Pau has said DPS is a band she really likes, so when DPS heard that, the invite to TW went out and Pau jumped on it. Their subscriber count jumped from the exposure they got from Pau.
Her live harmonization with the DPS vocalist sounds incredible. The Warning are so good at harmonizing they make it look easy, even live, but it is not.
The guys from Dead Poet Society were being interviewed, after their set. They were asked which act at Aftershock they were excited to see. The answer was, "The Warning", but they were disappointed to find out that TW had already played their set.
Agreed on both scores, see my comment-reply above addressing both (the carrot to go find it is that I posted links to both the TW cover and Alanis' original too)
This performance happened just two weeks ago. How this all happened is that the vocalist of DPS sent a message to Ale, asking her if any one of them wanted to sing with them live and Pau was the one who said yes. The same producer (Anton DeLost), who produced the new The Warning album, also produced Dead Poet Society. During the recording of the album, he played Pau specificaly this song and she absolutely loved it. She even went to see them live early this year on her birthday. There's a video from that show of Pau and Dany dancing to this song. Oh, and DPS are from Boston. I actually never heard of them before, until The Warning shared this performance on their Instagram. That's a second band that I discovered thanks to them 😀 And one more thing. Just to let you know, The Warning just did a cover of You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette at SiriusXM. They shared a snippet of that performance on their Instagram, but the whole thing is currently available only on the SiriusXM app. I'm hoping they will eventually upload it to UA-cam.
@@MrsRealistic Well, there are already two fan re-uploads from an hour ago. One of them is just the audio, the other one is also with the video. But I would rather wait for an official upload, since these might get taken down by SiriusXM.
FunFact DPS reached out and asked if a member of the band would like to do a song with them Paulina said "I would" rest is history. And great job Pau !!
Either The Warning or Pau herself posted a clip of the girls watching DPS perform on the shiprocked cruise. The were dancing and obviously having a great time. I don't know if they connected then, but it would make sense. I didn't think of the Royal Blood comparison, but you're right. I just saw Royal Blood a couple months ago. Another band that gets an epic sound from just a couple guys. Thanks, this was fun to see.
I love this mini colab! I recently discovered DPS because Spotify has been feeding them to me based on my playlists. I kept thinking, these guys are rowdy - and freaking great. Their latest album is excellent!
Pau loves them. DPS is a great band. This is just one of those moments of love. How can you not love either band? 🤘⚡❤️ For DPS and The Warning! Nothing but love!
Pau is a force of nature to be reckoned with for sure. Now we (The Warning Army) just want a little something with Ale next. LOL!! Great reaction my friend. Peace and Love to you and your family.
As per above - she's already "panned gold" - she don't need no backup plans. You just watch, all three of them going to become sought after models too.
I was at this festival napping before before the warning came on, when I heard her singing I ran to that stage and caught most of this song... 20 min later she was playing her drums on another stage with n her sisters... it was a great show
I believe they are originally from the Boston area. They originally met and formed their band in 2013 while attending the Berklee College of Music (so they are probably no slouches as musicians), where coincidentally The Warning attended the summer program in 2014(?). I think they probably met while they were on the Shiprocked cruise together. 😎👍
It's worth checking out some other videos of this performance on your own time, perhaps. This video has the best audio, by far, but it misses some fun moves that Pau does when the camera is looking elsewhere
@@MrsRealistic +1 for always recording horizontal video! It's harder to do with one hand, but it looks and sounds better! I wish there were cleaner audio of this. Pau's mic was a bit low in the mix.
This is a fantastic band. Paulina expressing her love for this latest album is what got me into them. I obsessively had this album looped non-stop for a month or so.
This collab is freaking Awesome! The official release for this collab between Dead Poet Society and The Warning ⚡ will release on December 12th by the way. Keep Rocking!😎🤘
Thanks to Pau I'm a new follower of Dead Poet Society on Spotify. They're not in The Warnings league but they have some great songs that are playlist-worthy.
Official Studio version (audio only) came out today, and now Dany is on board too!... Not sure if Ale is on Bass duties because can't hear her., probably in the choruses too. Check it if you have a chance, sounds great!

I read that Pau had to boot it over to another stage where TW were about to play.

Now a full collaboration between both bands on this song! Just released and on Spotify.
Pau is so amazingly stunning and talented.
It’s so nice to see her cut loose and have a lot of fun onstage (more than she normally does…lol).

For this song, DPS had the same producer as TW did for KMF, Anton DeLost from London, Canada (where we last saw TW).

Ha ha! Nice one!
Pau started to listening to their stuff while making KMF, because Dead Poet Society's last album was produced by Anton DeLost.

Podrías reaccionar a la versión de una canción de Alanis Morriset que hizo the warning? Gracias
They needed to raise her mic levels a bit, I could barely hear her.
I thought she needed to be louder as well!
I think it was because it was the backup singer’s mic, which was probably set to a lower volume (and the FOH was asleep at the wheel).
