I was curious about this too. I think they just cut it out as everyone winces when you get rinsed with water. I use a small squirt bottle with tissues to catch any drip off the side of their temples.

I’d find a new lash tech if she isn’t cleansing first. Fills can take 1-2 hours depending on how many lashes you have left, how many are grown out, etc.
How do you know which lengths and curl to use for a refill?

Why didn't you rinse with warm water after the lash bath?

warm water and warm air makes lashes fall out easier
I rinse with saline. It has done wonders for my retention.
