Gary's AC was spraying water in the engine compartment when making a left turn & dripping water on the front passenger floor mat. We knew it would be a simple diy fix so a quick call to the dealership helped us find the drain line hose location so we could fix the problem ourselves without spending a dime or wasting time waiting at the mechanics shop. Booooom!!!! Wife has been complaining about this hissing sound and the passage floor board getting wet. Found this video. Squeezed my tail under there...finally found it. 1 quick burst of air and a swimming pool poured out of it. Awesome video! Been it saved me a few hundred at least! Thank you

Mine is a 2017! The first time this happened was years ago, my local dealership fixed it at no charge since it's common in Sorento.
This time, I wasn't sure if they were going to be as courteous, I figured a youtube video would show me so glad I found this video lol it was straight to the point

Thank you for the video, I actually had my shop vac out sucking up the water on the passenger side floor board and decided to use it to suck out the debris and it worked like a charm. Water came gushing out.

Back in my younger days I helped build the new engine we put in our 1971 Ford F150 but realistically Joe stood over me and told me what to do. We bought a block from the junk yard, had it dipped and bored, put in an oversized cam, roller fulcrum rocker arms and topped it off with a 4 barrel. Our son who was 15 at the time was so excited the day we started the truck with the new 4 barrel so he had all of his friends over. They were not disappointed when the flames shot out the top of the carburetor. Great show for teenage guys. I even changed the distributor in the same truck while passers by did a double take of me sitting on the engine and Joe standing by the truck. 😆 I understand some about cars because I grew up with older brothers and a dad that were all very mechanical. I literally know nothing about what I did for his AC so I learned by watching UA-cam videos and talking with the dealer mechanic over the phone. I was so proud of myself. Joe made me leave in the strong language because it made the task entertaining and realistic. Thank you for watching and commenting.

My 2017 Kia Sorento is leaking water underneath the glovebox every time the ac is on. May just give this a try and see if it fixes the issue.

On road trip and a lot of water was getting on passenger side floor. Stopped by Office Depot to get a can of compressed air to clean computers and key boards. Inserted the small hose in the drain hose and covered with my finger. A lot of water drained out. Thanks for video!

I tried this but no luck. Also opened it from passenger from compartment and blew compressed air, took hose off and blew air. No luck, any ideas? The water is in the rear passenger floor. No bad seals
Since our leak was in the front riders side and the hose was closer to the front, I wonder if you could have a second hose near the central or rear of the SUV if you have rear air conditioning? It should be the same size open rubber tube. I'd look around the rear area between the rear tires. Might not be centrally located between the tires but could even be closer to the rear riders side tire. One of our Kia Sorentos has a rear air conditioner in addition to a front one so it's possible you might have a front and separate rear one. I'd check ours to tell you where to look but we just got a major snowstorm and temps are below zero tonight. Hopefully this information is helpful. Let me know if you found a second tube. I'm sure it would be helpful for someone else chasing the same problem.

Lots of videos showing same technique. But, where is the debris ending up? Can’t we unclog it in a way that sends it out of the discharge end of the hose?
After you send the burst of air into the hose underneath the vehicle, the debris comes back out onto the ground like what's shown in the video. This method is what the dealership suggested. The problem was resolved and he's not had a problem since.Thank you for watching and commenting.
I have this exact same problem with my 2015 Kia forte. When the water builds up, as soon as I make a left-hand turn the water gets into my fan motor and makes it screech. Hopefully this will be enough for me to do it myself and fix the problem. When it happened last year, I took it to the dealership to get it fixed because I didn’t know what the problem was. But this video makes it a lot easier. Thank you.
