Since I have way too many clothing items from decades, I rotate my capsule every couple of weeks. I find it helpful to have a small rack in the room to hang items I want to wear. I wash the items when I am ready to have a new capsule from my closets. The joy of rediscover past favorite items is great.
I make adjustments every month or so, because the Isle of Wight's weather is very varied and unpredictable , and because, as you say, it prevents boredom because you rediscover items. I too have a lot of items which I have kept for many years, even decades.
As a woman in my 40's that carried my 90'S PNW esthetic into my adult life and recognized that I needed to level up my wardrobe for a new career about 5 years ago, I can say that the greatest shift occured for me after 1) removing everything that wasn't natural fibers, except for athletic clothing, and 2) applying color theory and really learning to recognize when a color worked for me and when it didn't. I'm a life-long thrifter, so I really appreciate being able to try things out at a low price and recycling them back into the thrift-stream if they didn't work for me, without feeling massively guilty. I would say that I've been working hard at the capsule concept for 5 or 6 years now, and I know myself well enough to know that I will simply never have a 30 item wardrobe if I don't have to. I had between 2 and 5- 6 outfits as a homeless teen, as a working, single mother throughout my twenties because I couldn't afford more clothes. I'm working on NOT feeling guilty about having a healthy sized wardrobe. It's one of my main hobbies and I still find most things at the thrift. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, and very much enjoy the satisfaction of having a closet full of cashmere, wool, lambswool, vintage denim, silk, linen shirts...a lot of what I have found is of exquisite quality and current and future clothing production will probably never match it. I don't want to feel guilty for that. That being said, the blvalue I have gotten from the capsule wardrobe movement is the idea of rotating capsules by season-as almost all of the capsule UA-camrs do. I love not having 4 seasons of clothing in my closet, and taking an upcoming season's clothes out of storage is like it's own version of Christmas. Like seeing old friends! Or opening a package of new clothes! It's become a fun personal tradition and pasttime, and I love pampering my stored clothes with sachets of cedarwood oil and lavender. One of my favorite little joys of living, and contributes to a strong sense of gratitude for what I have in my life, since for many years I really had nothing and wasn't always sure that I would survive.
Capsule wardrobe? Neutral colors? Perfect! Since i had my color analysis, I’m in heaven: i know exactly what looks best on me and everything matches! Being a bright winter, my neutral colors are white and black, pink, red, blue and green 😁 I only look at these colors, others do not interest me anymore. What a relief!

Just going to be honest. Like life, clothes are what you make of them. I don’t buy designer because I won’t pay for the name. I try to shop ethically but some of my soft knits are from Walmart. A good tee shirt and well fitting jeans with a cashmere cardigan ( One Quince) is where I put my money. Blazers are great on other people. I’m a cardigan girl. I look softer and less crisp but that’s ok. In mental health work being approachable is important. I love that you addressed the unattainable segment of capsules. I just sat down and imagined what I wanted life to look like and what I needed to wear for it. Not in a fantasy life way but in a hey what is my typical week. Then I made a list of what I am and am not willing to do. Especially with fabric care. Those combined for my authentic wardrobe.
Great video! I think this is something that needs to be talked about more. Over the years, as I've watched the capsule wardrobe rise, the visual representation has been the same. Neutrals, simple design, no color, no pattern, and expensive. When that is all anyone sees, it can be a roadblock for many and in my opinion just another form of conformity. That is not what personal style is supposed to be! It's PERSONAL! So to anyone who reads this and feels they aren't "doing it right", I'm here to say, wear all the colors of the rainbow, rock those animal prints, and HAVE FUN! It's your closet, make it an awesome one!

