I loved this game, I felt like the world had fell apart while playing it. Coming across nest, burning them down, sneaking through hotels, going for loot runs at night. Days Gone deserved a sequel, it was a masterpiece
A sequel would be beneficial I'd be highly anticipated like Dragons Dogma 2 when it comes to hype seeing the potentials it can improved upon, and Days Gone reception was bugs during release that were already fixed and the slow burn tutorial.
I despise the a-holes that negatively reviewed it and caused sales to tank, the game didn't deserve that (and absolutely deserves a sequel)
Sorry for being blunt, but this game is so incredibly boring, it's literally just walking/driving and shooting all the time. Why is it praised so much? I've played 7DTD heavily modded for almost 3k hours, it never gets boring because you got so much different stuff to do all the time, it's never just running around and shooting stuff... Seems like the average 90 second attention span kid would enjoy this game.

I want a game like this where it’s open world and you play where other human players can enter and you can form large factions and go to war with other human encampments.. have in random tanks and other vehicles you can use and zombies too and that would be fun.
@@dzudemlow what I liked in this game when I first played it was the graphics and core mechanics, rarely there are games that make you feel the value of fuel and allow you to traverse using a bike (most games are car based). Also, at the time when I was playing it, there were no alternatives that I had, so gta releases, no mafia, nothing, so I decided to stick and finish this game. I think what I liked in the game was the feeling of having an open world, where you plan first and then act, had this game not had the concept of fuel, it would be another no-brainer game where you dont plan your moves (perhaps, cant say for sure). It did felt boring at times, but I think the graphics and lack of choices made me stick to it till the end.
How Deacon feels about Sarah’s “thank you’s” is how I’m starting to feel about your “Sorry’s” for the long videos. Phenomenal story so far, I can’t get enough of your episodes and sit there waiting to see when you drop the next one! Keep it up and can’t wait for the next one! 🤘🏼

I absolutely LOVE how Boozer was like, "I don't give a damn WHAT they've got, We'll come and get you and Sara". True friends will go through the shit to pull you out on the other side of trouble. Gives me the chills. I've done the same for friends of mine, late night at 3 a.m., A male friend calling you from a bar who is about to get into it with locals or some such, or a female friend calling you from the police station needing bailed out and brought back to base. Stuff like that, I miss those bonds I had. Boozer had it in his voice, "I'M ON MY WAY" and that's so rare these days. Great characters, good writing. And Fooster playing it makes it all the better.
Underrated gem! Riding a custom bike around a beautiful region while battling the horrors is quite satisfying.
Days Gone isnt underrated at all... has won many awards since its PS4 release in 2019... everyone knows how good this game was.. the PC release only made even more popular.
i'm going to need another long series after Days Gone is over. Something about these full game playthroughs here with Fooster hit differently.

@@hellcat1401 i was thinking GOW because of all the mythology that he could ooh and ahh over. I think that's what sets him apart from other creators imo. It's nice to hear someone have a genuine compassion/interest in specific topics and graphics. Though I'm not sure GOW is something he'd be interested in. Maybe TLOU 1&2?

Finished work earlier, just finished my run, been sitting in my desk chair straight up zoning out scrolling through the 'Tube putting off homework and THIS shows up! Fooster!! You beauty! I have been absolutely LOVING this series. I discovered your channel through Pacific Drive and from there I've dug into the rest of your content, with this series being towards the top of my list. Love the eerie first-person horror style games you do! But this game is truly in a league of its own. We gotta bug the devs for a sequel!! Even though I don't even know how the game ends, I know it needs to be continued, just so you can stream it haha.

Unfortunately, Sony axed the sequel that bend had planned. Days gone is a great game today but it had a bad launch and underperformed in their opinion. It’s sad and I wish they would at least let us know what the story for the second game would’ve been. The “true” ending gives us a hint, but I want more lol

