you have saved me a tremendous amount of money not having to hire an “AC pro “ Thank you so much!!!!
Glad I could help and saved you some $$. Thanks for watching
This is far the best ductless ac cleaning guide on UA-cam! Thank you Jimmy!
Thank you glad I could help
Thanks so much for the video. My wife and I started waking up with stuffy/runny noses this spring. When I checked our unit it was full of mold. Using your video I pulled it apart and cleaned everything. Saved our health and $hundreds of service dollars. I'll be doing this every fall now to be sure the system is clean and dry for the winter. BTW: the small filters are supposed to help with allergens.
Glad I could help thanks for watching hope your summer is cool 😎
The clearest demonstration of how to clean these units as I've seen. Product list is great too. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and commenting
I watch your DIY cleaning of AC all the way through and even download it to watch next time I do my DIY cleaning. Thank you for the thorough step by step process , it really help. Keep up the DIY goody.
Awesome! Thank you! Glad i could help
Our A/C guys want to charge almost $400 to do this job! Definitely sharing this video with my husband so we can do it ourselves. Thank you so much!!!
Welcome thanks for watching
As a fellow Jim and an HVAC tech I appreciate this video very much. Good tips and easy to follow. Also, I remember He-Man very much😄
Thanks for watching glad you like my video
Thank you for this video! We've been paying service people to do our cleaning with varied expertise and results. Expensive. I'll watch this a couple more times and then clean our units myself. Your video revealed what the last guy did wrong. Thankful for the detail you put into your tutorial.
Hope it helps thanks for watching
Hey Jim, just wanted to again say thanks a million for these mini split cleaning videos. About 2 years ago I followed this and your outside condenser cleaning videos for first time cleaning my Mitsubishis (same as yours) and it was so great. I’m going to be doing them again this week. Couldn’t have done this without you and so much money saved.
Glad to help again thanks for watching again lol stay cool
@@DIYJIM Success again..did my outdoor condensers (2) and inside evaporator units (6) over last couple of days. Exhausting but went even better this time around, although I’m still way slower at it than you lol. Thanks again, could not have done any of this with you. Have a great summer. 👍
Thank you for making this. I did not know I’m supposed to do this, and I’m intimidated by this job. With your video I am much more confident I can get it done.
Glad I could help
This video has answered questions that I've had and also given me the confidence to do a deep cleaning myself at the point of writing this comment I haven't done the cleaning but i am excited and very optimistic about getting it done,I like the simplicity and honesty I get from you, thank you sir
You are so welcome!
Super complete video on how to do this cleanup. Incredibly helpful!!! Thank you so much. 😁👍
Your welcome thanks for watching
You are great example for everybody who wish to have his ac healthy ...♥️
thank you
Love the amount of detail and time you take to explain the process!
I have links for this in my description, if you click on them it helps support my channel thank you
I got stuck trying to remove the inner wheel I'm so glad you showed me the third screw in the back. Thanks so much for this video bud 😁
welcome, thanks for watching
Great video! The best split AC cleaning instruction I have found so far. You are easy to see and hear as you make this dusty and or dank task simple to understand! Thanks!
Your welcome
Great video. I am 65 and live in a condo. So I will not attempt this myself but i understand now why it costs so much to clean one of these,: it's quite a job. Thank you.
Now you will also know if they do a good job. Thanks for watching
Water and electricity don't mix too well
Thank you very much I put a lot of work into making it good. Glad you like
@@DIYJIM JIM, My A/C contractor wanted $300 per unit to do a deep cleaning.
@@DIYJIM Thank you Jim. Getting ready right now on my second unit
great walkthrough- i watch it every time i clean my mini split
Thanks for watching again
Thank you Jim - So clear, helpful and your presentation makes the task much smaller than how big it kept getting in my mind. God bless.
Glad you like the video it’s not to bad of a job just start in the morning when it’s cooler outside
Awesome glad my video helped you get back to a comfortable home. Thanks for watching
You just saved my AC...AND MY SUMMER! 😭🥰 THANK YOUUUU
Your welcome glad to help
I'm a renter and I don't know if the units in this house have EVER been cleaned since install. It certainly didn't seem that way when I took it apart because it started leaking water. Your video has been super helpful.
glad it was helpful, thanks for watching
clear and thorough presentation
Thanks
Mitsubishi split ac in 2024, very similar disassembly. Thank you! Excellent video!