I see all these guides from various fashion influencers, and they are all indistinguishable to me. No room for individuality, colour, personal style. And the whole concept can be overly intimidating. So-and-so says I must have this, that and those this season. EEEEEEEK. I have nothing to wear! I don't even know what capsule wardrobe really means except maybe in planning what to pack for an extended trip so that everything goes with everything and you aren't stuck for what to wear and/or end oup overpacking. At my age, 71, and after a lifetime of buying clothes that I love, I now find myself with many timeless pieces that, even if they're 40+ years old, work, and work great, perhaps with some tailoring or minor alterations. And if they look dated, I put them in a rollaway bin with some lavender sachets and stash them under my bed or a sofa and wait for them to come back. They always do. I am now wearing crochet beanies and berets that my Mom made in the 70s! The lessons I have learned are: Buy only what you love, fits (or can be made to fit) and looks amazing on you, flatters your figure (don't hide it!), gives you a smile when you look in the mirror, is not overly trendy (cold shoulders? OMG no!), Then, and only then, fill in the blanks. For example, I recently bought a stunning but somewhat "loud" blazer in a tan and aqua plaid. I found some good and inexpensive tan and aqua tees and splurged on an aqua cotton sweater because I had nothing in that colour in my closet. Of course, it works with white tops as well. Splurge on accessories like belts, bags, scarves but NOT shoes. They go out of style and are hard to repurpose because your feet -- and knees! -- change as you age. Accessories can upgrade an outfit instantly. Don't be afraid to thrift, buy pre-loved, vintage. One of my favourite dresses came via eBay. I have many high-end boots via eBay as well. Study those vloggers who give good tips on what colours, styles, dress lengths, etc. work on a body like yours. Dress for your lifestyle and comfort level. Don't compete with others. Be yourself. Don't be afraid to be a little out there if that's who you are. And most important? Take care of your clothes, ladies. You won't regret it. Hand wash, cold water, inside out and hang or lie flat to dry. Use good hangers. Don't hang knits. Fold them over hangers or on shelves and in drawers. Get rid of stains immediately. What you love will last a lifetime, even if it wasn't expensive or designer-quality to begin with. Wear "you" and not some stranger's idea of what you "should" wear without their knowing anything about your body, lifestyle, location, budget, schedule, work... To me a "capsule wardrobe" is nothing but a formula for conformity, overspending, panic.
You took the words out of my mouth. Especially caring for your clothes. I have never been able to afford “designer” items. But I look for the best quality I can find in my budget, and I take care of them. I’m not ashamed to tell where I purchased things and frequently it surprises others. I have numerous inexpensive items that I have had literally for years. I may have something of an advantage over some in that I’m older, so I’ve had time to learn how to dress my shape….and I worked for a number of years in retail clothing stores .
I am in a similar age range,, and do the same as you in every category except for shoes. Classic, well made well fitting shoes that have a personality can last for years and really make an outfit.
I definitely fall into the category that finds button downs, blazers and trench coats challenging to wear. I've been browsing a lot of Asian retailers. Not for purchase, but rather for inspiration. Although nearly all the silhouettes are oversized (especially on their tiny bods), there are so many unique details that could be added to basic garments in my closet. It's the perfect way to spend some free time during my no buy January.
Thank you for this topic. One of the things that bothers me about minimalist or capsule wardrobe is the concept of buy less but better. It does com from a place of privilege. "Try to buy wool, cashmere or something more luxurious. You can buy second hand!" 1. Second hand cashmere can still be very expensive. 2. I can't wear cashmere or wool items close to my skin. It's too sensitive. The arguement to add a layer underneath just puts a condition on a piece of clothing that was supposed to make your life easier! Thank you for your time and content!
There's definitely something to be said for those who only make enough money to make ends meet... those kinds of people care less about style and only buy clothes because they need them. Those who want to look good but are on a budget are likely to be contingent with their money and spend it when they have enough leftover. Privilege, for some people at least, is earned over time based on how they make their money work for them rather than against them. That's why the word "invest" gets thrown around so much, which kind of bothers me the more I hear it... From where I'm standing, at least, I come with the belief that having a good sense of style doesn't need to be equal to being expensive. Shopping at thrift stores has always been a norm, and with social media being part of society's culture now, this can help influence even more people than before in previous years. In saying all of this, I digress in the knowing that privilege is what sits at the root of what most people decide do and showcase here on UA-cam or other platforms, and that privilege does need to be acknowledged more.
@@amyli092 I agree. I think the word "investment" can also be thrown around as a justification for spending more. "it's okay that it costs twice as much as I would normally spend, it's an investment piece." If you care for all of your garments as you do expensive garments, you will probably get your cost per wear.
I thought I was alone in this with this same thoughts. I understand you completely, and this is why I try to "transpose" all the information out there into my life, my preferences etc.
I do think something that may help bridge the gap between either "investing" or thrifting (coming from youtuber discussions) would be simply living the mantra of, buy more wisely, not necessarily more expensively. I've heard the subject touched on here and there but I wonder if many who discuss these topics have forgotten. I have cardigans I bought new at H&M several years ago at pretty cheap prices, 100% cotton and quite well-constructed. I also recently found a couple of long-sleeved shirts at Target for about $10 each, also 100% cotton and decently constructed. These aren't luxurious items, but are good examples of garments that, if I take good care of them when washing, they have, and will, last a very long time! I do aim to be able to buy pieces that will inevitably cost more due to quality of material or production, but I have found over the years that as I've shopped fast-fashion more intentionally, I have been able to spend less for a time, save up a little more, and reward myself here and there with "forever" items without breaking the [small] bank. Edit: Obviously I commented on this before getting to Myth #3 & 4 😅 so I guess my contribution is more like a "case in point," lol, but I do hope to hear more discussion around this topic for sure 😊
When I was a poor college student and first working, I bought inexpensive items from Target or Salvation Army. But it is how you put them together and accessorize them that really makes an outfit. Also, it is important when on a seriously restricted budget, to iron and take extra good care of what items one does have. This keeps them looking newer longer, and less tatty. A little spray fabric sizing and a good press makes a cheap white shirt look fabulous.
The best expert on colourful capsules of all styles is Daria Andronescu and her unique method Wonder Wardrobe! She won't tell you to have jeans, white shirt etc . She can help you to incorporate anything you have or want to wear. She's here on YT of course. I agree with maintaining these beautiful items we purchase. Having a great cobbler or dry cleaner & seamstress are so important. I’ve changed buttons on coats and made them look like a fresh new coat. Or just getting a leather handbag professionally cleaned. Such simple things that help complete a polished look. ❤
One of the big issues for the sustainability model for me is I’ve finally recognized that most of the ethical sustainable brands just aren’t my style. When I look at the pieces that sit unworn in my closet they are usually from these brands. I’m petite so the oversized look doesn’t make me feel comfortable, which is a lot of those brands main aesthetic. The clothes I wear the most are pieces that are more fitted. Because I’ve had some of these ‘high street’ pieces for years, I feel okay about making a purchase so long as I a) truly need the item b) I try to find it 2nd hand first. I also like your comments on fixing things that need mending first. I have a handbag I bought 7 years ago that has started to wear in the corners. I bought a new one (same style) but it’s actually become bigger in size since the original one I purchased. So I returned it and am looking for a repair shop that could add leather or reinforcement to the corners to keep using the one I love. Capsule wardrobes are about what we love and being conscious purchasers. Whether that means lots of colors or not! (My wardrobe is a lot of black grey and blue 😅). Great content as always!
Oversized clothes and minimalistic estetic doesn''t suit me either. I would recommend you to shop at spanish or french sustainable brands, because their sizing is smaller. For example spanish brand Twothirds (it is also quite affordable) or french Balzac Paris, Sézane (I am not 100 % sure of the sustainibility of the last one, maybe it 's just greenwashing). And people at Wonder Wardrobe would recommend you ethical brands for petites for sure.

