I only like about half of the models from the faction, so I wouldn’t be inclined to dive in with these for Firefight. If a small box of 10-15 were done as a Deadzone strike team, something like the reanimation division set, then I think I might.
‘Nameless adjacent’ is a very apt description. If it came down to it for firefight, I would rather play Nameless (were it an option).
Finally, yes…Reba at the very least need a starter box for Deadzone. It’s been too long.
Rebs need new models, Andrew has been waiting forever.
I think these guys will be good for DZ, but I need rules to break them down. We don’t play FF, but this may tip the scales.
Based on leaked pre-orders from a game store site, it seems like the Matsudan and Nightstalker Deadzone boxes are tentatively scheduled for release on July 24th. So hopefully we'll see the Deadzone rules for both in July!
The Matsudan boxes seem to mention Ronin, a Gyoji (reference to sumo?), Crocodogs, Gravbikes, a Daidarabotchi mech, and a Matsudan variant of the Marionettes.
See, that sounds really awesome. I have 2 packs of the old Matsudons and Ota, would love to run an army of just Matsudons, without any Marionettes.
@@familyofgamers777 Update: just checked the Firefight list builder, and it looks like the new Matsudan stuff has been added to an Asterian (Beta) list. The Matsudan faction hasn't been added to the Deadzone list builder yet, but the new Firefight entries should give a better idea of what they're getting and how it might play in Deadzone.
@@MidniteCathedral I saw that. The only thig is I'd like to see some variety in Deadzone from Firefight. The DZ should have differences because if the smaller/skirmish size. Keep your fingers crossed.
The Rebs should be in the Vault. No question.
I disagree. I think they are popular enough that they will receive a hard plastic release with upgrades available on the vault.
I think the old models should be in the Vault, and then new plastics come out, also, how about some new units
@@familyofgamers777 the old models (except Star Saga) are hand sculpted, so no way to get them to the vault. Ronnie mentioned in the latest update, that after the summer campaign, the people may decide what hard plastic sprue is next. Mobilize all the Rebs lovers out there (I'm on of them from the start!) and let's make this a Reb-Reality!

The Rebs have been out of stock since like 2018! They really need to redo them and get them back into the game! I can’t believe they are adding new factions before they gave us new Rebs! They don’t need new rules they play just fine now but they need miniatures people can’t play a faction that doesn’t have miniatures!

I hope they revamp the Rebs models too. It’s been a long time, would be great. I bet it would spark an interest in the faction
When you're talking at 50:00 ish about the assasin i couldnt help but wonder, whats your opinion on the caratid? i feel like that model is everything an assasin should be balanced out by being a specialist
The. Static is a beast! He is so good with Frenzy 2, and only 4 points more than the Assassin. Not the biggest fan of the model, but he is a definite add to a nameless list.
Love Rebs. Nightstalkers are great. Dislike the reuse of scarecrows, won’t be an FF faction for me out of the gate. Deadzone I’m going to snatch up immediately!
I agree, but, the FF box is a good deal. I hate when I have to get more at the start. All at once for us. I would like to try them at FF. Of course Deadzone is a given.
Why do the marauders need new stats?
The alpha reb stuff from star saga should be on the vault

Honestly nightstalkers feel like deamons in 40k. A faction you can use in multiple games.
That’s the best description. Deamons from the warp, Monsters from your nightmares. The deamons would be a good proxy for them. Looking forward to this release
Last few runs of crazy boxes had some rebs. Ive converted a lot of rebs though from dreadball teams and star wars legion
I think they were good 11 years ago, now they need an upgrade. Star Wars legion Rebel Troopers work great!
I think the big gun dog is actually on a 50mm or 60mm base looking the size comparison.... so it's 'uge from what I can tell!!!

The hilarious thing is that both my buddies factions, nameless and rebs dont show up on mantics deadzone page, only in the store 😂
That’s harsh. The only thing is the whole Nameless faction is in the Vault. Rebs, We are still holding on to hope.
@23:00 that would be a great feature in the Companion app, the ability to notice how many copies of each model one have ( I remember it was avalible, along with the home made picture of the models, in the free app that preceded Companion)

The flyers make me think of the creatures from the movie The Mist. Other dimensional horrors.

Come on! I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.... It's just a reskin of Nameless (shrug of the shoulders). And besides, I've always admired Mantic for creating such a high level of probability of what lies ahead for humanity in the Warpath universe (Magacorps taking over, discoveries of other species without the ramblings of religious fanatics a.k.a. 40k), but I feel that once we start deploying scarecrows in silly hats in the DZ, it will be lost forever...😭😱
I don’t agree with you and Ryan, about the nameless reskin. I do see the similarities, but there are a lot more differences. The funny hat and pumpkins is hard to get over, I will agree to that.
Andrew asking where’s Rebs? Is the equivalent of release the Snyder cut. No one wants it but a loud minority.
