Datsun1200 Rescue Part 3

Carrying on from our Datsun 1200 rescue videos we finally see the reasons behind Peters across state hunt for Datsun's to save. In this video the repaired and painted body shell arrives in Melbourne from Perth in Weston Australia. From the hands of master fabricator Peter Neale then on to Paint and Panel Maestro Peter Shaw, the red Datsun 1200 emerges in a blaze of glory. We can only wait in anticipation to for the next stage of the build.

Looks great! Though I was left wondering what was that on the front left fender (passenger) toward the front end of the body line? looked like a gouge or a ding?

Yes the work was done in Perth which is about 3,500km from Melbourne. Apparently a tie down strap came loose in transport and rubbed on the left front guard, Pete the owner has accepted it and it will be repaired when the trans tunnel is replaced.
