the graphics looks the same, my god, its so sad that now days people so obsessed with graphics so badly, it won't really help all that much if a video game don't have no good gameplay, and everybody knows gameplay is more important than graphics.
If you don't care about graphics at all, go and play San Andreas, it was a great game... back in 2004. Now I would rather play GTA IV or GTA V... and San Andreas arguably had better gameplay than GTA IV.
The PS4 and Xbox One are suppose to have a 6-8 year life cycle, we're not even a year into their release and they are already greatly lagging behind.
I like graphic fidelity, it immerses you more into the game, nothing wrong with that.
Yeh well the gameplay looks like shit. The only thing that ever looked good about this game was the graphics on the original previews.

People want to justify paying half a grand on their new machines. When the game looks and plays like "last-gen", their investment doesn't make much sense anymore. It's just consumer entertainment, no need to get too upset over these things. there's a lot more important ones going on around. (that much is clear).
But these developers want us to buy their product, after showing fake footage in E3. And after seeing what they really have to sell, I'd say 'keep your game fellas'. ;)

i enjoyed Watch Dogs. I love the setting of Chicago. it's pretty spot on, and i live near Chicago. it's like a combination of GTA V and Assassin's Creed. but with Hacking to be used instead of stealth and action. there's a ton of side missions. the plot is a typical revenge plot, so it's not great, but could be worse. i'm looking forward to WD 2 this holiday.

In case y'all haven't noticed, not EVERYONE on the god damn planet has the time, money, knowledge, or patience to build a gaming computer. It's not "basic logic". If that were the case than my 90 year old grandma could build me a gaming PC right now.
It's sad to see the gaming community turn into such a clusterfuck of spoiled, self-centered losers with entitlement complexes.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd take having friends and a social life over building something that I really don't need when it would take me 5 minutes just to hook up my Xbox.

I can agree. I have always loved playstation ever since I was little and have always used one. This Christmas though my bro made me a custom Gaming laptop and I have kinda started to drift away from console. All the sweet steam deals, huge open world games, mods that extend playability and the updatable hardware make it a great investment.

brscic Still 30 fps doe. If watchdogs can actually use up to 8 cores as they are saying, it is pretty good for the AMD guys. CPU bottle-neck shouldn't be a problem at 8 cores, unless you are running a old i5/i7/4core phenom. Then you might be out of luck.
***** Well it's not just the utilization of the 8 cores. Intel's i5 has four cores but they are much better at threading than amd's 8. I have an FX-8150, and I'm looking for an upgrade sooner or later. As much as I like amd being a cheaper alternative, I think intel is much better.

But yeah, intel has better single thread prformance so in most games intel will get better performance.
Failbot I bought a pre-built desktop with an 8150 2 years ago. the total price was the cheapest for what I thought were the best components. Since then I have re-built my computer on my own. ..I still have that processor though. I don't think it's trash, but it definitely isn't the greatest.

Because it's being played on a potato, aka PS4. I play it on my PC at 2560 x 1440 with graphics at ultra setting and it's frikkin gorgeous.
The game does look amazing when it is night time and when it rains, but the dumbed down the graphics so that the next gen consoles will look the same on PC, but PC modders found files the make the game look BEAUTIFUL like in the E3 2012 demo. The files they found were actually even called "E3 Graphics" it is a shame they dumbed down the graphics so they can act like next gen is the same power as a pc

That's Ubisoft's fault for advertising the game as a GTA killer. They should never
mentioned Rockstar in their ads.
I wasn't really sure about playing Watchdogs because some people kept raging that it is horrible. But I recently started playing it, and it isn't too bad. Of course it isn't going to be the "greatest game ever that pushes all boundaries", but it was pretty good for what it was: a really cool story with a (slightly boring and monotonous) protagonist who can hack almost anything in the city. It got really fun when I started hacking people's phones and "borrowing" from their bank accounts. There were only three things I would want to be different in the game: shooting while driving, a wider selection of outfits for the main character to use, and being able to play as Jordi. Compared to Jordi, the main character Aiden has the personality of a block of wood.
The Smoking Skull aiden is fine and shooting when in cars would be horrid in online and it just dosent fit in the game
i guess you can't play with Jordi because he's not a hacker like Aiden, he's more of an enforcer. but i agree he's much funnier than Aiden, although i do sympathize with Aiden's cause; i have a kid niece and i'd go through hell and back for her.
and i don't know why people think this game's crappy. hacking the city is pretty fun, especially in the car chases where you can make chumps of the people on your tail. that should be explained at the police chase part.

Watch Dogs isn't near future, believe it or not, it's actually alternate history, it takes place in 2013. I'm not kidding, because if you look at Lena's grave, it says she died in 2012, and she died because of the merlaut heist gone wrong, so they sent a hit man after him not long after, and after the opening cutscene, it said "11 Months later" Therefore making the year 2013, and the release date 2014. Alternate history.

***** If you think that looks the same as consoles your blind. The texture resolution alone is much lower. Plus the console versions are running sub 1080p and 30fps. The problem is pre release delay the graphics of the game looked so sick. But after the delay I think they downgraded on the graphics for all consoles.
Blahsheep This console gen was heavily underpowered already at release, unfortunately. PS3 was at its time of release stronger than any single GPU computer. Now, you can get a processor with more powerful built in graphics than the PS4. So dissapointing.
Ali Asif They aren't trolls because these graphics don't actually look that good, especially for a next gen system. All the game has is pretty lighting but everything else is very minimal. My PC is several years old and i'm very confident in saying that my PC can run this game better than the PS4 and also look better at the same time.