I think practically should be considered alongside love. Like I don’t love my black long sleeve shirt and rarely wear it on it’s own, but it has an important place in my wardrobe as a neutral layer to give extra warmth and enable me to wear the pieces I do love even in really cold weather!
I want to add some insights and experiences to your inspiring video. The huge problem I often see as a fashion consultant is that most of the people react on fashion trends and colours instead of getting to know which colour palette really suits them. We all have unique colours on us- it is crucial to know them- then it is easier to define the core of your colour range. Knowing the best basic colours, knowing the vibrant colours which match your colour type and the basic colours is key. Of course, a colour consultation like you are offering, and I as well, are key. Second, buying high labels to add the extra level- can be done secondhand. Through Rebelle I got a perfect Etienne Aigner bag which adds class to my outfits. 3. And my third thought for all the people who like to create a capsule wardrobe and don´t know how to start: Go through your wardrobe and list out similar pieces. A classic I often see in the wardrobes of my clients are blouses, always the same type, the same message. Or- ten similar pants etc, with slightly different details...I recommend them to really get the best blouse out, choose the best pieces for them- from pants to blouses, hang them together and then start to fill in the gaps. It is key to understand what certain pieces should do for you- how you want to feel in them and which level you want to play on. All the best, Sonja

I have a capsule wardrobe within my wardrobe. That is, a core of clothes that are the base, and if I travel, those are the clothes that I can pack for a trip without worrying about making outfits. If you use the term capsule or minimalist, however, the chances are good that someone will argue with you because they don't define the terms in the same way.

