That converter will NOT work on hair dryers. It's best to find a hotel that has a hair dryer. There are curling irons that will work on 220V. It's best not to mess with those converters because they are not true converters; if they were, they would work with hair dryers. You also don't need a converter for things like laptops, tablets, smartphones; so why not just bring a less expensive power strip that can work on 220V like most of the ones from Anker and don't plug in anything that will not work in 220V, like hair dryers and most curling irons.
The converter/adapter works great on all my hair appliances - I’ve used it for 3+ years with no problems 🙂