I mean, it helps that it's a trope seen in about *three hundred* other pieces of zombie fiction.
This is kind of my failing point with this game. It came out way too late in the zombie fad and it was forced to retread ground we've seen over and over and over again. It's probably why the game 'slipped' and is fairly forgotten despite a relatively strong first push... people still remember TLOU. Nobody remembers this game, in part because the 'zombie' aspect is so hum-drum. Zombies are a >>>>TRASH
@@fnhatic6694 I wouldn't really call Skizzo, most the militia, or the guards at cloverdale insane tbh. Skizzo just an opportunistic power hungry a-hole. The cloverdale guards just selfish and brutal. And a large chunk of the militia dipped when the colonel started losing it. I honestly think more people left with kouri than we see because there were supposed to be about 1000 militia, but only like around 100 were still at the camp. Other than that tough, yeah kinda. But I still enjoyed it 🤷🏻♂
@@osric729 When I say 'insane' I'm using it to also include 'psychopath'. Skizzo is absolutely a psychopath. The guy is a complete monster top to bottom. He's the kind of guy who in civilized society, would've been hanging from a noose in the town square before he was 16.
The guards at Cloverdale were absolutely insane. They literally ran around shooting all the scientists when the outbreak was like five minutes old. They were basically just waiting for a reason to go on a shooting spree. Remember, the lab workers were literally in their cars, driving home, when they were shot, so how much actual news about the outbreak could there have been at that point? Nothing. Basically it'd be like upon hearing the early reports of Covid, that someone just went and shot everybody in an Amazon Warehouse and declared it their survival bunker. That'd be insane.
Additionally, the faction warfare begins to make no sense. In a world like Days Gone, what is there to actually be 'power hungry' for? There isn't. It's not like reality where being the Emperor gets you a gilded palace and women and wine. It's not like Iron Mike or even the Colonel is driving around in a sports car. You don't even get PAID in the militia, so what good is Skizzo's aspirations for rank? And it makes no sense for all these factions (at least the main three) to be constantly at each other's throats. People who make zombie games seem to love impressing modern sensibilities on a scenario where there wouldn't be modern sensibilities. Even someone like Skizzo should recognize that living in safety and comfort of Lost Lake is a better proposition than grabbing impotent, worthless power that doesn't actually do him any good at all.
This actually folds into a broader problem I had with TLOU that you see in this game that makes everybody look insane and it's the total disregard for their own lives that anybody has.
When you play a 'war' game, you're attacking other soldiers, who mostly signed up and are trained for combat and what the consequences could be. But when you play a zombie game where you have to fight other survivors, there's a massive dissonance.
First, like 99% of humanity is dead. Everybody knows that by this point, extinction is around the corner, so the value of a human life is pretty high. But there's just like these weird genocidal purges everybody is thrilled to carry out for reasons that are never exactly compelling.
Second, the survivors (key word, SURVIVORS) are utterly suicidal. These aren't soldiers, they're random people who want to live (thus, survivors). And you literally machine-gun your way through them from the beginning of the game to the end. These people literally charge directly into your gunfire, armed with goddamn table legs and baseball bats, screaming like a Highland Berserker, waiting to die.
TLOU had several moments where you're just murdering everybody but instead of surrendering or running away they just go insane and try to attack you with 2x4s. TOLU has an entire 'escape' scene on a horse where for no reason there's like THREE THOUSAND cannibals running out of the woods in every direction, shrieking like madmen, waiting for you to cut them down.
It's insane. Everybody in zombie games is always totally insane.
Watched from the start and loving every minute. It’s a game I’ve always wanted to play but knowing I’d be all fingers and thumbs I’ve never bought it. Looking forward to the next episode, already bought the popcorn and drink, just need you to upload the next.

I'm not usually a fan of watching entire playthroughs of games like this (multiple hours long spanning multiple episodes), but I've been loving this series. Haven't missed an episode
I just want to say this: before you start the mission to go back south with the truck against Crater Lake, max out both Copeland's and Tucker's camps, because it gives you an additional cutscene when you do start the mission. And I think you are going to love that
Also, after finishing the game and watching the credits, there are 4 secret "main missions" that pop up that act as epilogues/closure for different things. Be sure to not miss them as well, I'm sure you will love them too

These longer episodes are awesome Fooster. This game is so good even my wife watches when she can just to see whats happening next with the characters and she doesnt watch any gamers that alone says alot about your content. Keep up the awesome work fooster.
When going into an enemy camp, I love running near some freakers to get a small swarm following me, then dashing through the camp. You can watch the freakers take out most of the enemies for you.
im gonna be so sad when this series is over.....everytime i tune in to the next installation i cant get enough...i get left on cliff hangers making me literally on edge until the next one comes out! such a good story...awesome characters and i love the missions...theyre all different so the game doesnt become repetitive! i love all your content but these story driven games are my fave! cant wait till the next one!

Fooster, this game is insane. When you think you've figured it out, the game throws a wrench in your idea and heads off in another direction. I LOVE the intensity you have for this game. The "Come On, Come On" moments put me on the edge of my seat. There is no need to apologize for the duration of the video; you had me on pins and needles as soon as it started and kept me there until the end. BRAVO.
My logical side kicks in. Deek should have had Lost Lake relocate to Cloverdale. There is everything any Commune could ever want, and more. Sara would have an entire Science lab at her disposal.

The added echo to your talking while Deek was in the cave with Sarah, then the transition back to normal while walking out of the cave 🤌 so good

I worked at Crater Lake National Park for two summers in my youth… That a a recognizable, but very “gamified” version of the lake. The real one is much larger, and a true wonder to see.

Most underrated game of all time! IIRC; because it starts a bit slower - and then quickly ramps up into a frenzy - critics at the time who only played the beginning slammed it and killed it at birth. I can only dream of a sequel, and I cannot recommend this game enough if you haven't played it yet.

I've been absolutely on the edge of my seat throughout this series, but this one's been the best. The buildup of the story line is incredible. Can't wait for your next episode. I am going to hate to see it end.