In the beginning I had a very hard time finding inspiration for a capsule as I never (like almost ever) wear pants: skirts and dresses are my personal go-tos even in winter. So, I do me…I have adapted a few formulas to my own style and preference. The most important rule for me is: I have to feel comfortable.

My original goal of adhering to "capsule" principles was to gain AWARENESS of my clothing habits and to exit some buying patterns that were unhealthy for both my wallet AND for the earth in equal portions. My wardrobe journey has been an extension of my own self-awareness. I like your no nonsense attitude about creating a capsule wardrobe. Question: I treated myself to a style consultation when I turned 40 and it was a great help in making my professional and personal choices better in terms of cut and color. I am now 54 and have different constraints, a heavier body, and gray hair. Do I have to do an expensive style consultation again as a more “mature” woman? Just feeling a bit frumpy and can’t seem to find shoes that are both comfortable and stylish. The right shoes make an outfit…
Sara Watson of LiveLoveSara is great at capsule/travel wardrobes that have individuality and style. My preference is slim fit jeans or trousers with a loud or unique silk blouse, all mine are second hand.
Found you and omg I love this way of thinking. Yes,in building my capsule wardrobe I got rid of the things that didn’t fit me. But I kept everything color, cause I love color. I mix & match neutrals, pattern & colors. For my unique style 🥰✨

I appreciate this video, I am not a pants gal and I almost dress exclusively in dresses and skirts (with shirts) and almost all of the capsule wardrobe channels push the narrative that pants are essential and while I own some pants for practical reasons I don't get more then one per purpose. I'm just not a fan of pants lol. I appreciate the acceptance of other styles.

I really love a capsule wardrobe and I do try to mix and match as much as possible. However I do always end up with Black 99% of the time. My problem is that I am severely colour blind so that makes it quite hard to be sure which colour it actually is.
After years I discovered I don't like patterns anymore... I used to like stripes but recently whatever pattern I try just don't feel right. So I stay with plain but strong colours-my favourite is black, white, grey and navy, and for color pop-red-even if that red is a lipstick. I pair my tops with mid wash blue denim-the only blue I can handle😁

I struggle with purses and shoes. I have a black purse and a light beige. When I’m wearing camel or navy and then only have say a black purse I find it looks misplaced. Like yesterday I wore a light pink skirt, navy blouse, navy glasses, and a light pink jacket and I feel my black shoes and purse looked odd 🫤

Splurge on accessories like belts, bags, scarves but NOT shoes. They go out of style and are hard to repurpose because your feet -- and knees! -- change as you age. Accessories can upgrade an outfit instantly.
Don't be afraid to thrift, buy pre-loved, vintage. One of my favourite dresses came via eBay. I have many high-end boots via eBay as well.
Study those vloggers who give good tips on what colours, styles, dress lengths, etc. work on a body like yours. Dress for your lifestyle and comfort level. Don't compete with others. Be yourself. Don't be afraid to be a little out there if that's who you are.
And most important? Take care of your clothes, ladies. You won't regret it. Hand wash, cold water, inside out and hang or lie flat to dry. Use good hangers. Don't hang knits. Fold them over hangers or on shelves and in drawers. Get rid of stains immediately. What you love will last a lifetime, even if it wasn't expensive or designer-quality to begin with.
Wear "you" and not some stranger's idea of what you "should" wear without their knowing anything about your body, lifestyle, location, budget, schedule, work... To me a "capsule wardrobe" is nothing but a formula for conformity, overspending, panic.

You took the words out of my mouth. Especially caring for your clothes. I have never been able to afford “designer” items. But I look for the best quality I can find in my budget, and I take care of them. I’m not ashamed to tell where I purchased things and frequently it surprises others. I have numerous inexpensive items that I have had literally for years. I may have something of an advantage over some in that I’m older, so I’ve had time to learn how to dress my shape….and I worked for a number of years in retail clothing stores .

I am in my 70s as well, and agree with everything you said. I want to be the best version of myself and that is not a boring look.
I am in a similar age range,, and do the same as you in every category except for shoes. Classic, well made well fitting shoes that have a personality can last for years and really make an outfit.