You helped me self-service and remove musty smell from my living room system. Mold build up behind my drip tray and on the blower fan.
Glad it helped, thanks for watching
Great tutorial! Thank you for taking your time and explaining everything so well. This is the most helpful video on youtube!
Glad I could help thanks for watching
Jim, you made it look easy step by step procedure on how to clean your mini split wall indoor evaporator unit very well and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing and for service to our country!
Hope your ac turns out good
Bro, you’re the man. I appreciate this video.
Glad I could help thanks for watching
Have had 4 of these Misubishi units for at least 5 years and live in Florida. Have had to clean the blower fins about every 4 months due to them fuzzing up. Have been swinging the vanes out to get to the blower to clean. This is a great video on the job done properly (which I remember doing originally). Motivates me to do it the right way again. Thanks for the excellent video.
Thanks for watching glad you like my video
I have that fuzz on my blower wheel. The ac tech said it is not mold.Should I believe him?
thanks for the video Jim, I've been meaning to DIY clean this unit on my own and this video is one of the most detailed I've seen and really made me confident that I can do it.
Cheers!
Glad it helped thanks for watching
Great instructional video. Saved me $2,000/year now that I don’t have to hire my hvac contractor to clean these. Thanks!!
Welcome, thanks for commenting and being a subscriber if you are
You’re a bloody legend mate.
Thank you Alison, hope everything is going good for you
How do you spot an Aussie in comments? 🤣
you're beautiful, my white kween
you're bloody beautiful, my white kween
You are the best bro.. I followed you every step of the way and got it done.. Saved me over $500 to get it "professionally" cleaned.. I live in Miami so you can imagine..
Awesome glad I could help save you some money. I have a new video coming out today at 6:30
Not bad, I do the same without disassembly, spray the foam all over the coil and the blower, just let it drip down the drain. As you noticed the cleaning cover doesn’t make much of a difference.
Thanks for commenting have a good summer
There are plastic parts which have mold too and you cannot get to them without taking unit apart, including the part in front of blower and one behind coils in back.
Well organized and with clear instructions for a new-be like me. After watching a couple of times I think I may now have the courage to clean my unit. Thanks so much!
Welcome thanks for watching
think I'll hire this one out...haha. thank you!
No problem
Thanks Mike I will be cleaning after 8 years, your video is very helpful
Welcome thanks for watching
Yes I remember He-Man LOL
... always thought it was a figment of my imagination since nobody I know remembers him, and I'm 58...
Your the first to comment on this lol. Thanks for watching hope your summer is good
best cleaning/teardown guide on the internet. Thank you.
You're welcome!
My Heatpump wasn't smelling too good, but following your steps, I got it apart. It was absolutely disgusting!! Now all clean, so hopefully that solves the problem. Thank you so much!
Glad my video helped you.
Best description yet on how to do this! Now go and try to do this....
Hope it helps thanks for watching
Thank you for your great video. AC guys want to charge us $400 for two mini-splits and we have 7 of them. We accomplished one today and the rest will get easier. My holy moly was it disgusting!! But all clean now, thanks to your instruction.
Awesome glad I could help
This is one of the best youtube videos I've ever seen.
Thank you
This is excellent, my 4 units are musty since they appear to have never been cleaned. I just bought the house and I'm going all in now with this help. Thanks
Hope my video helps. Did you see my new video ua-cam.com/video/Ol2RGvl6iC0/v-deo.html I really like my new pressure washer.
Great job. Very clear and easy to understand. Your reminders about the little details kept me saying “ Oh yeah I would’ve forgotten about that. “ Thank you very much.
Glad I could help
Jim, that was the most detailed and helpful video on this subject that I've come across. (and I've seen a bunch) Your camera was always pointed to the exact spots that you were referring to, you skipped no detail in the dismantling AND reassembly of the unit and it was because of YOU that I was not as nervous as I was about tackling this project! Just because of this video, I've subscribed ... Thanks!
