- I read a few articles that mention that Gig Harbor is one of the most picturesque town in the PNW and even in the US! I had to find out for myself. Less than 60 minutes from Seattle this little maritime city did not disappoint. Taking the scenic route along the waterfront you’ll find it beautiful, charming and of course picturesque! Here are a few things to do and explore in Gig Harbor, WA.
🏔 Waterfront & Views: Finholm View Climb
The 100-step Finholm View Climb offers multiple landings with benches to sit and admire the incredible vantage points overlooking the harbor and the marina. On a clear day you can see Mount Rainier.
🌊 Along The Waterfront
Harborview Drive is easy to navigate. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, cafes, tasting rooms, shops and parks. A great place to stop and take-in the views is Skansie Brothers Park.

A wonderful State Park. Easy hike down to the waterfront. Great place for a picnic and walk along the water. Beautiful views. Restrooms in the parking lot and don’t forget your Discovery Pass.