I definitely fall into the category that finds button downs, blazers and trench coats challenging to wear. I've been browsing a lot of Asian retailers. Not for purchase, but rather for inspiration. Although nearly all the silhouettes are oversized (especially on their tiny bods), there are so many unique details that could be added to basic garments in my closet. It's the perfect way to spend some free time during my no buy January.
Thank you for this topic. One of the things that bothers me about minimalist or capsule wardrobe is the concept of buy less but better. It does com from a place of privilege. "Try to buy wool, cashmere or something more luxurious. You can buy second hand!" 1. Second hand cashmere can still be very expensive. 2. I can't wear cashmere or wool items close to my skin. It's too sensitive. The arguement to add a layer underneath just puts a condition on a piece of clothing that was supposed to make your life easier! Thank you for your time and content!
There's definitely something to be said for those who only make enough money to make ends meet... those kinds of people care less about style and only buy clothes because they need them. Those who want to look good but are on a budget are likely to be contingent with their money and spend it when they have enough leftover. Privilege, for some people at least, is earned over time based on how they make their money work for them rather than against them. That's why the word "invest" gets thrown around so much, which kind of bothers me the more I hear it...
From where I'm standing, at least, I come with the belief that having a good sense of style doesn't need to be equal to being expensive. Shopping at thrift stores has always been a norm, and with social media being part of society's culture now, this can help influence even more people than before in previous years. In saying all of this, I digress in the knowing that privilege is what sits at the root of what most people decide do and showcase here on UA-cam or other platforms, and that privilege does need to be acknowledged more.
@@amyli092 I agree. I think the word "investment" can also be thrown around as a justification for spending more. "it's okay that it costs twice as much as I would normally spend, it's an investment piece." If you care for all of your garments as you do expensive garments, you will probably get your cost per wear.
I thought I was alone in this with this same thoughts. I understand you completely, and this is why I try to "transpose" all the information out there into my life, my preferences etc.
I do think something that may help bridge the gap between either "investing" or thrifting (coming from youtuber discussions) would be simply living the mantra of, buy more wisely, not necessarily more expensively. I've heard the subject touched on here and there but I wonder if many who discuss these topics have forgotten.
I have cardigans I bought new at H&M several years ago at pretty cheap prices, 100% cotton and quite well-constructed. I also recently found a couple of long-sleeved shirts at Target for about $10 each, also 100% cotton and decently constructed. These aren't luxurious items, but are good examples of garments that, if I take good care of them when washing, they have, and will, last a very long time! I do aim to be able to buy pieces that will inevitably cost more due to quality of material or production, but I have found over the years that as I've shopped fast-fashion more intentionally, I have been able to spend less for a time, save up a little more, and reward myself here and there with "forever" items without breaking the [small] bank.
Edit: Obviously I commented on this before getting to Myth #3 & 4 😅 so I guess my contribution is more like a "case in point," lol, but I do hope to hear more discussion around this topic for sure 😊
When I was a poor college student and first working, I bought inexpensive items from Target or Salvation Army. But it is how you put them together and accessorize them that really makes an outfit. Also, it is important when on a seriously restricted budget, to iron and take extra good care of what items one does have. This keeps them looking newer longer, and less tatty. A little spray fabric sizing and a good press makes a cheap white shirt look fabulous.
The best expert on colourful capsules of all styles is Daria Andronescu and her unique method Wonder Wardrobe! She won't tell you to have jeans, white shirt etc . She can help you to incorporate anything you have or want to wear. She's here on YT of course. I agree with maintaining these beautiful items we purchase. Having a great cobbler or dry cleaner & seamstress are so important. I’ve changed buttons on coats and made them look like a fresh new coat. Or just getting a leather handbag professionally cleaned. Such simple things that help complete a polished look. ❤
One of the big issues for the sustainability model for me is I’ve finally recognized that most of the ethical sustainable brands just aren’t my style. When I look at the pieces that sit unworn in my closet they are usually from these brands. I’m petite so the oversized look doesn’t make me feel comfortable, which is a lot of those brands main aesthetic. The clothes I wear the most are pieces that are more fitted. Because I’ve had some of these ‘high street’ pieces for years, I feel okay about making a purchase so long as I a) truly need the item b) I try to find it 2nd hand first.
I also like your comments on fixing things that need mending first. I have a handbag I bought 7 years ago that has started to wear in the corners. I bought a new one (same style) but it’s actually become bigger in size since the original one I purchased. So I returned it and am looking for a repair shop that could add leather or reinforcement to the corners to keep using the one I love. Capsule wardrobes are about what we love and being conscious purchasers. Whether that means lots of colors or not! (My wardrobe is a lot of black grey and blue 😅). Great content as always!
Oversized clothes and minimalistic estetic doesn''t suit me either. I would recommend you to shop at spanish or french sustainable brands, because their sizing is smaller. For example spanish brand Twothirds (it is also quite affordable) or french Balzac Paris, Sézane (I am not 100 % sure of the sustainibility of the last one, maybe it 's just greenwashing). And people at Wonder Wardrobe would recommend you ethical brands for petites for sure.