Thank you for subscribing glad I could help. I’m making another video soon using a AC pressure washer that I just purchased.
This is by far, hands down the best video I’ve seen. Thank you for this as I now know how to clean mine.
Thanks glad I could help
That was really well done!! Very clear, very thorough, good camera work and well narrated. Much appreciated!!
Glad it was helpful!
YAY, my friend and I did this in 2 hours with two units. The cover was hard for us to take off but we got it after that, thank you so much!
Glad I could help thanks for watching
Thank you for this! I successfully cleaned my unit this morning using this guide.
Glad it helped!
The best aircond cleaning video i seen so far. Very detail and helpful. Thank you.
thank you very much, glad it was helpful
I revisit this video twice a year when it’s time to clean out my mini split. Thank you sooooo much!
Your welcome thanks for watching every year.
Great job Jim. You're the only UA-cam video that explains how to release those top taps on the outer cover. They're a PIA if you don't know where they're located.
Thanks I try to make all my videos easy to understand. Thanks for the nice comment
Thank you for this post/video. We have been struggling for years to clean our mini split and this was very clear and loved the step by step! Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
One of the best how to videos I have seen, could not have done this service without this excellent video, and I do not give complements easily.
Thank you very much joe glad you liked the video
Seems clear and straight forward. I will be trying this in the next couple of days. Thank you.
Hope it goes smoothly, thanks for watching
Glad I could save you some money
This is a very informative video. I was seriously considering a mini-split system for my 1934 house. I'm a single woman, aged 60, and seeing what I would have to do in every room every month, I'm pretty sure I would have to pay someone, which would add between $100-$200 per month to my heating/cooling bill. Glad I watched this!
I only clean my ac about once a year and have gone a couple years before cleaning. Thanks for watching
followed your directions and I am very pleased with how well you explained this and my system is working at 100%. Thank You
Glad it helped
Excellent video. Very, very clear instructions. ...also, a very good sense of humor. Much appreciated.
Thank you again
Thank you so much for this! I followed all your instructions down to the last screw supposedly, but now I have one that I don't know where I got from. The AC is blowing out clean air! I cleaned out about 2 years' worth of dirt and grime. Thank you so so much!!! 😊
Glad I could help thanks for watching
Excellent video!!! I was able to clean my AC from start to finish without any confusion. AMAZING!
Awesome glad I could help
I am about to start a mini split cleaning business and this video is everything! Thanks!
Your welcome glad I could help
Watching this is like ASMR for dads. I mean that in a good way. Great vid.
thank you
Ok, Jim, I’m gonna go clean my mini split now. Thanks for this very helpful video.
Hope everything goes well, thanks for watching
Excellent video. My 6 minis had NEVER been deep cleaned. Your video laid it out perfectly. It was much more difficult to find the same info for my Fujitsu minis. You da man!
Great to hear! Thanks for leaving me a comment
Thank you. This is the way to do it. Very helpful details in your video that are missing from some others. I cleaned my Mitsubishi today. My coil was OK.
Thanks for watching
Watched another one of these and while they were similar, you were thorough with your demonstration and explanation.
Thank you glad you like
Super detailed and informative. Jim spoke slowly and exuded confidence thru out the DIY video. As others said a breath of fresh air. Even alluded to reminders about removing your filters from your vac, when sucking up water. I've made that mistake once!
Thanks glad you like my video
Outstanding instructional! Thank you!! Just cleaned our mitsubishi and it looks and smells so much better!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for posting this! I started to take it apart myself, I never knew that a split level has to be cleaned ( gulp), the inside is a carpet of black nasty stuff. It needs a serious cleaning.
Hope my video helped you, thanks for watching
Thank you , I just cleaned my Mr. slim by following your instructions 😊
Awesome thanks for watching and subscribing if you are a new subscriber. Stay cool this summer
Thanks for the help Jim. I couldn't find another video that broke it down so well.
Your welcome
Will start cleaning my three units tomorrow morning following this video … super excited!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
