Sailed the Caribbean on the Grandeur in February of this year. Excellent experience from start to finish. Sailing again with Regent in February and September of '25. Don't mind paying a little more to get a little more👍

Good for you, I'm sure the Grandeur was beautiful and the service on Regent is excellent! It really is worth it:) Thanks for watching and enjoy your upcoming cruises.

Mi was scheduled to be on the Navigator but it’s been changed to the Voyager, so that might be good. It’s my first cruise in 35 years. I chose Regent because my sister loved her cruise and I need a small ship. Thanks for this info

We haven't been on Voyager yet but I think you're right since it's a newer ship! You'll have a great time!

You guys hit the nail straight on the head ! After you factor in all the added costs on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity you end up paying about the same but without the luxury.

Thank you for saying so. We try to explain this all the time but people just don't factor in those added costs:( Starting to see some good deals in Alaska on the Explorer this summer! Thanks for watching:)

Don’t go to Alaska past August as the weather precludes the ship from reaching several of the ports.

We're going on Grandeur in a month, but thinking about booking for a cruise on Navigator a year from now (July 2025). I understand that Navigator will be going in for refurbishment at the end of 2025, so not surprised that she's looking a bit worn.

Have a great time next month - I'm sure the Grandeur is beautiful! Glad to hear that the Navigator will be refurbished, she's a great size ship! Thanks for the information and for watching our video:)

In addition to all of those inclusions you listed, LAUNDRY is included (not just self-serve launderettes but you can submit for cleaning as much of your dirty clothes . . . only dry cleaning is excluded) AND there is NO upcharge for Specialty Restaurants - granted on Navigator there's only one (Prime 7), but on other Regent ships, there are 2 or 3 Specialty Restaurants (a French cuisine restaurant called Chartreuse, and an Asian-fusion restaurant called Pacific Rim, the latter being our favorite).
The outdoor recreation areas (cornhole, shuffle board, pickle ball court & putt putt course) are aft on Regent's newer ships Explorer & Splendor, reducing the wind factor. Btw, on an Explorer sailing in the Med around this time last year, our suite was on Deck 12, and during the "Block Party" one of our "neighbors" invited us in to see he & his wife's forward Grand Suite; while an exceptional spacious accommodation, he pointed out that their massive wrap around deck was useless on sea days due to the wind.
By the way this is an interesting fun fact about Navigator's origins:

I did some quick math on the costs, depending on the cruise, and departure port, end port, it was about $30 per day more on Regent. Only downside, they do not offer "adult only" no kids cruises.

That sounds about right, and the service is worth that extra cost! We've been on 2 Regent cruises, both of them had exactly 1 kid on the ship. Both well behaved, did not bother us at all. Also, both cruises were during the school year when most kids are in school. Usually, if you choose a cruise 10+ days, you don't see many kids. Thanks for watching and for running the numbers:)

Big fan of Regent. Just come of the Mariner and found that to be tired too.

Agreed - we were on Mariner in Dec. Plumbing problems in the cabins on both Navigator and Mariner:( Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Thanks. We are booked for the navigator in Nov doing a transatlantic to Miami and doing a back to back on same ship. Looking forward. Would love to know about the excursions.

The best advice is book excursions asap, the best excursions fill up fast! We have booked 2 Regent cruises last minute and therefore booked excursions late. So many have been full that we have chosen to do our own thing or stay on the ship rather than booking something that is still available but that we are not interested in. Also, we have waitlisted for excursions we would really like, and never have been cleared to go. Finally, we have loved all the excursions we have done with Regent, you really can't go wrong!

we took a cruise on the Navigator in 2009, before the upgrades and loved it! The room was very nice and we really enjoyed the balcony. All the food was good and it was a great experience. As a friend told me, "your experience was not typical. Regent has ruined all other cruises for you."

The Regent Seven Seas Navigator is an old converted Russian weather ship. Look it up.

We were not at all impressed with this ship. It was not luxury at all. We just disembarked last week. would not reccommend.

    • @WHATSNEXT-TRACY_SCOTT

Sorry you were so disappointed. It is the oldest of their ships, they offer the best prices on this ship also. The Mariner is not far behind, also good deals offered. After speaking with a lot of cruisers while on the Mariner, we have decided our next Regent cruise will be on either the Splendor or Grandeur. But that means a higher cost to cruise:( Thanks for sharing!

So what ship would you consider luxurious ?

    • @WHATSNEXT-TRACY_SCOTT
      @WHATSNEXT-TRACY_SCOTT  5 місяців тому +1

The Flora was definitely a luxury ship. When on there we never wanted for anything. Crew to passenger ratio is almost 1 to 1. And the Galapagos is an extraordinary place to visit. You can see our experience if you watch our Galapagos videos. Thanks for watching.