I think practically should be considered alongside love. Like I don’t love my black long sleeve shirt and rarely wear it on it’s own, but it has an important place in my wardrobe as a neutral layer to give extra warmth and enable me to wear the pieces I do love even in really cold weather!

I want to add some insights and experiences to your inspiring video. The huge problem I often see as a fashion consultant is that most of the people react on fashion trends and colours instead of getting to know which colour palette really suits them. We all have unique colours on us- it is crucial to know them- then it is easier to define the core of your colour range. Knowing the best basic colours, knowing the vibrant colours which match your colour type and the basic colours is key. Of course, a colour consultation like you are offering, and I as well, are key. Second, buying high labels to add the extra level- can be done secondhand. Through Rebelle I got a perfect Etienne Aigner bag which adds class to my outfits. 3. And my third thought for all the people who like to create a capsule wardrobe and don´t know how to start: Go through your wardrobe and list out similar pieces. A classic I often see in the wardrobes of my clients are blouses, always the same type, the same message. Or- ten similar pants etc, with slightly different details...I recommend them to really get the best blouse out, choose the best pieces for them- from pants to blouses, hang them together and then start to fill in the gaps. It is key to understand what certain pieces should do for you- how you want to feel in them and which level you want to play on. All the best, Sonja

I have a capsule wardrobe within my wardrobe. That is, a core of clothes that are the base, and if I travel, those are the clothes that I can pack for a trip without worrying about making outfits. If you use the term capsule or minimalist, however, the chances are good that someone will argue with you because they don't define the terms in the same way.

In the beginning I had a very hard time finding inspiration for a capsule as I never (like almost ever) wear pants: skirts and dresses are my personal go-tos even in winter. So, I do me…I have adapted a few formulas to my own style and preference.
The most important rule for me is: I have to feel comfortable.
Capsule wardrobe? Neutral colors? Perfect! Since i had my color analysis, I’m in heaven: i know exactly what looks best on me and everything matches! Being a bright winter, my neutral colors are white and black, pink, red, blue and green 😁 I only look at these colors, others do not interest me anymore. What a relief!

Question: I treated myself to a style consultation when I turned 40 and it was a great help in making my professional and personal choices better in terms of cut and color. I am now 54 and have different constraints, a heavier body, and gray hair. Do I have to do an expensive style consultation again as a more “mature” woman? I appreciate this video, I am not a pants gal and I almost dress exclusively in dresses and skirts (with shirts) and almost all of the capsule wardrobe channels push the narrative that pants are essential and while I own some pants for practical reasons I don't get more then one per purpose. I'm just not a fan of pants lol. I appreciate the acceptance of other styles.
So glad you are addressing this. I would to reduce my clothes and I like some neutrals, I don’t want to only wear neutrals. And just 30 items or a really small amount of items is not going to work for me.

I really love a capsule wardrobe and I do try to mix and match as much as possible. However I do always end up with Black 99% of the time. My problem is that I am severely colour blind so that makes it quite hard to be sure which colour it actually is.

The taking a break from some of my items has been huge for me.
After years I discovered I don't like patterns anymore... I used to like stripes but recently whatever pattern I try just don't feel right. So I stay with plain but strong colours-my favourite is black, white, grey and navy, and for color pop-red-even if that red is a lipstick. I pair my tops with mid wash blue denim-the only blue I can handle😁

I struggle with purses and shoes. I have a black purse and a light beige. When I’m wearing camel or navy and then only have say a black purse I find it looks misplaced. Like yesterday I wore a light pink skirt, navy blouse, navy glasses, and a light pink jacket and I feel my black shoes and purse looked odd 🫤
